About: I’ve had a dog since age 10 (now a sweet old boy!) and have fostered puppies! From shy and snuggly to playful and curious - I’ve met them all! Student at UH studying botany in my last year! Pretty flexible and looking to spend time with the pups of the island - originally from California with a good boy at home - I’m looking to cure some homesickness with your doggy! At home, my dog enjoys a fenced yard with plenty of sunshine for his sunning and naps with my cat (supervised of course) and both animals have free reign of the house. “Rebecca came on 10/2/2024 to meet and greet and meet our dog, Ebony. She agreed to come Friday 10/4/4 at 4:30pm to stay with Ebony while we were out for a few hours. Ebony has severe separation anxiety and doesn't like to be left alone. She showed up at the agreed time and brought her own food. While we were out Rebecca gave Ebony a bath and cut some dried-up food and hair off his face. When we came home, she said Ebony is nice soft now after his bath. We would recommend Rebecca. She was on time and spent time with Ebony on the porch swing, which he loves. When she took Ebony outside, she stayed with him. About: I’ve had dogs ever since I was 8. In the past I’ve had a boxer, a puggle, and an American Shorthair cat. I have a straight-haired toy poodle who I adore the most in the world (I’ve included pictures of him)! I have experience with dog walking and sitting. Joshua was an awesome pet sitter. We have three dogs and he quickly developed a rapport with each of them. He was extremely communicative during his stay, sending videos twice each day and he clearly enjoyed spending time with our pups. Maya was wonderful! She stayed at our home for a few nights to take care of our two dogs and our cat, and we couldn't be happier. Martina was a great fit for our family. We would definitely book her again. Martina came to our house in advance to meet our dog and her people, and we all thought she would be awesome with Jet, and she totally was. After we came home, our dog continued to keep an eye out the front window, looking for Martina. Martina did a fantastic job communicating with us and readily asked questions about things I didn’t think to cover. Martina and I have some significant life experiences in common and bonded over that. It felt like she was a friend I hadn’t seen for a long time as soon as I met her. We will definitely be requesting Martina again.
Reagan is an incredible sitter and lovely walker! He listens to your pup and their needs. Is able to provide cuddles, walks, adventures and listen to the smallest of details and quirks your pup may have! 10/10 will have him watch my malinois again. Xiaochang was AMAZING. We went on a road trip for about 10 days and i was never worried about my pets because she was constantly updating me! She sent photo updates every day, twice a day. You could really tell she cared for my pets. She even reached out to me about my sneezy cat because she was worried she made him sick! But he just has allergies lol. I felt at ease the entire time she was watching my dog and cat. I would 10/10 definitely book her again for any kind of service because i know she would treat my pets like they were her own!
I think Paloma was a trooper in the best way. She accepted a job in a house with an antique grandfather clock that has an audible tick-tock and quarterly chimes and requires manual winding. Our dog, Jet, really likes it because she can hear the progress toward mealtime. I appreciate Paloma stepping out of her comfort zone. I think the experience will broaden her experience and add to her value as a pet sitter. Paloma proactively communicated about issues that came up, largely dealing with the grandfather clock. I appreciate her taking the time to do that.
