“Rebecca took such great care of my two huskies. She took them for walks and kept them company the whole day. She also took great care of my place, and kept me updated on how things were going with lots of pictures! When I came back home, the girls were so calm and happy. I can’t recommend Rebecca highly enough! Thank you!’”
“Stella did a great job. Harley was walked 2-3 x a day. He really was Happy to see her when the key was dropped off. The house was left spotless. We would definitely use Stella again to watch Harley and our house.”

“Donna and Mike were the answer to our prayers for our senior Chihuahua Capri. They were both loving and kind while watching her and sent updates each day, sometimes multiple times a day! Our Capri has health challenges and requires medicine throughout the day as well as help with feeding and mobility since she has a hard time seeing with cataracts. They were wonderful from drop-off to pick-up and gave Capri lots of reassurance and cuddle time. We would highly recommend using them as sitters for your fur babies. We will definitely book them again!”

About: I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember! I am constantly around animals and having to commit myself to taking care of them. I am comfortable around all dogs and am willing to adapt and learn how to best care for your animal. When I come to take care of, play with, and walk your dogs I will dedicate my time to loving them. I have two puppers of my own - Charlie, a chihuahua terrier mix and a rescue, Maggie. I am currently home full time and am available for drop ins or house sittings when needed! I am also flexible and can accept last minute bookings. When in your home, I would love to take your fur babies for walks, to dog parks, anything you already do with them to make them the most comfortable! I now have a very flexible schedule, allowing me to be available for consistent walks throughout the week. Weekday mornings & afternoons work best for me. Safety is my top priority. I keep dogs on a leash, unless instructed otherwise, stay aware of my surroundings and avoid unsafe situations. I also make sure to treat every client’s home with respect and make sure the pets are comfortable.
About: Hello! My name is Samira. I am a reliable and caring dog lover with lifelong experience with dogs. I have grown up with dogs as pets since I was a child, which has helped me understand their needs, personalities, and behavior. I am very comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I used to also volunteer at an animal shelter, where I took dogs for walks, helped socialize them, and assisted with the adoption process. I take pride in being patient, attentive, and making sure every dog feels happy, safe, and well cared for. I currently have a full time job during the day so I am available anytime after 3:30pm on weekdays and anytime (morning-evening) on the weekends. Unfortunately, I won't be able to bring dogs to my home, but while caring for them at their home I will be sure to be mindful about treating your home respectfully while making sure to be loving companion for your pet.
“Thank you Bradey for taking care of our pups. The unexpected flight cancellation was definitely stressful but knowing that you were there to care for our babies was a relief. I know Roxy is not the easiest, with her anxiety and all, and we are so grateful that you continue to provide the best care for her. Bob has really enjoyed your company and we’re so happy he’s warmed up to you so much. You are amazing!”

“Tyrie did a great job watching my dog when I was out of town. She sent picture updates frequently and left the house very clean. My pup seemed happy and well cared for when we got home.”

About: I’ve had dogs ever since I was 8. In the past I’ve had a boxer, a puggle, and an American Shorthair cat. I have a straight-haired toy poodle who I adore the most in the world (I’ve included pictures of him)! I have experience with dog walking and sitting. I think that it’s such a delight to have pets around and would love to watch your furry friend on the weekends! I’ll be sure to send plenty of updates/photos/videos and treat your fur baby like my own. I’ve had experience with many different breeds of dogs from large German Shepherds to small senior Shih-Tzus and I love them all! Family and friends have always been able to rely on me to care for their pets. I love all animals (even though I do have a soft spot for cats and dogs) but I’ve also had birds, fish, a turtle, a hamster, and a bunny in the past. I recently graduated with my Bachelor’s and am taking classes to pursue my Master’s. I am also working as a tutor and behavior therapist with children on the spectrum but I would love to care for your fur babies in my free time! I can provide potty breaks, walk times, and play times and can ensure that your pet will get all my love and attention while they’re with me! :) SITTING AND DAY CARE: Currently I have on my calendar that I’m unavailable on most weekdays and only have availabilities on weekends, however this is just due to my work and school schedule as I don’t have as much time on weekdays as I would on weekends. However, if your fur baby is able to be alone between 4-6 hours on weekdays, feel free to reach out and I’d love to spend time with a new furry friend :) I ensure to respect each home that I am in and make sure to leave it as is, if not cleaner, than when I arrived. I excel at following instructions and always want every fur baby to feel comfortable and loved!
“David was truly awesome. I think our pets wish he was still there and we didn’t come back! He was very attentive and took such great care of them. He was also super communicative and sent pictures and an update every day. He was even flexible when our travel got messed up. I highly recommend him. He kept our pets and our house cared for and attended to. He is very thoughtful as well. Couldn’t ask for more.”

“Kiryl was excellent! Very responsive on time and took great care of my Matteo! Highly recommend Kiryl pet care and staying with your fur babies! Will definitely have him stay with my boy again! Many Thanks”

“Erika is a great house/cat sitter! We can trust her to handle everything that comes up day to day, keeping the household running smoothly. The kitties adore her—they are very spoiled and happy when we return. We are completely happy!”

“Dawn took fantastic care of not just my cat, but our house as well. She was very communicative, easy to work with, and I could see in the photos that my cat was happy and well looked after.”

About: Hi there! I bring years of hands on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and needs including my own husky and several senior pups requiring medical support and vet visits. Over my lifetime, I’ve owned and loved five dogs, and I understand the importance of treating every pet like family. Beyond pet care, I’ve been entrusted to look after luxury homes in Coto de Caza, Dove Canyon, Ladera Ranch, Irvine, and Newport. For over four years, I managed weekly household needs to coordinating with maids, landscapers, pool services, and more. I’ve cared for estates valued at $1-10 million, always leaving them spotless and secure. Whether it’s keeping up with energetic huskies, tending to senior dogs with extra care, or making sure your home is in perfect order, you can count on me to handle it all with reliability and professionalism. Rest assured I’ve got you (and your pets) covered. I’m available most days and love spending my time with pets. My own husky enjoys running 1-2 times a day, so staying active is already part of my routine. At home, I also care for two cats, so I’m comfortable balancing different personalities and needs. I treat every pet as if they were my own. Over the years, I’ve learned how to build trust quickly—even the shyest cats seem to warm up to me. I provide a safe, caring, and consistent environment where pets feel secure and loved.
“Kaitlyn took exceptional care of our special-needs Ragdoll while we were away. Our cat has asthma and requires multiple medications, including a nebulizer, an inhaler, and pills. Kaitlyn went above and beyond our expectations, ensuring he received all his treatments with care and patience. Not only is she extremely reliable and professional, but she also took great care of our home. When our kitty had a litter box accident and needed a bath, she handled it without hesitation—something not every pet sitter would be willing to do! On top of that, she spent more time with him than we even asked, knowing that he doesn’t like to be alone. That extra care and attention meant so much to us. We returned home to a well-cared-for cat and a house that was just as we left it. We highly recommend Kaitlyn to anyone looking for a compassionate, professional, and dependable pet sitter.”

“Hoai is by far the best dog sitter we've ever had for our beloved Gizmo. She genuinely cares about his well-being, going beyond just the basics to ensure he's happy and healthy. Not only did she watch over Gizmo with great attention, but she also took the initiative to help with his potty training, which has been incredibly helpful. Her communication is top-notch—she kept us updated regularly, sending us the cutest pictures of Gizmo while we were away. These little updates always made us smile and feel at ease. Hoai also went the extra mile by proactively sending us tips on Gizmo's training and overall well-being. We couldn't be more pleased with her services and will 100%”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Foothill Ranch
Donna and Mike were absolutely fantastic with our dogs over the 4th of July weekend. From the moment we left, they kept us completely at ease with constant communication, frequent updates, and tons of pictures that let us see just how much fun the dogs were having. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend Donna and Mike to anyone looking for trustworthy, caring, and attentive pet sitters, and we’ll absolutely be booking with them again in the future!

Maya was wonderful! She stayed at our home for a few nights to take care of our two dogs and our cat, and we couldn't be happier. All of our animals were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when we got home. She also left our house exactly as we left it, which we really appreciated. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our pets and home were in such good hands while we were away. We're so happy we found Maya and would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!

Joshua is great. I had to go out of town for a family emergency on short notice. I’ve never used Rover before, so I was a little nervous about it, but I didn’t have much of a choice. I messaged Joshua and he immediately messaged me back saying he was available. He offered to come over just 20 minutes after I first messaged him to do a quick meet and greet with the dogs. My pups pretended to do their guardians of the house routine but Joshua won them over in about two minutes flat. During my entire trip, Joshua was very communicative. He sent me a video every morning and evening so I could see how the dogs were doing. The dogs were pretty depressed looking on the first couple of days, but by day 3, I could see their tails wagging. Joshua was such a neat houseguest, too. I could hardly tell that anyone had stayed there. He even took out the trash before I got home. I’m very happy with this experience and I’d be happy to book with him again.

Martina was a great fit for our family. We would definitely book her again. Martina came to our house in advance to meet our dog and her people, and we all thought she would be awesome with Jet, and she totally was. After we came home, our dog continued to keep an eye out the front window, looking for Martina. Martina did a fantastic job communicating with us and readily asked questions about things I didn’t think to cover. Martina and I have some significant life experiences in common and bonded over that. It felt like she was a friend I hadn’t seen for a long time as soon as I met her. We will definitely be requesting Martina again.

Reagan is an incredible sitter and lovely walker! He listens to your pup and their needs. Is able to provide cuddles, walks, adventures and listen to the smallest of details and quirks your pup may have! 10/10 will have him watch my malinois again. Great knowledge of high energy working breeds as well

Xiaochang was AMAZING. We went on a road trip for about 10 days and i was never worried about my pets because she was constantly updating me! She sent photo updates every day, twice a day. You could really tell she cared for my pets. She even reached out to me about my sneezy cat because she was worried she made him sick! But he just has allergies lol. I felt at ease the entire time she was watching my dog and cat. I would 10/10 definitely book her again for any kind of service because i know she would treat my pets like they were her own!

Sharon was amazing! She took care of my dog Bean and my roommate’s dog on very short notice and did such a great job. Both dogs were happy, well cared for, and got lots of attention. She kept me updated, which gave me so much peace of mind. I really appreciate her flexibility and care, and I would absolutely book with her again.

We are so glad we found Julie. She watched our boy for a week and took great care of him and our home. She was very reliable and attentive, taking extra time to play with him to help reduce any separation anxiety. We wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again. Julie is great.

Brielle was the best house-sitter/dog-sitter I’ve ever had. She provided a detailed account at the end of each day of my dog’s activities, along with pictures. I felt so confident that she was here, and would absolutely love to use her services again. She is sweet, punctual and communicative. My dog loved her and she left my house exactly as she found it. She even watered my lawn. She cares about her job and definitely went above and beyond. I can tell she truly gave my dog the attention he needs and she really put my mind at ease while being away. She’s the best!

We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter than Taylor! She took amazing care of Mr. Dinkles while we were away for two weeks—he was clearly well loved and happy when we returned. The house was spotless and exactly as we left it. Taylor had the perfect balance of communication—thoughtful, timely, and respectful of our time away. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, responsible, and trustworthy pet and house sitter. 😻

Lauren was absolutely incredible and we will definitely be using her services again! We were in a pinch to find someone to not only watch our pup, but take care of our home while away. She was very respectful of the space, communicative throughout the process, came to meet us before the scheduled times to meet up and meet our dog, and was a great guest. Walter loves her amd can’t wait to have her back! Thank you so much, Lauren! You are the best!!!

I think Paloma was a trooper in the best way. She accepted a job in a house with an antique grandfather clock that has an audible tick-tock and quarterly chimes and requires manual winding. Our dog, Jet, really likes it because she can hear the progress toward mealtime. I appreciate Paloma stepping out of her comfort zone. I think the experience will broaden her experience and add to her value as a pet sitter. Paloma proactively communicated about issues that came up, largely dealing with the grandfather clock. I appreciate her taking the time to do that.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Foothill Ranch on Rover is $74.9 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 6,532 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Foothill Ranch. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Foothill Ranch walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Foothill Ranch maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Foothill Ranch choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Foothill Ranch. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
