Caring for Canines!

Giant or toy, dogs each have their own needs and specific characteristics. I have experience with accommodating for high-need dogs who require medication, to dogs that simply need someone to play with while you're gone. I also am familiar with specific canine diets and scheduling, such as handling raw meat and meal preparation. I treat these animals with respect and understand that some dogs may have more social limits than others. Just like you, I also understand that puppies are unpredictable, and treat them with extra caution. I am familiar with handling potty training mats and knowing what to do when there's just a few accidents.

House Sitting • May 11, 2026

I think Paloma was a trooper in the best way. She accepted a job in a house with an antique grandfather clock that has an audible tick-tock and quarterly chimes and requires manual winding. Our dog, Jet, really likes it because she can hear the progress toward mealtime. I appreciate Paloma stepping out of her comfort zone. I think the experience will broaden her experience and add to her value as a pet sitter. Paloma proactively communicated about issues that came up, largely dealing with the grandfather clock. I appreciate her taking the time to do that.

Dog Walking • Aug 09, 2025

I’ve used Rover for both finding dog walkers and offering walks myself, so I know what’s expected from both sides. This was my first time booking with this walker. At our meet and greet, I explained that my foster dog didn’t necessarily need the full 30 min, but at least 15–20 minutes would be great. On the first day, the total time between pickup and ending the Rover card was 13 minutes. My doorbell camera showed the actual walk was under 9 minutes. This was disappointing, as I’ve never had such a short walk from other Rover walkers in the past. The booking was 3 days. The second day, she was outside with my dog for over 20 minutes, but the Rover card showed 0 distance walked and only one potty break noted. There was also only one photo, taken right outside my door. When I expressed my concern, her response was to check my camera, rather than addressing the walk details, which didn’t inspire much trust. On the third day, the walk was 28 minutes and the Rover card did record distance. I’m not sure about the second day’s accuracy, but I won’t assume. That said, due to the inconsistencies and communication style, I’ve decided not to book with this walker again. Sharing my experience in case it’s helpful for other pet parents when choosing a walker.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I am a full-time student who can work currently, and even more during the summer. I have open availability all week, even for extended vacations.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

I am one for cleanliness. You can rest assured that your house will appear exactly as it did when you leave your pet with me. I also understand that pets need specific forms of supervision and I will cater to whichever amount of attention your pet needs. I'm also not one to be grossed out, so I do not mind tending to sick animals.

A typical day

For a week I have fed 2 dogs as early as 6 am and I am particularly a fan of playing chase with bigger dogs. If a dog is not as high energy I typically respect their space.
