Some are ready to be best friends right away, while others need a little time to warm up. I’m patient and let each pet get comfortable with me at their own pace. * Prioritizing safety: I’m attentive to doors, gates, leashes, food, medications, and anything else that could potentially put your pet at risk. I never want to take unnecessary chances with their safety. * Respecting your home: When caring for your pet in your home, I treat your space with the same care and respect I would my own. I’ll clean up after your pet, keep their things organized, and make sure everything is secure before I leave. * Keeping you informed: Communication is really important to me. In my previous dog-walking and sitting experience, I’ve made a habit of leaving a printed visit summary after each visit. I fill out the appropriate details, including whether your pet ate, potty details, treats given, the duration of the walk, and an overall description of how the visit went. I’m also happy to send photos and updates so you can see your pet while you’re away. Most importantly, I want your pet to feel like they’re spending time with someone who genuinely loves and cares about animals—not simply someone stopping by to check a box. I know how reassuring it is to receive those little updates when you’re away from your pet, and I want to give you that same peace of mind. Your pet’s comfort, happiness, and safety always come first.

About: I have had my maltese, Milky, for fifteen years and unfortunately had to say goodbye to my childhood dog back in 2023. I would love to meet some new dogs and spend more time with some new friends! I have experience working with dogs as I worked at a dog grooming salon. I had always wanted a dog when I was younger and felt a strange connection to dogs, wherever and whenever I saw them. I have also worked with No Stray Left Behind which is an organization that helps adopt abandoned dogs. I’m currently working part-time so have plenty of time to look after or walk your pet! (: My schedule is pretty flexible so it shouldn’t be hard to find availability! I have a fenced backyard that is definitely safer than just letting the dog outside and also live in a cul de sac where I can safely walk the dog if needed!

About: Hi, My name is Lita, I’m new on rover but well experienced in the dog world. I currently own a very special boy Doberman pincher. His name is Griffin and he is 6 1/2 years old. I’ve had him since the age of one. He is a rescue that survived a gunshot went to a shelter then to a foster who couldn’t handle him and back to the shelter. Then to his final destination which was ME! Nowadays, Griffin is thriving, and is known to be the best behaved and well trained dog in the neighborhood, as well as the most loved at the vet. I’ve spent a tremendous amount of time and effort, making sure that Griffin will live up to his potential And become the best possible dog. I also take care of Eros, a European champion line, German Shepherd, who weighs as much as I do if not more. After nearly 5 years of taking care of him, he and his family are like my own. I’ve been around dogs and learned proper care and handling since childhood, as my family used to breed Airedale Terriers and French bulldogs. I live a bi- coastal life (part Southern California part south Florida) which means that if you see my availability open on here, my schedule would be wide open to take care of your dog/s, and I won’t be leaving for extended periods of time to work. I’m happy to take them with me anywhere like parks, hikes, the beach, car rides etc. And will be providing them with all the enrichment and exercise they want and or need :) looking forward to working with you! I have a fitness business in south Florida that I return to but When I’m in California, my schedule is nearly wide open and this dog sitting will take priority. I would be with them as much as needed and can take them with me places. I provide very knowledgeable handling, care, and attention. Dogs THRIVE on structure and I am the best at it. About: My name is Alec, and I do a lot of things, mostly here in South OC :) Many people know me as a local performer and teacher. I have also enjoyed house sitting and pet sitting, for many years. I understand the importance of and have experience with administering medication (such as insulin), giving your pets their normal amount of food and the water of your choice, having litter boxes as fresh as possible when you return home, and giving your fur family as much normalcy as possible while you are away. I also understand the need to feel safe and secure about your home and/or your furry family members, while away. I have lived with and cared for dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, bunnies, and bats (my favorite comic character might have influenced that last bit). As a full time single father of a toddler, I usually have a very flexible schedule, so I'm able to be away from home as needed, and check in on pets if necessary, during the day. My son goes everywhere with me, so I only take on clients with dogs who are safe around small children, and breeds that are not notorious for doing a lot of damage when aggressive, even though I know that some of those breeds, when raised right, can be total sweethearts. I love animals, love people, and love work that involves filling someone's need. Day to day life for me over the years has included a variety of things, all involving people...I was a Swing band leader, Ballroom and Tap dance teacher, actor, massage, concert producer, and I have worked as a naturalist for grammar school field trips at the Donna O'Neill Land Conservancy, and taught children chess through a local after-school program. I have had a live scan/background check, and can provide many client/character references :) As a full-time father of a toddler, my schedule is pretty open and flexible, aside from pet sitting bookings, and occasional teaching of ballroom/social dance in private lessons around OC. I mainly do overnights for clients, providing more attention to your fur family than drop-in visits can offer, and more security for your home. Day visits can be available as needed, for an additional fee. I am generally gone in the daytime, tending to the needs of my toddler and our own pets at home. For overnights, I arrive in the evening, and leave in the morning or early afternoon. I am usually present for 12 hours or more, providing lots of company and attention to your fur family.

About: I am retired as of a few years ago, and we just lost our Bailey girl at 14 years old a few years back. I haven’t adopted a new dog since and instead am taking care of our kids dogs when they go out of town but do miss having a dog around. I’ve cared for about 6 dogs over my lifetime, and would love to care for your pup too. We have a huge yard that is fenced in for them to go out and play and a large neighborhood great for walks. A few of the dogs I have taken care, love to run in our backyard because there is room for them to run. Since I’m retired I have plenty of free time to take care of and play with pups. I love dogs and enjoy interacting with them. I want them to be happy and safe. I have a large, fully fenced in backyard and a separate fenced in side yard both of which can be closed and keep the dog inside. I also welcome any crates if a dog feels more comfortable in a crate at night. If a dog is well behaved at night, they could also bring a bed and sleep next to our bed.
