“Camille was simply amazing with Turbo. She was very knowledgeable about greyhounds and their peculiarities, this was important for us. Camille even scheduled a meetup at our home two days before to meet with Turbo and introduce herself. After meeting with her we felt very comfortable leaving Turbo in her care. During the visit we received pictures and updates throughout her stay. We could tell Turbo was relaxed and loved. Camille will be our first choice the next time we need someone to watch our boy.”

“She is the most caring and sweet person. In addition, the four dogs loved her and felt an immediate bond. Please use Saeedeh without reservation. I’ll definitely be asking her to watch my pups again. Love the videos too!”
“Dawn did such a great job with my two kittens - very attentive, took wonderful care of them, and gave them lots of play time! She even kept my place clean, which is hard to do with kittens playing in cat litter all the time :)”

“I have Ailen scheduled for recurring drop-in visits four days a week while I work 12-hour shifts as a nurse, and I couldn’t be happier. She is incredibly communicative, always punctual, and consistently goes above and beyond. I really appreciate how much time and care she gives my dog, and she even takes a moment to say hi to my cats, which means a lot. She is professional, trustworthy, and truly reliable. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care.”

“Hoai goes above and beyond. Our senior dog was well cared for. She is beyond meticulous, careful and loving. She’s quite the photographer and we loved all the photos and videos. She’s wonderful with communication. Will def use again.”

“Llana is amazing! She has went above and beyond to take care of my precious Labrador puppy when I am away during the day. She gives extra care, attention and always excellent feedback to further his care. Her photos are picture perfect! My puppy loves her and she has helped so much!”

About: My name is Alison, and I've always had a dog by my side. I am a proud dog mom to four dogs -- a husky, a min pin, a german shepard, and a golden retriever -- and I currently work at a doggy day care where dog parents trust me with their furry companions. For the past seven years, I have been working at doggy daycare and boarding facilities. Although I usually summarize my job by saying, "I play with dogs," it does encompass more. With each dog that comes in for either daycare or boarding, I have to familiarize myself with its temperament. This includes knowledge of the breed, past and current medical conditions, and body language. I also have to feed the dogs and administer medications as needed. At this job, I do treat each dog as my own. Here on Rover, I would like to expand my love for dogs and help those who are uncomfortable sending their pups to boarding facility. Thus, I can provide at-home-sitting and dog walking. I do work part time at the moment, so I am available mornings and evenings, but my schedule is very flexible. I look forward to getting to know you and your dogs! I currently work part time, so have plenty of time for your dogs! From Tuesdays-Fridays, I am available early morning until 12, and then any time after 5. On Saturdays-Monday, I am generally available after 5. Working at a boarding facility, I understand how scary it is to leave town and leave your furry companion with someone else. Thus, prior to sitting, I do like to do a meet and greet at your home, just so your pup and I can meet, and I can familiarize myself with the environment. At this time, you can give my any instructions needed to make you feel comfortable leaving your pup with me. When you are away, I am free in the mornings to mid-afternoon, and then any time after 5. I am willing to stay at the house overnight if needed.
About: I have taken care of my animals my entire life. I have owned horses, dogs, cats, reptiles, rabbits, and fish. I have experience for caring for high needs senior dogs that require medication. I am happy to stay overnight to watch your pets or do drop in visits during the day. I am a masters student in Forensic Psychology and am taking flexible online classes. I am available during the week and weekends. I am very flexible! I am happy to come to your home and stay overnight or come for daily visits to check on your pet and ensure their needs are met.
“Thank you for always making me feel so comfortable that Jax is taken care of no matter if it’s a check-in or a long trip. Thank you for always meeting him where he is where he wants to be playful that day or whether he’s made a mess in front of his box. I appreciate it all.”

“Laura was great with our older Golden and was able to provide the extra care and meds he needed. We asked her to drop in and walk him as he was staying with my mother who was unable to do it. Laura was willing to help in any way she could during her 30 min drop in and was extremely helpful and flexible.”

“Nikki has helped us multiple times now, and every single experience has been exceptional. She takes such loving, attentive care of our cat that he is genuinely happy and relaxed when we return. This time we were away for a full month, and it was obvious that he was truly adored and spoiled with fun and special treats 🐱💛 It gives us complete peace of mind knowing Nikki is with him. She is reliable, thoughtful, and clearly does this from the heart. We feel incredibly lucky to have found her and would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for truly excellent pet care. ✨”

“David was an excellent care giver for our dog while we were away. He was on time, thorough, trustworthy, a great communicator and most of all, very attentive to our lively Boxer.”

“Olivia saved us when we had another pet sitter cancel on us, mid-booking! She was flexible and was ok with me walking her through everything over the phone since we had already left town. She is very responsible and a great communicator, sending us lots of photos and updating us on how our pets were doing. She took excellent care of our pets and home, and we look forward to booking her for more pet care in the future!”
“Caroline showed up on time and was very attentive to my 3 cats needs. She even came over and met them prior to her visits. Best of all my cats love her and we’re out for pets even though they are very shy and skittish. She is definitely great with pets.”

“Super sweet! U can tell she has great love for our four legged babies. Sadly Anabel did not warm up to her but isiaahs will be getting a therapy dog. And would love to have her help sit then. She's super communicative which I appreciated and helped keep isiaahs at ease”

About: Hi there! I have had years of experience with pets, as an owner and a foster mom for my local animal shelter. Personally, I have had 16 hamsters, 12 exotic fish, 7 turtles, 7 frogs, 5 Guinea pigs, 4 chicks, 4 cats and 1 bunny. I have pet-sat many animals before such as dogs, cats, rabbits and Guinea pigs, and I love animals with all my heart. I am very commasionate, hard worker and easy to communicate with. I currently work from home so I have a flexible schedule that can accommodate to your needs. I enjoy making animals apart of my daily routine! I have a cat that is strictly indoors with safety netting on the window. Depending on the animal, size, etc I will draw certain boundaries in order to keep the animal safe (ie closing doors quickly to ensure cats don’t escape)

We've trusted Nikki with our cat several times and she is always wonderful. She takes great care of him and sends the most amazing photos and videos, which make being away so much easier. We always come home to a happy, well-cared-for kitty and feel very lucky to have found her.

Thanks to Laurie we have had another successful trip without worrying about our cat. Laurie is the best! We can always count on her to make sure Benny gets his treat each visit and has his food, water, and litter refilled. He also gets play time with Laurie each day. We also appreciate all the updates and photos Laurie sends us. Thank you Laurie! :)

I have used Lana to take care of my beloved dog skipper. I would highly recommend her as she is hands-down. The best person you will ever find to take care of your pets. She is unsurpassed in her attention to detail and this is not a job for her. It's her passion if you are in the Laguna Hills area and need someone to take care of your pet. She is the one sincerely Larry Pagliarulo.
Anu checked in on my dog multiple times for a few days. She was so sweet to him and made sure he had everything he needed. Her updates to me were detailed with a lot of great photos that ensured me my dog was in great hands! Will definitely be booking with her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
