About: My name is Alison, and I've always had a dog by my side. I am a proud dog mom to four dogs -- a husky, a min pin, a german shepard, and a golden retriever -- and I currently work at a doggy day care where dog parents trust me with their furry companions. For the past seven years, I have been working at doggy daycare and boarding facilities. Although I usually summarize my job by saying, "I play with dogs," it does encompass more. With each dog that comes in for either daycare or boarding, I have to familiarize myself with its temperament. This includes knowledge of the breed, past and current medical conditions, and body language. I also have to feed the dogs and administer medications as needed. At this job, I do treat each dog as my own. Here on Rover, I would like to expand my love for dogs and help those who are uncomfortable sending their pups to boarding facility. Thus, I can provide at-home-sitting and dog walking. I do work part time at the moment, so I am available mornings and evenings, but my schedule is very flexible. I look forward to getting to know you and your dogs! I currently work part time, so have plenty of time for your dogs! From Tuesdays-Fridays, I am available early morning until 12, and then any time after 5. On Saturdays-Monday, I am generally available after 5. Working at a boarding facility, I understand how scary it is to leave town and leave your furry companion with someone else. Thus, prior to sitting, I do like to do a meet and greet at your home, just so your pup and I can meet, and I can familiarize myself with the environment. At this time, you can give my any instructions needed to make you feel comfortable leaving your pup with me. When you are away, I am free in the mornings to mid-afternoon, and then any time after 5. I am willing to stay at the house overnight if needed.
“Dawn is truly an angel. I cannot express how grateful I am for her care and support during an urgent medical emergency with my dog while I was out of town. She acted quickly, communicated clearly every step of the way, and went above and beyond to make sure my dog was safe, cared for, and seen by her vet promptly. She was incredibly attentive, compassionate, and calm under pressure — exactly the kind of person you hope to have supporting your pet in a stressful situation. Dawn didn’t hesitate to step in, rearrange her schedule, help with cleanup, and advocate for my dog’s well-being as if she were her own. I trust her completely and am deeply thankful for everything she did. I highly, highly recommend Dawn to anyone looking for someone who is reliable, caring, and truly invested in the animals she looks after.”

About: Hi! I'm Debbie, and caring for animals has been my passion for most of my life. I began volunteering at a veterinary hospital as a teenager and was hired at just 16 years old. I pursued veterinary technology, passed the California Registered Veterinary Technician state board examination in 2011, and have spent nearly two decades working in small animal veterinary medicine. While I no longer maintain an active RVT license, I continue working in the veterinary field and use the knowledge and experience I've gained over the years every day. My background includes caring for puppies and kittens, healthy adult pets, senior pets, and animals with chronic medical conditions. I'm experienced with administering oral medications, eye and ear medications, injections, sub-q fluids, topical treatments, and providing attentive care to pets that need a little extra support. Animals have always been a huge part of my life beyond my career. I'm a proud Mom, wife, dog owner and chicken keeper, and I also have experience caring for parrots and other companion birds. I enjoy grooming my own dogs and have experience with routine grooming, including bathing, brushing, nail trims, and styling. In addition to companion animals, I'm comfortable caring for backyard flocks and many ranch and farm animals, understanding that each species has its own unique routines and needs. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to know your animals are safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. I strive to keep pets comfortable, maintain their routines, and provide plenty of love, playtime, and companionship. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your furry (and feathered!) family members are in caring, experienced hands. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, medication, companionship, or care for your backyard flock or small farm, I'd be honored to care for them as if they were my own. Between being a Mom to older children/wife/part-time vet tech, my schedule allows me to fit in jobs to care for other's pets while they are going out of town for the day or longer. I will honor and follow your instructions to care for your pets as you wish. I also am big on sending pics via text with pupdates and for you to see that all is well.
“Llana is amazing! She has went above and beyond to take care of my precious Labrador puppy when I am away during the day. She gives extra care, attention and always excellent feedback to further his care. Her photos are picture perfect! My puppy loves her and she has helped so much!”

About: I grew up in a household with multiple dogs, and love caring for all animals! I make sure to pay attention to the animals needs and can do everything from walk, bathe, feed, play with, and more! I have experience with senior dogs as well as dealing with multiple puppies at once. I am currently a student athlete at Gonzaga University and I'm looking for some work that fits with my busy schedule. As long as I can schedule any pet needs a day or so in advance I can be available to help out in any way needed! I grew up taking my dogs on daily walks, feeding them twice a day, taking them out to use the bathroom several times a day, and of course playing with them whenever they get the zoomies. I am very observant when it comes to animals and have a pretty good eye for knowing what they need and when they need it.

“We felt at ease with Caroline looking in on our sweet boy Ringo. She cleaned the litter box and made sure to offer him water and pets. Would definitely use her services again.”

“Thank you for always making me feel so comfortable that Jax is taken care of no matter if it’s a check-in or a long trip. Thank you for always meeting him where he is where he wants to be playful that day or whether he’s made a mess in front of his box. I appreciate it all.”

“Daly was incredible. My family and I were out of country for 2 weeks on vacation. We had never left our dog with anyone before and we were very nervous about it. Daly is very sweet and confident around us and our dog. Our dog was 1year and very high energy at times, but Daly was un-phased by the challenge. She has a lot of experience around animals and it shows. Being on complete opposite times zones was challenging, but Daly sent video, photos, updates and questions along the way to make sure we were informed about our dog everyday. It was absolutely perfect. I have no concerns about recommending her to friends and family and she will definitely be our dog’s go-to caregiver in the future!”

“Ailen was a wonderful pet sitter for our cat and 2 dogs! She was able to watch our pets for a week on short notice and was extremely thorough with her care for them. She is an exceptional communicator, and kept us up-to-date on all things happening while we were away.”

“Camille did an excellent job taking care of our Bella! This morning our neighbors stopped by to tell us how they saw her during her walks & they could see how much she bonded with Bella. We highly, highly, highly recommend her!”

“Rose is amazing! She did everything I asked and more! She dropped in on our pets while we were away and made sure to send us lots of photos and even brought our packages in for us as well! Rose is very trustworthy and responsible, she’s also a great communicator and so sweet with our pets! We will definitely hire her for all animal care in the future! 🎊”

Riley was a huge help. She was very responsive and was able to watch our pups last minute. Our pups were treated so well. She checked in with us periodically and made sure they were taken care of through all the check ins. Highly recommend, will definitely rebook!

Dawn is absolutely incredible. She was able to hunt down our very tricky cat and successfully give her the medication she needs. Pet sitters we've used in the past we're not able to do this. She let us know about a leaking pipe outside and was there to troubleshoot. We can't imagine traveling without her.

David is a patient, kind, and lovely human. He has been working with our protective and reactive dog, Momo, for a few months, and after being rejected by more than one doggy hotel and more than one dog sitter, we are so so happy to see Momo’s progress with David. Momo had her first successful, stress-free weekend by herself with David dropping in and taking her on walks. We are so thrilled and thankful to David for staying patient with Momo’s sass-itude and having his help has improved Momo’s life and our lives significantly! 🩷

Ailen was a wonderful pet sitter for our cat and 2 dogs! She was able to watch our pets for a week on short notice and was extremely thorough with her care for them. She is an exceptional communicator, and kept us up-to-date on all things happening while we were away.

Daley is an amazing dog walker and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for services in or around South Orange County. She is very attentive, punctual, and communicative! She gave me updates on how my pup was doing on her walks and gave recommendations for care. She is very knowledgeable from her experience at a vet! 10/10!
Parnian was absolutely amazing with Leyli! From the second Leyli saw her, she immediately loved her and felt comfortable around her, which made me feel so much better about being away. Parnian took such great care of her and gave her lots of attention, playtime, cuddles, and love. She was very caring, responsible, and kept me updated with photos and videos, which I really appreciated. It was clear that Leyli was happy and comfortable with her the entire time. I’m so grateful to have found someone I can trust with Leyli, and I would absolutely book with Parnian again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind and trustworthy cat sitter! ❤️🐱

Yeji is a compassionate care giver, knowledgeable when it comes to working with cats and highly professional. She is responsive, a great communicator, and our cat loved her. She completed 2 drop in visits per day while we were away and provided updates about each visit. I would recommend her to anyone who needs help with their pet and look forward to working with her again. Thank you Yeji!

I completely trust Radhika with my cats and feel in peace when she watches them. She is very good with them, even with the territorial, feisty one. She follows all the instructions and goes above and beyond every time. I appreciate her a lot and cannot recommend her enough!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
