Crazy Dog Mom
My name is Alison, and I've always had a dog by my side. I am a proud dog mom to four dogs -- a husky, a min pin, a german shepard, and a golden retriever -- and I currently work at a doggy day care where dog parents trust me with their furry companions. For the past seven years, I have been working at doggy daycare and boarding facilities. Although I usually summarize my job by saying, "I play with dogs," it does encompass more. With each dog that comes in for either daycare or boarding, I have to familiarize myself with its temperament. This includes knowledge of the breed, past and current medical conditions, and body language. I also have to feed the dogs and administer medications as needed. At this job, I do treat each dog as my own. Here on Rover, I would like to expand my love for dogs and help those who are uncomfortable sending their pups to boarding facility. Thus, I can provide at-home-sitting and dog walking. I do work part time at the moment, so I am available mornings and evenings, but my schedule is very flexible. I look forward to getting to know you and your dogs!

Working at a boarding facility, I understand how scary it is to leave town and leave your furry companion with someone else. Thus, prior to sitting, I do like to do a meet and greet at your home, just so your pup and I can meet, and I can familiarize myself with the environment. At this time, you can give my any instructions needed to make you feel comfortable leaving your pup with me. When you are away, I am free in the mornings to mid-afternoon, and then any time after 5. I am willing to stay at the house overnight if needed.

Alison was wonderful with our two dogs while we were away at my daughters wedding. She sent photo updates and cute notes, which gave us total peace of mind. Our pups were happy, calm, and well-cared for when we got back. We will definitely book with her again!
We are so thankful to Alison for her great care of our house and two Pomeranians for our short trip recently. From our first meet and greet we felt very comfortable with her friendly personality but also how she seriously and attentively listened to all our dog details. This was my first time using a rover sitter after my mom decided to retire from watching her grandpups. I was a little nervous to meet someone new, but Alison was so experienced and great, I immediately felt at ease. Durring her stay she was very responsive, and we always felt kept in the loop on how everyone was doing. There were no issues with our boy who takes meds twice a day and she was an expert with our silly ball-obsessed second pup! Our house was immaculate when we returned! We felt great knowing Alison was with our boys and would definitely be interested in hiring her again! Thank you so much Alison!!! 10/10!
I had such a wonderful experience with Alison! She took amazing care of Sherlock, especially when he got sick 1 day before me and my family went away. Alison incredibly kind and attentive, made sure he received all his medications, took him on walks, played with him, and gave him lots of love and attention. What we appreciated most was how Alison was able to adjust the time for the first day. She consistently kept us updated about his daily activities and how he was doing. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. She was also very clean, responsible, and respectful of our home. Off course I recommend Alison if you need someone to take care of your furry family member. Highly recommended! ❤️🐶

I highly recommend Alison to care for a family's pets. My wife, children and I were taking a vacation, and we were very concerned about entrusting our pet's safety and care with a stranger. A couple of weeks prior to our departure, we met with Alison for the first time. I immediately felt that Alison would provide great care for our three dogs who range from 35 lbs. to a 115 lbs. German Shepherd. A few days prior to our departure, Alison contacted us to confirm our departure time. On the morning of our departure, Alison arrived at our home promptly and we reviewed the dog's care and feeding schedule. Our departure went very smoothly. During our trip, Alison sent us daily texts, pictures and videos of our happy, well cared for dogs confirming Alison's great care for our dog's and our home. I strongly recommend Alison to care for your pets and your home.

Schedule
I currently work part time, so have plenty of time for your dogs! From Tuesdays-Fridays, I am available early morning until 12, and then any time after 5. On Saturdays-Monday, I am generally available after 5.

- Prior to watching your dog, I do like to know their routine ahead of time, so I can try to adhere to that as best as possible. This includes feeding times, potty times, walks, and bedtime. I also like to know of any medical conditions, including allergies, and medications if required. Lastly, any restrictions your dog may have is also helpful to have ahead of time.
