My name is Alison, and I've always had a dog by my side. I am a proud dog mom to four dogs -- a husky, a min pin, a german shepard, and a golden retriever -- and I currently work at a doggy day care where dog parents trust me with their furry companions. For the past seven years, I have been working at doggy daycare and boarding facilities. Although I usually summarize my job by saying, "I play with dogs," it does encompass more. With each dog that comes in for either daycare or boarding, I have to familiarize myself with its temperament. This includes knowledge of the breed, past and current medical conditions, and body language. I also have to feed the dogs and administer medications as needed. At this job, I do treat each dog as my own. Here on Rover, I would like to expand my love for dogs and help those who are uncomfortable sending their pups to boarding facility. Thus, I can provide at-home-sitting and dog walking. I do work part time at the moment, so I am available mornings and evenings, but my schedule is very flexible.
