About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have years of experience caring for them through dog sitting, house sitting, and pet sitting. I personally raised and trained one of my dogs from puppyhood—teaching crate training, potty training, and fun tricks—so I understand the patience and consistency pets need. I’m a reliable, respectful sitter who treats every home and pet as if they were my own, making sure your furry family members feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I’m quite flexible with my schedule, and this role is currently my main work priority. Because of that, I’m able to plan my days around each pet’s needs and routine. My goal is always to provide consistent care, attention, and genuine love to every pet I care for. At my home, your pup will enjoy a safe, fenced yard and the company of my two friendly dogs for plenty of playtime and socialization. I can also care for pets in your home if that’s what makes them most comfortable. Whether it’s walks, boarding, overnight stays, or crate care, I’m happy to help with whatever your dog needs—no task is too small or too big. My goal is always to make your pet feel loved, secure, and right at home!

I can’t say enough great things about David! He is patient, reliable, kind, and truly goes above and beyond. Our foster dog Lady is a very large, hyper terrier mix with little structure or social skills, and she can be overwhelming for most people. David has never been intimidated by her and always shows up with a smile, ready to give her the best care. Lady absolutely adores him — even when she gets overly excited and jumps all over him, he handles it like a total pro. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing my pets are in such loving, capable hands. We will absolutely continue using David for Lady and any future foster dogs!

About: Hi! I'm Debbie, and caring for animals has been my passion for most of my life. I began volunteering at a veterinary hospital as a teenager and was hired at just 16 years old. I pursued veterinary technology, passed the California Registered Veterinary Technician state board examination in 2011, and have spent nearly two decades working in small animal veterinary medicine. While I no longer maintain an active RVT license, I continue working in the veterinary field and use the knowledge and experience I've gained over the years every day. My background includes caring for puppies and kittens, healthy adult pets, senior pets, and animals with chronic medical conditions. I'm experienced with administering oral medications, eye and ear medications, injections, sub-q fluids, topical treatments, and providing attentive care to pets that need a little extra support. Animals have always been a huge part of my life beyond my career. I'm a proud Mom, wife, dog owner and chicken keeper, and I also have experience caring for parrots and other companion birds. I enjoy grooming my own dogs and have experience with routine grooming, including bathing, brushing, nail trims, and styling. In addition to companion animals, I'm comfortable caring for backyard flocks and many ranch and farm animals, understanding that each species has its own unique routines and needs. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to know your animals are safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. I strive to keep pets comfortable, maintain their routines, and provide plenty of love, playtime, and companionship. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your furry (and feathered!) family members are in caring, experienced hands. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, medication, companionship, or care for your backyard flock or small farm, I'd be honored to care for them as if they were my own. Between being a Mom to older children/wife/part-time vet tech, my schedule allows me to fit in jobs to care for other's pets while they are going out of town for the day or longer. I will honor and follow your instructions to care for your pets as you wish. I also am big on sending pics via text with pupdates and for you to see that all is well.

About: 🐾 About My Pet Care 🐾 I’ve been working with pets for over 20 years!🐶❤️ What started as dog walking for my neighbors has grown into a loving in-home daycare and pet-care service. 🐾 Puppies are my specialty! I have extensive experience caring for dogs under 2 years old, and for the past 2 years I’ve especially enjoyed working with puppies as young as 8–12 weeks old. I understand how important it is for young pups to have a safe, fun, and nurturing environment while they learn and grow. 🥰 🌿 Our guests love playing and getting their energy out in our spacious backyard with REAL grass! We also have a park right in front of our home, which makes it easy for the dogs to enjoy walks and outdoor time. 🐕🌳 🏠 I’m fully equipped with everything your pup may need, including crates and playpens in all sizes for younger dogs who need a little extra structure or a cozy place to relax. 🏃‍♀️ For those energetic pups who need to burn off some extra energy, I also offer running sessions!💨🐕 Your dog will come home happy, tired, and ready for a good nap. 😴❤️ 🚗 I’m also very accommodating and can **pick up or drop off your pet at your home** when needed. Your pets are treated like family here, with plenty of **love, attention, playtime, exercise, and care\.** 🐾💕 I’d love the opportunity to take care of your furry family member\! Im a stay at home mom so I spend my days in the house. I can accommodate my schedule to pets needs. I’m available every day of the week or weekend I have a big fenced yard with real grass. A spacious patio. A nice big park in front of our home. Also if your pet needs a crate no need to bring one we have different size crates to accommodate your pets needs.

About: Hi, I’m Samantha—your pet’s new favorite human. My friends voted me “Most Likely to Come Home from a Girls Weekend with a Dog,” and I wear that title proudly. I’ve been caring for animals my whole life—from horses and dogs on my grandparents’ farm to fostering pets and building cat walls in my spare time. I speak fluent cat and dog (yes, I understand the slow blink and the “where are you?” meow). I’m upbeat, funny, and dependable—and I’ll treat your fur-kids like family. When Auntie Samantha visits, pets get greeted first. It’s not personal—it’s priorities. I aim to build respectful, lasting partnerships with pet parents, and I’ll keep you updated with pics and notes so you always know your pet is safe, loved, and maybe a little spoiled. Since I work from home and for myself, my work schedule is very flexible. I enjoy helping others care for their four legged kids, since I remember never having enough time when I was younger. Our fur kids are very used to new siblings coming in the home. We have been fostering for PACT FOR ANIMALS for years. They provide foster homes for military personnel.

I would gladly recommend Kayla to anyone needing dog walking/pet sitting services,. My dog Jack can be a bit stubborn and grumpy (he is a terrier), but Kayla, with the help of a few treats, won him over. She is dependable, friendly and loves dogs. I was nervous, trying to find a new dog walker. You just hope you pick the right person. Kayla was the right pick. Will definitely use her services again.

About: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with German Shepherds, a Cocker Spaniel, and a mixed-breed dog. Later, when I started my own family, we welcomed Fiera, our Labrador Retriever. She grew up alongside my children—they were like siblings and partners in crime. If you’ve ever had a Lab, you know exactly what I mean. 😁 When Fiera was about five years old, Glitch, our little Shihpoo, joined the family. Fiera crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 13, and we still miss her every day. 💗 Making your pup feel safe and cared for is my priority. If your dog isn’t acting like themselves, isn’t eating normally, or just seems “off,” I’ll notice and I’ll let you know. I’m comfortable following detailed instructions, whether it’s feeding routines, walks, medications, or special care. I have experience giving oral medications, eye and ear medications, topical treatments, and subcutaneous injections when prescribed by a veterinarian. When I’m caring for your dog, I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages. While you’re away, I’m also happy to bring in mail and packages, water indoor or outdoor plants, rotate lights if requested, and help keep your home looking lived-in. Just let me know what you need, and I’ll do my best to help. 🐾 Health & Safety For the health and safety of all pets in my home, all dogs staying with me must be current on veterinarian-recommended vaccinations and on an active flea and tick prevention program. I understand that some dogs may be unable to receive certain vaccines or use standard flea/tick preventatives for medical reasons. If your dog has a documented medical restriction, please let me know before booking so we can discuss your veterinarian’s recommendations and determine whether I can safely accommodate your pet. All boarding guests must arrive flea- and tick-free. If fleas or ticks are discovered during your dog’s stay, I will contact you before administering any treatment. The pet parent will be responsible for the cost of any approved treatment, as well as a $100 flea cleaning fee to cover the additional cleaning and sanitizing required in my home. Any extraordinary professional pest-control expenses resulting from an active infestation may also be the pet parent’s responsibility. Please also let me know in advance about any medical conditions, medication sensitivities, vaccine reactions, allergies, or other important health information. ❤️ I’m currently completing professional training from home, so I spend most of my day at home. This allows me to provide consistent supervision, frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of companionship for the pets in my care. Our home is shared with our small dog, Glitch, and our indoor cat, Vinnie. Both are important members of our family. Glitch enjoys having canine visitors, and he has always done well with dogs in our home. To keep everyone safe and comfortable, I carefully introduce dogs and only accept dogs that are friendly with cats. We have a fully fenced yard. I’m happy to accommodate your dog’s normal routine, including using a crate if they’re already crate trained and comfortable with it.

I’ve been in an animal hospital for over 10 years I work full time with a toddler but looking to fill some days on the side to help a family take care of there pets I take care of them as if they are my own. Respect everyone how they should be treated with love and compassion. I am loyal I work full time in the veterinary field but need some extra pay to help pay for childcare have experience with all dogs and cats Since i have a dog that’s picky with other dogs i would prefer to sit in your home unless my dog was comfortable with it she has stayed before at my parents house with their dogs I have an open work schedule, therefore daily visits and weekend visits are what I offer! I can do overnight visits if necessary, if your animal requires someone to stay at night. I currently can’t take pets in my own home. I can stay overnight in your home if needed. This will include play time and giving them all the extra love while you are away! Walk, feed, sleep repeat .she loves walks and sniffing everything. Saeedeh (Lili) is amazing with Jasmine! Lili loves her as if she was her own dog, and Jasmine gets so excited when she sees her. I especially appreciate Lili’s rapid and consistent communication to make plans as well as sending all the videos and pictures. It makes me feel better when I am traveling or out of town knowing that Lili is watching Jazmine and that she is being well cared for. That peace of mind is priceless.

There are not enough stars for this review!! Daniel is awesome!! I was in a pinch to find the right person to care for our 9mo old Malinois/Doberman pup Jager. I was already very encouraged by Daniel’s background. This was a very last minute same day request, I reached out very early in the morning and heard back right away from Daniel. Not only available but made time for a meet and greet within the hour before caring for our pup in the afternoon. Prior to his arrival my pup was 82lbs of full throttle puppy energy. Upon arrival Jager was still amped, I thought for sure this sitter is going run for the hills. Nope, Daniel was so calming and knew how to handle my rowdy Jager’s greeting. Was so reassuring and I felt confident seeing how he helped de-escalate Jager that he would do great. Daniel arrived right on time handled Jager right away and no issues with Mom and Dad departing. While out Jager had a blast with Daniel. Not only did Daniel walk and play with Jager he sent pictures of their adventures Jager was so happy!! We came home to a calm relaxed Jager. When Daniel left Jager had to see his new friend off, he only does this with family members, welcome to our pack Daniel!! I’m so happy we found you!! Jager can’t wait to play again!!

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mission Viejo. On Rover:

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
