About: I have cared for many pets over the last 8+ years. I have been working at a local dog daycare for a year and a half. At the daycare, I work specifically with shy/senior dogs, and am passionate about making sure they get extra love. I love walking dogs, playing fetch with them, and especially cuddling with them. I am a grad student currently on summer break. I have an internship that I attend a couple of days a week, but am overall flexible schedule-wise. I have a fenced in yard with lots of grass/space for dogs to run around, play in the sprinklers (if they like water, of course), and lay in the sun. I love wrapping pups up in comfy blankets for bedtime.
“Llana goes above and beyond to care for Red amd RJ! I always know that they are under excellent care when she visits. She obviously loves her clients (pups) with all her heart!”

“Laura took good care of our Coco while we were away for a week - walked and played with her, gave her food and medicine, also willing to get our mail and kept us up to date. Felt like our girl was in good hands!!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have years of experience caring for them through dog sitting, house sitting, and pet sitting. I personally raised and trained one of my dogs from puppyhood—teaching crate training, potty training, and fun tricks—so I understand the patience and consistency pets need. I’m a reliable, respectful sitter who treats every home and pet as if they were my own, making sure your furry family members feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I’m quite flexible with my schedule, and this role is currently my main work priority. Because of that, I’m able to plan my days around each pet’s needs and routine. My goal is always to provide consistent care, attention, and genuine love to every pet I care for. At my home, your pup will enjoy a safe, fenced yard and the company of my two friendly dogs for plenty of playtime and socialization. I can also care for pets in your home if that’s what makes them most comfortable. Whether it’s walks, boarding, overnight stays, or crate care, I’m happy to help with whatever your dog needs—no task is too small or too big. My goal is always to make your pet feel loved, secure, and right at home!
“Zoe is very punctual, communicates very well, flexible if I need to change the dates and/or times. Mostly, I love how she is with my dog! Obi loves Zoe! He is excited waiting by the door watching for her!”

About: My mom raised me from the beginning about being gentle and empathetic towards animals. She showed me how to care for all types of animals and give them the very best lives we could. I’ve cared and pet sat since i was 12. I got my first full pet sitting gig in my neighborhood for a whole week. Ever since then, I have loved caring for animals and am extremely passionate about giving them the upmost care they deserve. Because they’re family too! I have three cats and a dog myself so I can relate to you on a relatable level! I currently don’t have a day job as I have a chronic illness, and taking care of animals is exactly what i love doing. looking to be around animals and help people who need animal care is my goal. So I have a lot of time on my hands to take care of pets all over the oc area. My schedule is very open and accommodating to all in need of care. Pet care is extremely important to me, I love to take my own dog to the park and let him run and run and run. My cats I actively brush them, clean their ears, litter, etc. I own a double coated dog so I often spend time brushing him in the backyard and tossing a ball back and forth.

“Gayl was very friendly, very easy to work with. She showed up on time and was very communicative in letting us know what had transpired after each walk or visit. I would recommend Gayl to take care of your furry family member.”

About: Hi, I’m Samantha—your pet’s new favorite human. My friends voted me “Most Likely to Come Home from a Girls Weekend with a Dog,” and I wear that title proudly. I’ve been caring for animals my whole life—from horses and dogs on my grandparents’ farm to fostering pets and building cat walls in my spare time. I speak fluent cat and dog (yes, I understand the slow blink and the “where are you?” meow). I’m upbeat, funny, and dependable—and I’ll treat your fur-kids like family. When Auntie Samantha visits, pets get greeted first. It’s not personal—it’s priorities. I aim to build respectful, lasting partnerships with pet parents, and I’ll keep you updated with pics and notes so you always know your pet is safe, loved, and maybe a little spoiled. Since I work from home and for myself, my work schedule is very flexible. I enjoy helping others care for their four legged kids, since I remember never having enough time when I was younger. Our fur kids are very used to new siblings coming in the home. We have been fostering for PACT FOR ANIMALS for years. They provide foster homes for military personnel.

Whether your pup needs exercise, structure, or just a little extra love, I treat every dog as if they were my own—reliable, attentive, and always with their safety and happiness as my top priority. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Mission Viejo
Chris has been amazing! We have a strong high energy Belgian Malinois who we needed an experienced walker to exercise. Chris was able to take immediate control over him and does a great job tiring him out. He takes Cono’s experience seriously, provides feedback and recommendations and most importantly Cono loves going with him. We are so thankful to have found Chris!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
