“Daniel has been a great dog walker for us with Stormy. She is worn out afterwards so we really appreciate the hard work!! Would definitely use him again for our fur babies.”

“I am so grateful for Taylor! This was my first time booking with Rover so I was a bit nervous. However, her quick response and communication provided ease for me. She was AMAZING with my Dash and he loved her!!! Her care, thoughtfulness, attention to my instructions/details, and love for my Dash…Makes me giver her a 10 out 10!!! I definitely recommend her and will be booking her again in the future. Thank You Rover!!!”

“Julia helped us on a last minute request to walk and feed our dog. She was so sweet with him and my dog immediately took to her kind nature. She was very communicative and took great pics. My dog was belly up loving all the attention. I would definitely recommend Julia and will be requesting her help again.”

About: I've taken care of my friends' dogs for years and adopted my own puppy 3 years ago! I've learned a lot about dog training the past few years, including loose leash walking, clicker training, working on reactivity, recall training, and getting through the puppy and teenage phase! I am familiar with positive reinforcement training and balanced training and can help keep up any training you have been working on with your dog while I take care of them! I'm familiar with various collars - regular, prong, slip, gentle leaders, and harnesses. I'm currently taking a work hiatus from being a pharmacist! So I have flexible scheduling during the day & evenings to help take care of your pup! I'm typically at the ceramics studio on Fridays, but if you let me know 2 weeks in advance of the Friday you need me, I can make arrangements. I am here to help your pets feel as safe and happy as they can while you're away. Just let me know their normal routine (no matter how detailed) and I'm happy to keep it the same for them! I can help administer medications if needed, and can put together multi-step meals with toppers as well!
“Sydnie is amazing—caring, attentive and excellent at communicating. Our dog eagerly waits by the door for her and she’s truly the highlight of his day (along with the post-walk treats, of course!)”

About: I just graduated college with a degree in Animal Science! I worked as a veterinary assistant for 2.5 years and have lots of experience caring for all types of pets. I have experience with puppies and seniors, as well as dogs and cats with special medications/diets and behavioral issues. I can cater to any special requests you have and will give them all the pets and attention they want :) I have grown up with dogs my entire life and still have three at home, so I know how to incorporate caring for your pup into my daily routine! I can schedule my day around them or possibly bring them along with me throughout my day. When caring for your dog in your home, I will treat your home with respect and care. I will keep your house tidy and clean the backyard when necessary.
“Isabelle is fantastic! She’s always punctual, polite and our dog, Lady Belle, absolutely adores her. Isabelle goes above and beyond for our pup. I highly recommend her services!”

“I would highly recommend Joseph. He’s a natural with our babies and his calm demeanor is helpful for them because our little bulldog can get feisty with other dogs while on leash. Physical strength was a big deal for us as we have a 60-lb Pit/Staffy mix, and a mini (40lb) bulldog & he walks them at the same time, with ease. We’re grateful we found Joseph!”

“Chris did an amazing job walking Bella. He was very thorough, paid great attention to detail, and was extremely professional. It’s clear he’s very knowledgeable about dogs and genuinely loves what he does. Bella came back happy and relaxed. I would absolutely recommend Chris to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker.”

About: I have been surrounded by dogs of all ages my whole life, and have extensive experience in plenty of different scenarios. I helped train my dog when she was a puppy, I’m responsible for bathing her, feeding her, picking up her poop, walking her, and more - all the responsibilities of owning a pet. I am also the go-to dog sitter for my friends, family, and colleagues, as I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and do a great job at it. I have experience dog sitting for senior dogs, dogs with special accommodations, dogs who need medication, puppies, hyperactive dogs, standoffish dogs, pretty much every dog under the sun. I have no problems with any situation and can handle anything thrown my way! I have a very flexible part-time job where I can pick my hours, so pet care fits anywhere into my weekly routine where I may choose it. I tend to go above and beyond when pet sitting in the sense that I spend most of my time with the animals, so complete attention and pet care won’t be a problem. I could only care for pets in the client’s home, as my own dog stays at my house and is a solo act, but in a client’s home I would care for pets as if they were my own. I would expect to have access to resources I’d need to properly care for the pets, but I could also bring anything of my own if needed. I am determined to create and maintain a comfortable, safe, and loving environment for any pets that I’d be lucky enough to watch over.
“I can’t say enough great things about David! He is patient, reliable, kind, and truly goes above and beyond. Our foster dog Lady is a very large, hyper terrier mix with little structure or social skills, and she can be overwhelming for most people. David has never been intimidated by her and always shows up with a smile, ready to give her the best care. Lady absolutely adores him — even when she gets overly excited and jumps all over him, he handles it like a total pro. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing my pets are in such loving, capable hands. We will absolutely continue using David for Lady and any future foster dogs!”

“So grateful for Caroline! We had a last minute out of town thing for the day and she was able to come care for our boys. I know they had a great time with her, especially from the pics :)”

“Kyle has been walking my dog Shadow while I’m away on weekend trips for over a year now. He is amazing! He goes over and above caring for her and I’m very grateful for him. Highly recommend, Kyle! :)”

Saeedeh (Lili) is amazing with Jasmine! Lili loves her as if she was her own dog, and Jasmine gets so excited when she sees her. I especially appreciate Lili’s rapid and consistent communication to make plans as well as sending all the videos and pictures. It makes me feel better when I am traveling or out of town knowing that Lili is watching Jazmine and that she is being well cared for. That peace of mind is priceless.

There are not enough stars for this review!! Daniel is awesome!! I was in a pinch to find the right person to care for our 9mo old Malinois/Doberman pup Jager. I was already very encouraged by Daniel’s background. This was a very last minute same day request, I reached out very early in the morning and heard back right away from Daniel. Not only available but made time for a meet and greet within the hour before caring for our pup in the afternoon. Prior to his arrival my pup was 82lbs of full throttle puppy energy. Upon arrival Jager was still amped, I thought for sure this sitter is going run for the hills. Nope, Daniel was so calming and knew how to handle my rowdy Jager’s greeting. Was so reassuring and I felt confident seeing how he helped de-escalate Jager that he would do great. Daniel arrived right on time handled Jager right away and no issues with Mom and Dad departing. While out Jager had a blast with Daniel. Not only did Daniel walk and play with Jager he sent pictures of their adventures Jager was so happy!! We came home to a calm relaxed Jager. When Daniel left Jager had to see his new friend off, he only does this with family members, welcome to our pack Daniel!! I’m so happy we found you!! Jager can’t wait to play again!!

Sydnie and Jake are the best! I feel like they are both great with dogs and so kind and considerate. It makes me feel great that she’s a nurse and not only gets my lifestyle (night shift) but is trustworthy. I love the little paragraph that they write about how the walk went and the pics they give after the walk. & my mini dachshund Chico loves them!

Austin was easy to communicate with, friendly, go-with-the-flow, on time, and very trustworthy. My mother in law felt very comfortable with him and our dogs appreciated his willingness to take them on familiar walking paths. Would definitely recommend and rehire.

Julia helped us on a last minute request to walk and feed our dog. She was so sweet with him and my dog immediately took to her kind nature. She was very communicative and took great pics. My dog was belly up loving all the attention. I would definitely recommend Julia and will be requesting her help again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
