“Susan is absolutely wonderful! My dog liked her instantly when she came by for a meet and greet and I knew that was a great sign. She took good care of my dog and went above and beyond to make sure she got a good walk. I highly recommend Susan for anyone who’s looking for reliable and loving care for their pet!”

About: I’ve owned dogs for most of my life! I’m super active so long walks don’t scare me! I have patience for all different personalities and accept special requests. And of course, I have so much love for dogs!! I’m currently home for the summer from school! I’m a student at Point Loma Nazarene University but don’t go back until September! I’m working at Hanna’s restaurant part time and my hours are super flexible! I’ve house sat, dog sat, and baby sat multiple times so I’m very familiar with how everything works. As far as other’s homes, keeping it clean and respected is my top priority while getting my task done.

About: Hello! I’m a dependable and attentive pet sitter dedicated to providing high-quality care for your dog. I have experience with daily routines, leash walking, feeding schedules, and administering basic care. My goal is to maintain consistency and comfort for your pet while you’re away. I take safety seriously and communicate clearly, so you can relax knowing your dog is in good hands. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I’m able to take breaks as needed. On the weekends I like to stay close to home. I wouldn’t leave the house for more than a few hours at a time. Your pet will feel like they’re at home. They will receive the same love, attention and care! Any specific needs can be accommodated as well.
About: I have been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old, and as a former veterinary technician assistant with two years of professional experience working with animals, I can ensure attentive, knowledgeable care tailored to your dog’s individual needs. Whether that includes senior dogs requiring gentle handling, puppies in training, or dogs that need additional support during leash walks, I am committed to providing safe, reliable, and personalized care for every pet. I am currently on summer break and also work part-time, which provides me with flexible availability during weekdays to dedicate to pet care. While I am typically unavailable on weekends, I am happy to accommodate requests when possible, depending on schedule compatibility. For pet check-ins and dog walking services, I prioritize establishing trust and consistency by meeting with both the owner and their pet prior to the first scheduled visit. This allows me to become familiar with home access instructions, as well as understand each pet’s individual walking routines, preferences, and specific care needs. For check-ins, I typically meet with owners beforehand so they can walk me through their pet’s routine and expectations for the visit, whether that includes feeding, refreshing water, cleaning their space, administering general care, or simply providing companionship to help reduce stress and anxiety while their owner is away. My goal is to ensure every pet receives attentive, reliable care while maintaining the comfort of their normal routine.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I can remember. I grew up being the personal dog sitter for everyone in my neighborhood. I’ve taken care of dogs of various ages ranging from new born to elder. I absolutely love animals and promise to take care of your pup with the same amount I give my own. I am a full-time college student. I am free Mondays and Wednesdays after 2pm. Tuesdays after 4. All day Thursdays and Fridays. Free weekends if needed. My dad is always home so if I’m not home there will be someone there to be with the pet if it is being sat at my house. I have a huge park by my house and will take them on frequent walks. When I visit dogs at families houses I make sure the dog is fed, pet, snuggled sufficiently, walked, and has enough water. Any special treatment you’d like me to add I will do. I promise to pamper your loved ones.
“Did absolutely amazing with our rescue dog. Sent me pictures and videos, even made sure she drank water and that she was comfortable before putting her back in her kennel. 100% recommend her to walk your fur babies!”

“Kristie is outstanding! She was extremely patient with my reactive and fearful dog, spent a lot of time getting to know her, and make her feel safe and comfortable. She has obviously a lot of experience handling dogs and I would highly recommend her!”

About: I have pet sat for friends and family throughout the years and have developed a special love for it. I have skills administering meds to cats and have three cats of my own! I am a current student, however, with summer coming up, my schedule is completely open! I would love to work with you to figure out the best way to ensure your pet has all the attention they need! I treat every pet as my own and every home as my own, with the upmost respect and care for everything in it! If there are any specific house rules, I would be glad to accommodate them!
About: From as long back as I can remember I’ve had pets of all kinds. I was the kid that brought strays home. I’m the person that an owner of a stubborn pet will say to “wow! They actually like you.” It’s hard for me to put into words how much I love animals. I have pets of my own and know how hard it is to trust others with them. I just want to help pets who have owners that need to go away for a bit feel safe in that change. And I want to give you peace of mind that your fur-babies are being taken care of. I’m here to help them and to help you. I’ve never lived a day without having a dog. I’ve cared for and watched over many dogs of my own, of family’s and of friend’s. Professionally I have walked for Wag! and continued on as a personal/private house and dog sitter for a couple who traveled on average once a month. I held this position for almost three years. I bonded with and stayed in their home with their dog consistently to maintain her routine when her owners were away. Growing up I’ve had dogs of many breeds and sizes. I take pride in my ability to connect and communicate with dogs and to understand their unique ways of communicating. I have a natural affinity for them. I find genuine joy in entertaining and caring for animals, and making them feel and comfortable and stable while you’re away. Feel free to reach out or request a free met-and-greet! I am a recent graduate working part time. I am able to easily accommodate in-home, over-night care. My job is 9-5 or 10-5 depending on the day, so the days I work I will be able to easily do morning and evening care routines, and if you’re close enough to my work place I can take long lunches for mid-day walks, check-ins, and potty breaks. The days I am off, I will be able to stay with them all day. I have flexibility with my schedule so given 2 weeks notice I can move my work schedule to have days off during my stay. Reach out to discuss these options! When staying at a client’s house or even just stopping by for the day, I like to know the animal’s regular routine and will do my best to follow it. I do everything I can to bond with the animal and to gain their trust, showing them that I am not a threat. I will engage in anything they enjoy from snuggling, playing, walking etc. Whatever they need I will happily provide. As long as I have a clear description of their routine and needs I’m confident they will be happy and comfortable with me. I am uniquely skilled at connecting with animals of all kinds. I am able to determine their unique style of communication and abide by it. My speciality is in-home over-night stays. I will be work to maintain their regular routine.
About: From cows to dogs, I have been around all kinds of animals since I was a kid. I understand each pet has their own history and personality that comes with them! I am currently back home for the summer and have a lot of availability to walk your pets! I am flexible with times and always willing to help out. I would bring water with a clean bowl for the dogs I walk, as well as doggy bags and any treats approved by their owners. I would make a list in my notes of the dog's name, any allergies, behavior to be aware of, and allowed treats to stay organized and on the ball for their needs. I will walk with the dog any distance required by the owners to make sure their furbaby gets what they need!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old. I am Animal Care Certified. I can take care of birds, cats, lizards and dogs. I take care of animals daily. I feed and play with them everyday. About: Hi! I’m a recent magna cum laude graduate of Oregon State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a focus in Crime & Justice, along with minors in Criminology and Political Science. During nearly three years of college, I worked at a coffee shop located inside OSU’s veterinary hospital, which was such a unique and rewarding experience. I loved being surrounded by animals every day and interacting with students and staff who shared that same passion. I learned a lot about animal safety, got plenty of time with pups, and was always happy to hand out a free pup cup (when diet-approved, of course!). My love for dogs started very early. I grew up with my rescue dog Bruce, a Black Lab/Chow mix, from the time I was six years old and he was a pup until he passed at 15 and a half years old last May. He was truly my best friend and a huge part of my life—I spent years walking him, playing fetch, and caring for him full-time. In 2022, my family adopted another rescue, Phoebe, who came from a traumatic background and needed a lot of patience, structure, and care. I was heavily involved in her training process—from potty training and leash work to helping her adjust to a safe, loving home. It was a learning experience that required consistency and compassion, and it was incredibly rewarding to watch her grow into the calm, happy, and well-behaved dog she is today. She now loves walks, hikes, and being around people and other dogs. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I frequently volunteered with and donated to a local humane society in Corvallis during college. Through their “Doggy Day Out” program, I would take shelter dogs out for the day—whether that meant walks at the park, pup cups, or simply relaxing at home with plenty of cuddles. I always tailored each outing to the dog’s energy level, age, and personality, making sure they felt safe, comfortable, and loved outside of the shelter environment. I’ve also cared for dogs outside my home, including helping raise and train a puppy for a close friend—handling walks, feeding, drop-ins, and daily routines while building good habits from the start. I’m responsible, attentive, and genuinely love working with dogs of all ages, energy levels, and backgrounds. Whether it’s an energetic puppy or a senior dog who needs a gentler pace, I’m committed to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m currently home for the summer in San Clemente and Rancho Santa Margarita through July 28, and will return again starting September 1. During these times, I have full availability and a very flexible schedule. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I carefully follow all routines—feeding, walks, medications, and preferences—so your dog feels as normal and stress-free as possible. I’m very attentive to behavior and body language, especially with dogs who may be anxious or still adjusting. I take precautions on walks, keep environments secure, and always prioritize safety. I also treat your home with respect and keep you updated with photos and communication so you feel confident your pet is in good hands.

Lan has been amazing with my dog! She is patient, kind, and genuinely cares about the dogs she works with. My pup always comes back happy and well-exercised. Her communication is great, and I love receiving the walk summaries and pictures. So grateful to have found her!

Susan is absolutely wonderful! My dog liked her instantly when she came by for a meet and greet and I knew that was a great sign. She took good care of my dog and went above and beyond to make sure she got a good walk. I highly recommend Susan for anyone who’s looking for reliable and loving care for their pet!

10/10! This was my first experience with rover and Lainie was awesome! I reached out pretty last minute, she got back to me immediately! I really appreciated that she proactively let me know she wouldn’t be available until about 15 minutes after one of my requested times and checked to make sure that was okay before confirming through the app. Even a longer delay wouldn’t have mattered, as long as my dog received love and attention, but her communication and professionalism truly stood out.

I couldn’t be happier with Yan! She took excellent care of my energetic husky, kept me updated at walk, and really treated him like family. She’s very on time professional, love and caring! It’s such a relief knowing he’s in good hands when I’m away. Definitely booking again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
