I’m so happy I’ve found Susan to take care of Simba! She is so great with him, and I can see he really enjoys being with her. She had great communication, was always on time, and took pictures on each visit. I would definitely trust her anytime I needed a pet sitter!

About: Former live-in dog caretaker with hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I understand the importance of maintaining your pet’s routine and providing a safe, loving, and dependable environment while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule, allowing me to provide attentive care and spend as much time with your pets as needed. Whether it’s maintaining their routine, offering companionship, or making multiple visits throughout the day, I’m committed to giving them the care and attention they deserve. I prefer to meet you and your pet before the first booking to ensure everyone feels comfortable. I’ll carefully follow your care instructions, including administering oral medications or mixing them with food exactly as directed. I tailor my approach to each pet’s comfort level, building trust at their pace. With cats especially, I never force interaction. I understand their unique personalities and will happily give them space when they need it.

Dawn is awesome! After the third day Smokey didn't even look back at me. He saw Dawn and was was tugging at the leash to go. She even worked with me to split his walking time up when he couldn't make it back home one day. He's an old pup. I would highly recommend Dawn to anyone.

About: I am the biggest animal lover at heart. I truly believe that pets are family, and they deserve the same love, patience, and attention as any human. I've always had a deep connection with animals of all kinds, and spending time with them brings me so much joy. I have professional experience working at a dog daycare, where I was responsible for supervising playgroups, feeding, administering medications when needed, cleaning, and making sure every dog was happy, safe, and well cared for. I've worked with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and energy levels, from playful puppies to sweet senior dogs. I'm comfortable with high-energy dogs, shy dogs, and everything in between. Safety, trust, and keeping pets happy are always my top priorities. My journey on Rover is trying to work for myself and my furry friends because I love the freedom of constructing my own hours and creating a schedule that works for both me and the pets I care for. To me, taking care of animals is not a job - it is a privilege. I don't take that lightly. Every pet in my care will be treated like my own, with endless love, attention, and respect. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, feeding, overnight care, or just someone to keep them company while you're away, I will be there to make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy. My schedule is very flexible, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I love being able to create my own hours and work around each pet’s individual routine and needs. I’m available for overnight stays, boarding, walks, drop-ins, and extended daytime care. I’m happy to communicate with you beforehand to make sure your pet’s normal schedule is followed as closely as possible while you’re away. Safety, trust & environment Your pet’s happiness, safety, and comfort are my absolute top priorities! 🐾 I provide care exclusively in the client’s home, which means your pet gets to stay in the place they know and love while keeping their normal routine. I’ll make sure they get plenty of love, attention, playtime, walks, and cuddles while you’re away. I’m also very respectful of your home and will treat it with the same care I give your pets. I’ll follow all of your instructions closely and send you plenty of updates and cute pictures, so you can relax knowing your fur baby is happy, loved, and in great hands! ❤️🐶

About: As an animal lover since a small age, I’ve always been the go-to neighbor and friend to care for other’s beloved pets while they’re away. It’s a bright spot in my day to share some time with furry family members. I love cats, and I’d like to think I’m a bit of a cat whisperer. We have two cats, Bartleby and Butterscotch, both rescues. I understand cats can be timid with new people and need time to feel safe to reveal themselves. I feel I’m good at communicating my intentions and seem to gain their trust quickly through finding just the right way to speak and pet them. Dogs are wonderful companions. I always hate to travel and leave our 5 year old Frenchie named Brutus behind. I had the honor of training him since he was 10 weeks old. Brutus came along right as our senior rescue dog Bill was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease and needed daily medication to help treat it and eventually wearing diapers around the clock. Bill was a Yorkie-poodle mix with skin allergies and needed daily medication. I got to experience the senior dog that was slowing down and needing more care while training a high energy puppy. So I’m fully able and ready to care for dogs at any stage of their lives. I’m great at meeting them we’re they’re at and gaining their trust. I’d be more than happy to help care for your cats and dogs! I’m working part time and have time in the mornings, and after 2pm until late into the night for any help you may need. I am happy to take your dog on walks and play with them, as well as feed and spend time with any cats you may have in your home.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I can remember. I grew up being the personal dog sitter for everyone in my neighborhood. I’ve taken care of dogs of various ages ranging from new born to elder. I absolutely love animals and promise to take care of your pup with the same amount I give my own. I am a full-time college student. I am free Mondays and Wednesdays after 2pm. Tuesdays after 4. All day Thursdays and Fridays. Free weekends if needed. My dad is always home so if I’m not home there will be someone there to be with the pet if it is being sat at my house. I have a huge park by my house and will take them on frequent walks. When I visit dogs at families houses I make sure the dog is fed, pet, snuggled sufficiently, walked, and has enough water. Any special treatment you’d like me to add I will do. I promise to pamper your loved ones.

This was my dog Oivia's first roadside walk with anyone other than her family. My pup is 20 months old, big, and obsessed with trying to chase passing cars so I was hesitant to put her on the end of a leash for anyone else, but Kayla was calm and friendly to the point where we ALL felt comfortable, even the dog. Kayla is amazing. I highly recommend.

About: Hi, we're Faith & Chris, 2 animal lovers with 2 pup loving kiddos. My fiance and I have volunteered to foster over 8 dogs together for several years - from puppies, to neglected dogs, to senior dogs recovering from surgery, we've become extremely knowledgeable and experienced on taking care of doggos and absolutely love doing it! We’re both full-time work from home and are both 100% Safer-At-Home compliant. You can expect excellent care and love while you are away! We don't pack a bunch of dogs in one space and then walk away like other sitters do. We're caring, attentive, reliable, trustworthy, have fast communication, will provide photo updates, and lots of play time. We will take care of your pup as if they were our own in a healthy and fun environment. We also provide quick wipe downs after long walks and hikes so you don't have a muddy pup to clean up after when going home. Fun activities your dog can enjoy with us: We try to go above and beyond to spoil your pup and make them feel like they are on vacation + living their best lives! From daily walks, to sunbathing, butt & belly scratchies, and snuggles on our sofa, we adjust depending on your pup’s activity level. Late Pickups: Dog Boarding is by every 24 hours starting from drop-off time to allow for proper scheduling (we try to host under 3 dogs at a time to provide best individualized attention and end up with overlapped bookings when we have very late pickups). We allow a 4 hour grace period, however anything beyond 4 hours will be considered a late pickup and will get modified at +$5 per hour. We are both full time work from home. We go on walks daily, once in the morning and once in afternoon. We have kids so our weekends are filled with park visits. Please provide information on your dog’s preferences and if they are crate trained or not, please refer to our list of questions at the bottom so we can best accommodate your pup to feel their safest and happiest.

About: I bring a lifetime of hands-on experience caring for animals of all species, with a particular strength in supporting cats and pets with medical or special care needs. I’m comfortable administering medications, monitoring symptoms, and following detailed care routines, including experience with diabetic cats and senior pets. What truly sets me apart is my calm, attentive presence. Animals tend to respond well to me, especially those who are shy, sensitive, or anxious. I take time to observe behavior, respect boundaries, and provide steady, thoughtful care rather than rushed visits. work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide attentive, consistent care throughout the day. I’m able to accommodate regular check-ins, medication schedules, and pets who benefit from a calm, predictable routine. My goal is always to provide reliable care without rushing visits. 10/10! This was my first experience with rover and Lainie was awesome! I reached out pretty last minute, she got back to me immediately! I really appreciated that she proactively let me know she wouldn’t be available until about 15 minutes after one of my requested times and checked to make sure that was okay before confirming through the app. Even a longer delay wouldn’t have mattered, as long as my dog received love and attention, but her communication and professionalism truly stood out.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
