Real Animal Experience, Real Care🐾
I’m currently a zookeeper in training at the Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College, graduating this May with an associate’s degree. I work hands on with both exotic and domestic animals, learning about behavior, body language, and proper handling. This experience helps me stay calm, patient, and attentive with every pet I work with. Through my training experience, I’ve worked with a variety of species, including a tiger, a blind raven, a squirrel monkey, an armadillo, and many more which has strengthened my understanding of behavior, patience, and building trust with different personalities. I also had the opportunity to briefly volunteer with Guide Dogs for the Blind, where I assisted with kennel cleaning, daily walks, feeding, and enrichment for dogs of various personalities. My animal care experience includes feeding, administering medications, cleaning enclosures, providing enrichment, walking animals, and maintaining consistent daily routines. I’m comfortable with energetic dogs, as well as shy or anxious personalities, and I’m confident following specific routines like feeding schedules, walks, and enrichment. I always prioritize making pets feel safe, comfortable, and understood. I take the time to learn each pets personality, routine, and any specific needs before starting care. Through my background working with animals, I’m very familiar with reading body language and handling different temperaments calmly, whether that’s an energetic dog or a more shy or nervous pet. I’m also comfortable following detailed instructions and administering medications if needed. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and keep everything as close to their normal routine as possible. I stay attentive during walks, make sure doors and leashes are secure, and focus on creating a low stress, safe environment. I also enjoy sending updates and photos so you can feel reassured while you’re away! That's always my favorite part :)

Cassie was fantastic! You could tell she’s really caring your dog.She took great care of my husky and made sure he got plenty of exercise ,water and attention during his walk. She was reliable, communicative, and sent thoughtful updates, which gave me peace of mind. My dog came home happy and tired, and it’s clear Cassie genuinely cares about the pets she works with. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker!
Cass took such wonderful care of our cats while we were out of town for the weekend! She was consistent with her visits, played with them, sent us pictures every visit, and kept in constant communication with us. She brought so much peace of mind for my family knowing our cats were showered with so much love and care! Thank you Cass!! ✨

Schedule
My schedule is currently very flexible! I am finishing up my program at The Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College and graduating real soon! This allows me to dedicate consistent, focused time to pet care rather than rushing through visits. I am available on the weekends for drop-in visits and walks, and I'm specifically focusing on providing reliable daytime care. I am currently not offering boarding or weekend services, as I want to make sure I can give each pet my full attention and consistency during the week :)
