About: Hi, we're Faith & Chris, 2 animal lovers with 2 pup loving kiddos. My fiance and I have volunteered to foster over 8 dogs together for several years - from puppies, to neglected dogs, to senior dogs recovering from surgery, we've become extremely knowledgeable and experienced on taking care of doggos and absolutely love doing it! We’re both full-time work from home and are both 100% Safer-At-Home compliant. You can expect excellent care and love while you are away! We don't pack a bunch of dogs in one space and then walk away like other sitters do. We're caring, attentive, reliable, trustworthy, have fast communication, will provide photo updates, and lots of play time. We will take care of your pup as if they were our own in a healthy and fun environment. We also provide quick wipe downs after long walks and hikes so you don't have a muddy pup to clean up after when going home. Fun activities your dog can enjoy with us: We try to go above and beyond to spoil your pup and make them feel like they are on vacation + living their best lives! From daily walks, to sunbathing, butt & belly scratchies, and snuggles on our sofa, we adjust depending on your pup’s activity level. Late Pickups: Dog Boarding is by every 24 hours starting from drop-off time to allow for proper scheduling (we try to host under 3 dogs at a time to provide best individualized attention and end up with overlapped bookings when we have very late pickups). We allow a 4 hour grace period, however anything beyond 4 hours will be considered a late pickup and will get modified at +$5 per hour. We are both full time work from home. We go on walks daily, once in the morning and once in afternoon. We have kids so our weekends are filled with park visits. Please provide information on your dog’s preferences and if they are crate trained or not, please refer to our list of questions at the bottom so we can best accommodate your pup to feel their safest and happiest.
“Rachel took care of our 13 year old Viszla for 11 days with excellence, great care and a personal touch!! We so appreciated all the special care she gave him!! We had peace of mind while being away. Rachel communicated regularly and effectively about his eating, exercise and general well being which we appreciated so much!! Rachel is a dog lover who gave our dog so much love!!! We give Rachel the highest recommendation!!”

“Cass took such wonderful care of our cats while we were out of town for the weekend! She was consistent with her visits, played with them, sent us pictures every visit, and kept in constant communication with us. She brought so much peace of mind for my family knowing our cats were showered with so much love and care! Thank you Cass!! ✨”
“Although or senior kitty stayed in his kitty cave most of the time, Susan always made an effort with him and even coaxed him out one day. She always sent photos and details of her visit.”

“Absolutely love Randi! Great communication and a very kind heart She was very passionate about taking care of my cat. Not just the normal stuff... feeding, litter box cleaning. But very dedicated to socializing and playing with the cat.”
About: I’ve owned dogs for most of my life! I’m super active so long walks don’t scare me! I have patience for all different personalities and accept special requests. And of course, I have so much love for dogs!! I’m currently home for the summer from school! I’m a student at Point Loma Nazarene University but don’t go back until September! I’m working at Hanna’s restaurant part time and my hours are super flexible! I’ve house sat, dog sat, and baby sat multiple times so I’m very familiar with how everything works. As far as other’s homes, keeping it clean and respected is my top priority while getting my task done.

About: I’ve always been a total cat person! Whether it’s a playful kitten or a seasoned nap champion, I genuinely enjoy getting to know each cat’s unique personality. Over the years, I’ve cared for all kinds of feline friends: energetic, shy, purr machines, and everything in between. I understand that each cat has different needs…whether that’s active playtime, quiet companionship, or just someone who knows how to give the perfect chin scratch. My goal is always to create a safe, loving, and low-stress environment. I keep their routine consistent, from feeding schedules and litter box care to making sure they have clean, cozy spots to relax. I’m also a bit of a neat freak, so their space stays fresh and tidy (no stinky boxes or spilled kibble here!). I pay close attention to their behavior and comfort, and I’m quick to notice if something seems off. You’ll get updates and photos so you can feel confident your cat is doing well and probably living their best life. Cat sitting, for me, is more than just a job. It’s a chance to bond, provide comfort, and be a trustworthy stand-in while you’re away. I genuinely love being part of their day and making sure they’re not just safe, but happy, relaxed, and completely spoiled. I babysit or run errands occasionally during the week, but I’m just five minutes away. It’s easy for me to stop by as needed. I have plenty of time to give your cat attention and care when it matters most. Your cat’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I create a calm, clean, and secure environment where they can feel relaxed and at home. I’m mindful of keeping doors and windows safe, removing any hazards, and ensuring they always have fresh water, a clean litter box, and their favorite cozy spots. I pay close attention to their behavior and health, and I’m quick to notice if something seems off. Whether they’re playful or prefer quiet time, I tailor their care to make them feel safe, seen, and loved.
“Our dog, Bob and Roxy have become so comfortable with Kristie. She is always prompt and reliable that we continue to hire her for drop ins. Thank you for taking such good care of our babies.”

About: I’m a professional woman, late 30s, no kids, no other pets, non-smoking home, and live in a townhome in Coto. I work from home when I’m not traveling to client sites- I’m a healthcare consultant. I learned about Rover years ago after using it for my own former pets. My dogs: lab/pit mix, and a terrier mix, and two cats- all rescues. I also grew up with snakes, lizards and fish because I have a sister who is allergic to fur, so home-sitting reptiles is not a problem. But as I mentioned, I travel often and don’t think having my own pet is a responsible, caring choice at this time. So, instead, I’d love to take care of your fur babies when I’m not traveling. Because I work from home, you can expect my 24/7 attention. During the day, conference calls can be taken during long walks, or I can work on my laptop from the dog park. Or, I’d love to have them snooze at my feet in my office as I type away. In the evening it’s just Netflix and play. While I don’t have my own backyard, I’m just steps from one of our amazing trails, so frequent potty breaks are easy. I’m comfortable with animals on my furniture or co-sleeping. But I also am comfortable with crating as I did this with my larger dogs. Pets with special needs are welcome. Please supply any special toys, treats, food, and maybe even one of your old tee-shirts to help with the temporary transition. Also, I prefer to do a quick pre-sit meet and greet to ensure that everyone is comfortable, and you’re welcome to come see my home if I’ll be hosting.
“Julia was beyond professional and friendly! She was on time to all appointments. Communication was great. Kitty was well taken care of and we appreciate that! We have already booked Julia again! Thank you!”

About: Hi! I’m a recent magna cum laude graduate of Oregon State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a focus in Crime & Justice, along with minors in Criminology and Political Science. During nearly three years of college, I worked at a coffee shop located inside OSU’s veterinary hospital, which was such a unique and rewarding experience. I loved being surrounded by animals every day and interacting with students and staff who shared that same passion. I learned a lot about animal safety, got plenty of time with pups, and was always happy to hand out a free pup cup (when diet-approved, of course!). My love for dogs started very early. I grew up with my rescue dog Bruce, a Black Lab/Chow mix, from the time I was six years old and he was a pup until he passed at 15 and a half years old last May. He was truly my best friend and a huge part of my life—I spent years walking him, playing fetch, and caring for him full-time. In 2022, my family adopted another rescue, Phoebe, who came from a traumatic background and needed a lot of patience, structure, and care. I was heavily involved in her training process—from potty training and leash work to helping her adjust to a safe, loving home. It was a learning experience that required consistency and compassion, and it was incredibly rewarding to watch her grow into the calm, happy, and well-behaved dog she is today. She now loves walks, hikes, and being around people and other dogs. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I frequently volunteered with and donated to a local humane society in Corvallis during college. Through their “Doggy Day Out” program, I would take shelter dogs out for the day—whether that meant walks at the park, pup cups, or simply relaxing at home with plenty of cuddles. I always tailored each outing to the dog’s energy level, age, and personality, making sure they felt safe, comfortable, and loved outside of the shelter environment. I’ve also cared for dogs outside my home, including helping raise and train a puppy for a close friend—handling walks, feeding, drop-ins, and daily routines while building good habits from the start. I’m responsible, attentive, and genuinely love working with dogs of all ages, energy levels, and backgrounds. Whether it’s an energetic puppy or a senior dog who needs a gentler pace, I’m committed to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m currently home for the summer in San Clemente and Rancho Santa Margarita through July 28, and will return again starting September 1. During these times, I have full availability and a very flexible schedule. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I carefully follow all routines—feeding, walks, medications, and preferences—so your dog feels as normal and stress-free as possible. I’m very attentive to behavior and body language, especially with dogs who may be anxious or still adjusting. I take precautions on walks, keep environments secure, and always prioritize safety. I also treat your home with respect and keep you updated with photos and communication so you feel confident your pet is in good hands.
“Our cats are typically on the shy side when meeting new people, but warmed up quickly with David. Which shows he's genuinely great with pets. This would be our 2nd time booking with David, and will definitely book again! Thank you David!!!”

About: I have been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old, and as a former veterinary technician assistant with two years of professional experience working with animals, I can ensure attentive, knowledgeable care tailored to your dog’s individual needs. Whether that includes senior dogs requiring gentle handling, puppies in training, or dogs that need additional support during leash walks, I am committed to providing safe, reliable, and personalized care for every pet. I am currently on summer break and also work part-time, which provides me with flexible availability during weekdays to dedicate to pet care. While I am typically unavailable on weekends, I am happy to accommodate requests when possible, depending on schedule compatibility. For pet check-ins and dog walking services, I prioritize establishing trust and consistency by meeting with both the owner and their pet prior to the first scheduled visit. This allows me to become familiar with home access instructions, as well as understand each pet’s individual walking routines, preferences, and specific care needs. For check-ins, I typically meet with owners beforehand so they can walk me through their pet’s routine and expectations for the visit, whether that includes feeding, refreshing water, cleaning their space, administering general care, or simply providing companionship to help reduce stress and anxiety while their owner is away. My goal is to ensure every pet receives attentive, reliable care while maintaining the comfort of their normal routine.
“Amanda was an absolutely wonderful cat sitter for our cat, Addy, while we were out of town! She was extremely reliable, always sending detailed updates and photos after every visit. It was clear that she genuinely love cats; Addy was happy when we returned, and the house was perfectly tidy. We especially appreciated how she handled her wet food, playing with her, and a last minute home trash request. Highly recommend her for peace of mind!”

About: I have pet sat for friends and family throughout the years and have developed a special love for it. I have skills administering meds to cats and have three cats of my own! I am a current student, however, with summer coming up, my schedule is completely open! I would love to work with you to figure out the best way to ensure your pet has all the attention they need! I treat every pet as my own and every home as my own, with the upmost respect and care for everything in it! If there are any specific house rules, I would be glad to accommodate them!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Coto De Caza. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
