“I am always a little hesitant to have new people watch our pups but this time I decided to try rover and I am so happy that we did. We did a meet and greet with Nikki and she was absolutely wonderful. Our dog Bob immediately wanted belly scratches from her and Roxy, our blind, senior dog who normally shakes when she hears new voices, was completely calm. She got to our home just right on time and gave us a lot of updates while we were away. She took our dogs out for a potty and she texted me pictures of Bob and Roxy throughout the night which I really appreciate. I already have her booked for another date and I’m so happy we met Nikki. Thank you for taking care of our pups.”

“Elizabeth helped with drop in visits while we were out of town. She took such good care of my girls, sent lots of photos and gave them so much love! Will definitely book with Elizabeth again in the future :)”

“This was my first time leaving my cat alone for the weekend and I couldn’t have been more happy with Rachel! She was super kind, thorough, and communicative with me. I will definitely be using Rachel again in the future when needed!”

About: Hi, I’m Alyssa! Animals have always been a big part of my life. From an early age, I’ve cared for family pets and helped friends with everything from daily walks to overnight stays. Whether it’s playtime, exercise, cuddles, or simply keeping a routine, I provide reliable and loving care that makes pets feel safe and happy while their owners are away. My goal is to treat every animal as if they were my own—because I know they’re family. I would love to take dogs on walks in during the early morning hours or in the evening. I’m available to stop by and do check-ins during the day as well! 🐾 Care Elements I Prioritize Routine Consistency — following your feeding, walking, and training habits to reduce stress. Safety & Supervision — secure environments, monitored play, and awareness of household hazards. Cleanliness — tidy spaces, fresh water, clean bowls, and regular waste removal. Enrichment — mental stimulation, sniff walks, puzzle toys, and interactive games. Comfort — cozy rest areas, gentle attention, and calm companionship.
“Absolutely love Randi! Great communication and a very kind heart She was very passionate about taking care of my cat. Not just the normal stuff... feeding, litter box cleaning. But very dedicated to socializing and playing with the cat.”
About: I have had my maltese, Milky, for fifteen years and unfortunately had to say goodbye to my childhood dog back in 2023. I would love to meet some new dogs and spend more time with some new friends! I have experience working with dogs as I worked at a dog grooming salon. I had always wanted a dog when I was younger and felt a strange connection to dogs, wherever and whenever I saw them. I have also worked with No Stray Left Behind which is an organization that helps adopt abandoned dogs. I’m currently working part-time so have plenty of time to look after or walk your pet! (: My schedule is pretty flexible so it shouldn’t be hard to find availability! I have a fenced backyard that is definitely safer than just letting the dog outside and also live in a cul de sac where I can safely walk the dog if needed!
“Amanda is awesome! She is kind and genuinely loves animals. She was reliable, prompt and sent me daily pictures of my very shy cat Alice. She was also kind enough to place some flowers I received in water so that they wouldn’t die. Definitely would have her watch Alice again!”

About: I've taken care of 16 very different kinds of dogs in my life time and at least 10 different cats breeds, as well as have taken in a few street dogs. I love animals so much and they bring me joy to watch, play with, and take care of. I love teaching dogs new skills and tricks for fun as well as teaching them to behave. I like making sure they feel loved and safe. I'm currently working part time and usually work on the afternoons from 4-8 so as long as I can walk to your place (I don't have a car unfortunately) I'll make sure to check on your pets before and after work as well as earlier in the day of I'm not fully day sitting. Right now I live with a family that has two dogs. I take them for walks occasionally, someone feeds them in the morning around 8 and I feed them around 4. One is a larger dog who doesn't do very well with other dogs but is fine with people. The other is a smaller dog who doesn't really do well with people but is fine with other dogs. So when I take them out I have to be extra cautious.

“Cass took such wonderful care of our cats while we were out of town for the weekend! She was consistent with her visits, played with them, sent us pictures every visit, and kept in constant communication with us. She brought so much peace of mind for my family knowing our cats were showered with so much love and care! Thank you Cass!! ✨”

About: As an animal lover since a small age, I’ve always been the go-to neighbor and friend to care for other’s beloved pets while they’re away. It’s a bright spot in my day to share some time with furry family members. I love cats, and I’d like to think I’m a bit of a cat whisperer. We have two cats, Bartleby and Butterscotch, both rescues. I understand cats can be timid with new people and need time to feel safe to reveal themselves. I feel I’m good at communicating my intentions and seem to gain their trust quickly through finding just the right way to speak and pet them. Dogs are wonderful companions. I always hate to travel and leave our 5 year old Frenchie named Brutus behind. I had the honor of training him since he was 10 weeks old. Brutus came along right as our senior rescue dog Bill was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease and needed daily medication to help treat it and eventually wearing diapers around the clock. Bill was a Yorkie-poodle mix with skin allergies and needed daily medication. I got to experience the senior dog that was slowing down and needing more care while training a high energy puppy. So I’m fully able and ready to care for dogs at any stage of their lives. I’m great at meeting them we’re they’re at and gaining their trust. I’d be more than happy to help care for your cats and dogs! I’m working part time and have time in the mornings, and after 2pm until late into the night for any help you may need. I am happy to take your dog on walks and play with them, as well as feed and spend time with any cats you may have in your home.
“Erica is wonderful! She takes care of our dog, cats, and turtle when we are out of town and they all love her. After the visit, Erica always writes how the visit went, how our small zoo is doing and sends pictures of everyone. :) They all love getting pets and cuddles from Erica when she visits!”

“Kylie did a great job taking care of my 2 cats. Sweet, punctual, responsive and overall easy to communicate/work with. I will not hesitate to reach out to her again when I need someone to care for my orange boys.”

About: I have pet sat for friends and family throughout the years and have developed a special love for it. I have skills administering meds to cats and have three cats of my own! I am a current student that commutes to campus. I will be gone for a couple hours at a time for class, however, I would love to work with you to figure out the best way to ensure your pet has all the attention they need! I treat every pet as my own and every home as my own, with the upmost respect and care for everything in it! If there are any specific house rules, I would be glad to accommodate them!
About: Hi I’m Kalynn! I’m 22 years old and have always been a huge animal lover. I grew up with all sorts of animals including cats, dogs, reptiles, amphibians, and even rodents. So I’m no stranger to the clean up and giving them lots of love. I’ve also taken care of many friends and family’s animals since I was a teenager, along with overnight stays. Safety is always my #1 priority and I aim to create a stress free and fun environment for everyone. Feel free to message at any time, I’m a quick responder and always open to lending a helping hand! My schedule is very flexible and always open so I can be available to help and care for your pet when ever you may need. Your animals trust and comfort are very important to me. My goal is to adapt to their routine and schedule to keep them happy while under my care. I always provide fresh food and water, along with exercise and enrichment throughout the day.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Rancho Santa Margarita
As always, Aarthi was super professional and took great care of our baby. She's amazing communicating everything and following new or updated instructions, and she's always very affectionate with our cat. We are very happy knowing our baby is in good hands whenever we have to travel

Lauren watched my cat Lola for 10 days. From the start she was quick to respond to messages. Lauren always left detailed Rover cards with plenty of photos for me to view each day. I could tell Lola was happy and healthy! She even swept up Lola’s kitty litter tracks in the living room. I would happily book with her again.

Lisa did an amazing job caring for my 3 cats and 2 Bunnies who need specialized care. I have been struggling for a long time to find someone who I trust to take care of all of my animals for a while now, and I am so glad that I found Lisa. She was responsive and communicative, showed up when expected, and was very thorough in following my (admittedly extensive) instructions on how to care for my pets including medications for one cat and multiple supplements for the bunnies. She showed good decision making when I was temporarily unable to answer questions, and genuinely seemed to care about the care and well-being of my pets. I can't wait to book her again for our next trip!

Nancy is amazing! Even though my cat is wary of people and hid when Nancy stopped by, she still went above and beyond during every visit. She made sure my cat had everything she needed, always leaving plenty of fresh food and water and checking the litter box. Nancy was easy to communicate with and even took on the extra task of watering my plants when a heat wave rolled in. I’m so happy I found her and will absolutely be using her again in the future!

Sabrina & Marc were great! They visited at the scheduled times and made sure to send us plenty of pictures so we knew Peaches was happy and being well taken care of. I highly recommend Sabrina & Marc and will definitely be having them watch Peaches for us again when we go out of town.

Shahla was incredible! She watched my cat and rabbit for about a week and sent me constant pictures, videos, and updates. I only expected her to clean the litter box and feed them, but by day 2, she was playing with them and giving them love. I was surprised because both animals are very shy to new people, but they must have sensed her natural instinct and warmed up to her immediately. I’m so grateful for her and will definitely use her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
