“Sheree is like the new best kept secret in my area!!! I almost don’t want to leave a review bc I don’t want her to get too busy to watch my babies but she deserves the most raving review! She takes such great care of them and I can see how much happier they are when I get home after she has been there to hang out with them and walk them. She is always so prompt on confirming walks and visits, super dependable, reliable, trustworthy and loves animals as much as I do! You cannot go wrong with having Sheree take care of your fur babies whenever you cannot…it’s the next best thing to me being there!!!♥️”

“Mackenna was awesome! I felt total trust and confidence in leaving my dog in the care of Mackenna know that Sami, my husky, would be well cared for. Mackenna went above and beyond in providing extra care, cuddles and was very attentive.”

About: Hi! My name is Gayane, and animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I currently share my home with two wonderful rescue cats, and throughout my life I have cared for both cats and dogs of all ages and personalities. Beyond caring for my own pets, I have experience fostering, rehabilitating, and helping homeless and abandoned animals find safe and loving homes. I understand that every pet is unique and deserves patience, kindness, and individual attention. Whether your pet needs a fun walk, playtime, companionship, or simply someone reliable to care for them while you're away, I will treat them with the same love and care I give my own animals. As a pet parent myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member. My goal is to make both you and your pet feel comfortable, safe, and happy. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets I care for. My own rescue cats are part of my everyday life, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Whether it's dog walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, or simply providing companionship, I can easily incorporate pet care into my day and ensure that every pet receives the attention, affection, and consistency they deserve. I believe pets are happiest when their routines are respected and they feel safe and comfortable. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, medication (if needed), playtime, and any special routines or preferences. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and supervision while their owners are away. I also provide regular updates and photos so pet parents can feel confident that their furry family members are doing well. Having cared for rescue animals and foster pets, I understand that every animal has a unique personality and comfort level. I always take the time to build trust and make sure each pet feels secure, loved, and well cared for.
About: I’ve worked at Wags and Wiggles daycare/boarding and cared for my own dog through her seniorhood. I’m a part-time and gig worker so I have plenty of time to give your pups the love and care they deserve! Additionally, I work from home often enabling me to be hands on and attentive to all specific pet needs. My flexible schedule allows me to cater to YOUR dogs needs. I live right next door to a dog park and incorporate long walks into my every day, making me compatible with a more social dog. I also spend a lot of time at home reading and writing, making me great for cuddlebugs and lower energy dogs!
About: With six years of experience caring for pets of all ages and personalities, I provide attentive, compassionate care to each animal’s needs. I’m comfortable with puppies, senior dogs, and pets with special requirements, and I make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I follow care instructions carefully, keep their routines consistent, and pay close attention to any changes in behavior, appetite, or health. My genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being sets me apart, giving you peace of mind that your furry family members are in capable and caring hands. I’m a nursing student with a part-time schedule, so I can give your pets plenty of attention and care. I’m available Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays until the end of January, and I’ll have a clearer schedule around the first week of February. I enjoy walks, playtime, and I make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I can also follow your pet’s routine closely to keep them comfortable and stress-free. Whether in your home or mine, I prioritize a safe, clean, and calm environment for every pet. I follow all care instructions carefully, provide fresh food and water, and supervise pets at all times. I remove hazards, give pets plenty of attention, and make sure their needs are met so you can feel confident they’re safe, happy, and well cared for while in my care.

About: I’ve always been a total cat person! Whether it’s a playful kitten or a seasoned nap champion, I genuinely enjoy getting to know each cat’s unique personality. Over the years, I’ve cared for all kinds of feline friends: energetic, shy, purr machines, and everything in between. I understand that each cat has different needs…whether that’s active playtime, quiet companionship, or just someone who knows how to give the perfect chin scratch. My goal is always to create a safe, loving, and low-stress environment. I keep their routine consistent, from feeding schedules and litter box care to making sure they have clean, cozy spots to relax. I’m also a bit of a neat freak, so their space stays fresh and tidy (no stinky boxes or spilled kibble here!). I pay close attention to their behavior and comfort, and I’m quick to notice if something seems off. You’ll get updates and photos so you can feel confident your cat is doing well and probably living their best life. Cat sitting, for me, is more than just a job. It’s a chance to bond, provide comfort, and be a trustworthy stand-in while you’re away. I genuinely love being part of their day and making sure they’re not just safe, but happy, relaxed, and completely spoiled. I babysit or run errands occasionally during the week, but I’m just five minutes away. It’s easy for me to stop by as needed. I have plenty of time to give your cat attention and care when it matters most. Your cat’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I create a calm, clean, and secure environment where they can feel relaxed and at home. I’m mindful of keeping doors and windows safe, removing any hazards, and ensuring they always have fresh water, a clean litter box, and their favorite cozy spots. I pay close attention to their behavior and health, and I’m quick to notice if something seems off. Whether they’re playful or prefer quiet time, I tailor their care to make them feel safe, seen, and loved.
“Daniel did a great job taking care of my dogs this weekend! He was reliable, professional, and clearly knows how to handle animals. My neighbors even mentioned how respectful and attentive he was with the dogs. Everything went smoothly, and I’ll be booking with him again. Highly recommend.”

About: I grew up caring for dogs and have two of my own, Ruby and Hazel, who taught me a lot about patience, routine, and understanding different personalities. Because of them, I’m comfortable with everything from daily walks to managing feeding schedules, giving plenty of playtime, and keeping a calm, safe environment. I’m used to working with both puppies and older dogs who may need a little extra support. I pay close attention to each dog’s needs and habits so owners feel confident that their pets are understood and cared for. What sets me apart is the level of communication and care I provide. I always keep owners updated, share photos, and make sure every dog feels comfortable, happy, and loved while you are away. Pet care is already part of my daily routine because I care for my two dogs, Ruby and Hazel. I’m used to morning and evening walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and giving them lots of attention throughout the day. Adding walks or drop-ins fits naturally into my schedule, and I make sure I have enough time set aside so every dog gets proper care without feeling rushed. On a weekly basis, I plan around the pets I’m responsible for, whether that means regular walks, check-ins, or longer stays. I’m consistent, reliable, and comfortable building a routine that keeps each dog happy and supported. When I’m caring for pets in my home, I focus on keeping them comfortable and safe. I follow their usual routines for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest so they feel at ease. I keep a clean space, monitor them closely, and make sure they get plenty of attention and affection, just like Ruby and Hazel do every day. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect the owner’s rules and the dog’s normal routine. I make sure feeding times, walk schedules, and any training habits stay consistent. I give regular updates, and make sure the dog feels secure in a familiar environment. My goal in both settings is to keep each pet happy, calm, and cared for while giving owners peace of mind.

“Dawn did such a great job with my two kittens - very attentive, took wonderful care of them, and gave them lots of play time! She even kept my place clean, which is hard to do with kittens playing in cat litter all the time :)”

“I have Ailen scheduled for recurring drop-in visits four days a week while I work 12-hour shifts as a nurse, and I couldn’t be happier. She is incredibly communicative, always punctual, and consistently goes above and beyond. I really appreciate how much time and care she gives my dog, and she even takes a moment to say hi to my cats, which means a lot. She is professional, trustworthy, and truly reliable. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care.”

About: Hi! I’m a recent magna cum laude graduate of Oregon State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a focus in Crime & Justice, along with minors in Criminology and Political Science. During nearly three years of college, I worked at a coffee shop located inside OSU’s veterinary hospital, which was such a unique and rewarding experience. I loved being surrounded by animals every day and interacting with students and staff who shared that same passion. I learned a lot about animal safety, got plenty of time with pups, and was always happy to hand out a free pup cup (when diet-approved, of course!). My love for dogs started very early. I grew up with my rescue dog Bruce, a Black Lab/Chow mix, from the time I was six years old and he was a pup until he passed at 15 and a half years old last May. He was truly my best friend and a huge part of my life—I spent years walking him, playing fetch, and caring for him full-time. In 2022, my family adopted another rescue, Phoebe, who came from a traumatic background and needed a lot of patience, structure, and care. I was heavily involved in her training process—from potty training and leash work to helping her adjust to a safe, loving home. It was a learning experience that required consistency and compassion, and it was incredibly rewarding to watch her grow into the calm, happy, and well-behaved dog she is today. She now loves walks, hikes, and being around people and other dogs. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I frequently volunteered with and donated to a local humane society in Corvallis during college. Through their “Doggy Day Out” program, I would take shelter dogs out for the day—whether that meant walks at the park, pup cups, or simply relaxing at home with plenty of cuddles. I always tailored each outing to the dog’s energy level, age, and personality, making sure they felt safe, comfortable, and loved outside of the shelter environment. I’ve also cared for dogs outside my home, including helping raise and train a puppy for a close friend—handling walks, feeding, drop-ins, and daily routines while building good habits from the start. I’m responsible, attentive, and genuinely love working with dogs of all ages, energy levels, and backgrounds. Whether it’s an energetic puppy or a senior dog who needs a gentler pace, I’m committed to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m currently home for the summer in San Clemente and Rancho Santa Margarita through July 28, and will return again starting September 1. During these times, I have full availability and a very flexible schedule. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I carefully follow all routines—feeding, walks, medications, and preferences—so your dog feels as normal and stress-free as possible. I’m very attentive to behavior and body language, especially with dogs who may be anxious or still adjusting. I take precautions on walks, keep environments secure, and always prioritize safety. I also treat your home with respect and keep you updated with photos and communication so you feel confident your pet is in good hands.

“Anu checked in on my dog multiple times for a few days. She was so sweet to him and made sure he had everything he needed. Her updates to me were detailed with a lot of great photos that ensured me my dog was in great hands! Will definitely be booking with her again!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Ladera Ranch
We've trusted Nikki with our cat several times and she is always wonderful. She takes great care of him and sends the most amazing photos and videos, which make being away so much easier. We always come home to a happy, well-cared-for kitty and feel very lucky to have found her.

Olivia saved us when we had another pet sitter cancel on us, mid-booking! She was flexible and was ok with me walking her through everything over the phone since we had already left town. She is very responsible and a great communicator, sending us lots of photos and updating us on how our pets were doing. She took excellent care of our pets and home, and we look forward to booking her for more pet care in the future!
Anran is the BEST cat sitter you can hire! She is nice, pacient and responsible. She always sent us lots of pictures and videos of our cat and was very detailed in her messages letting us know how he was and what he was doing when she visited. Our cat is very nervous and usually hides when a stranger visits, however, when Anran came to meet him the first time he warmed up to her right away. Don't think it twice, Anran is the BEST sitter for your pet. She will treat your furry friend like it was her own.
Sonia was amazing with our cats! 🐾 She brought a calm, loving energy into our home—something we especially appreciated since our cats haven’t been getting along lately. She handled giving medication to both with ease and care, which gave us real peace of mind. Sonia was always on time, sent regular updates with photos, and communicated clearly throughout the visit. We could tell our cats felt safe with her. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ladera Ranch. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
