“Jackie came to walk Eddie within an hour of me sending her request when I had to take myself to the emergency room. I was incredibly grateful for her helping out at such last minute notice. She was very friendly according to my husband who met her and provided great communication and pics while walking our pup. We hope to be able to use her again”

About: I have taken care of animals since I was a kid! I love meeting new animals and caring for them. My experience ranges from boarding animals for 7 days, to doing stop-by visits multiple times per day. I not only love animals but I love giving families the peace of mind that their animal is in good hands. I’m a very caring mother and pet owner who is diligent and flexible. Having pets of my own my whole life, I’ve learned how to care for, engage and love all sorts of animals. I’m looking for families that need help either as a one-time getaway or on a regular basis! I’m happy to help. My goal in life is to have time and flexibility to be with my family, and caring for pets allows me that freedom! Looking forward to helping you and your furry friend. I’m currently available to help in any capacity! Feel free to reach out. I am a full-time mom and have an open schedule. I have a large home with plenty of room for your pet! There are grass areas and plenty of shade. My neighborhood has great trails where we can walk dogs. I love all animals and always treat them well! I will be sure to send you updates and photos if requested.
About: I am a deep lover of animals of all kinds, my experience ranging from pigs, lizards, cats, horses, and everything in between!! I have trained my once very food driven and possessive pitbull rescue to wait for the proper commands and be able to regulate her emotions. I truly believe having patience and love towards all creatures always results in growth, and I’m determined to help in any way I can! It fits in at every moment because it is a way of life. Coexisting with our creatures and being able to give them a happy and fulfilling life is a blessing in itself and done any time I can. Before work walks, cuddling and playing through the day, running errands together, giving them treats. I give each animals plenty of attention, kisses and affirmations. I take them on walks, play games (my pitbull loves tug of war), let them sniff and take their time when needed, keep them safe and in environments they can thrive in, maintain regular feeding schedules, clean up and provide proper care at all times.
“My puppy can be challenging and Shannon did a great job taking care of him and walking him while I was out of town. Great to feel safe leaving your animals with someone!”

“Alex was fantastic! She did a great job walking our 1.5 year old husky mix, even when he saw a scary coyote and got spooked. Will definitely be working with Alex in the future.”

About: Hi! I’ve had a deep love for animals for as long as I can remember. I even thought about becoming a vet, but my heart wasn’t built for the tough stuff. I’d probably cry right alongside the owners. I’ve been around pets my whole life and currently have a dog and two rescue cats. They’re bonded brothers and pretty much run the house. I’m definitely that person who notices the dog before the human every single time. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, from tiny to large breeds, and I always do my best to make sure they feel safe, loved, and totally at ease. Whether it’s a quick drop-in, a walk to get their zoomies out, or an overnight stay, I’ll follow your pet’s routine like it’s my own. My goal is to make your pets feel like you never left and to give you complete peace of mind while you’re away. I don’t just watch pets. I bond with them. You’ll get updates, love, and someone who truly cares Pet care fits naturally into my routine since I already care for my own pets daily. I enjoy spending time with animals and easily work visits or walks into my flexible schedule. In my home or my client’s, I create a calm, safe environment where pets can feel comfortable and cared for. I stick to their routine, respect any rules or preferences, and always prioritize their well-being, comfort, and trust.

“Taylor has been great with our very large dog. He is so excited when he sees her and she is always upfront when she needs to adjust her regular schedule. Would highly recommend!”

About: 3 bedroom single family home with gated yard. We are a dog family with very little boundaries. Couches, cars, and beds are all fair game. Moose is our 6 year old chocolate lab who spends the day playing, sleeping, and watching the neighborhood from the front porch. He often has four legged friends come stay with us when their parents go out of town. He enjoys it so much our family decided to open up our home to other dogs in need of a loving place to vacation. Open and usually clean house with decent size back yard. Your pup will have plenty of attention from all the neighborhood kids that frequent our home. I am a Firefighter and generally have 4 days off every week so I’m available for walks in the local area. My wife is a teacher M-F. Sleepover dogs have access to a gated back yard with plenty of room to run around and a flat dirt area for them to do their business. Plenty of couch, dog beds, and human beds for them to choose from. Room for a crate if that is more comfortable for them. We are near the Doheny beach trail which is our usually run/walk route. We sometimes hit the dog park off Stonehill. Depending on how active our visitors are I’ve taken them on 3-6 mile runs or hikes. Basically the dogs go where we go.
“Alyssa took wonderful care of our puppy. We loved that she was comfortable walking, playing fetch and hanging out with our Teddy Bear. She bonded quickly with our puppy and helped our puppy while we were away at work.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Laguna Niguel
Austin was easy to communicate with, friendly, go-with-the-flow, on time, and very trustworthy. My mother in law felt very comfortable with him and our dogs appreciated his willingness to take them on familiar walking paths. Would definitely recommend and rehire.

Jonathan helped us with dog walks for over a week. Our dogs are picky and take a while to warm up (they are Shiba Inus), but they really seemed to like Jonathan immediately. He was extra communicative and sent great videos, photos and updates. Absolutely would hire Jonathan again.

Brooke is THE BEST. I’m not sure how we got so lucky and finding her but she is an absolute angel with Pets completely reliable on time. Good communication, friendly professional. I reached out to her at the last minute and it couldn’t have worked out any better… so grateful and so appreciative! THANK YOU,Brooke!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
