About: Hi! I’ve had a deep love for animals for as long as I can remember. I even thought about becoming a vet, but my heart wasn’t built for the tough stuff. I’d probably cry right alongside the owners. I’ve been around pets my whole life and currently have a dog and two rescue cats. They’re bonded brothers and pretty much run the house. I’m definitely that person who notices the dog before the human every single time. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, from tiny to large breeds, and I always do my best to make sure they feel safe, loved, and totally at ease. Whether it’s a quick drop-in, a walk to get their zoomies out, or an overnight stay, I’ll follow your pet’s routine like it’s my own. My goal is to make your pets feel like you never left and to give you complete peace of mind while you’re away. I don’t just watch pets. I bond with them. You’ll get updates, love, and someone who truly cares Pet care fits naturally into my routine since I already care for my own pets daily. I enjoy spending time with animals and easily work visits or walks into my flexible schedule. In my home or my client’s, I create a calm, safe environment where pets can feel comfortable and cared for. I stick to their routine, respect any rules or preferences, and always prioritize their well-being, comfort, and trust.
“Emma was amazing with our two dogs while we were on vacation. Our dogs instantly loved her, she was incredibly communicative and sent so many updates/photos/videos. We were able to truly relax knowing they were in good hands and will definitely use her again.”

About: I’m not just a dog lover — I have real hands-on experience. I’ve trained puppies from the ground up and nursed pups back to health that had giardia and parvovirus, so I know how to spot when something’s off and act fast. I’m also an active, outdoorsy sitter; daily walks, runs, and fresh air are part of the routine, not an afterthought. Your dog gets attentive care and an energetic companion. I’m available every day except Sunday mornings — happy to work around your schedule the rest of the week. Must book 24hr before for daycare & overnight services I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible; feeding times, walk schedules, playtime, and any special instructions you provide. I always read and follow the notes and details owners give me to ensure I’m meeting their pet’s specific needs and best practices. Beyond that, I pay close attention to the animal’s cues; body language, energy level, mood so I can adjust in the moment and respond to what they need, not just what’s on a checklist. Whether it’s your home or mine, the goal is the same: a safe, comfortable, low-stress experience for your pet.

About: Ever since I can remember I’ve always had at least one furry friend in my house (dogs and cats). I’ve also dog sat for friends and family over the course of my life. This includes senior dogs and cats that need a little bit of extra supervision (including administering medication) and care. I am currently working part-time 25hrs per week 5-hour shifts and am typically off at around 10pm. Therefore, I have plenty of time to spend with your furry friends before and after when I do work. More than happy to spend the night taking care of your pet(s) as well. Message me for more accurate details pertaining to my schedule as it can vary from week to week. I have a fenced yard, and can crate your dog(s) if needed. I would provide your pets with all the love they can ask for as well as physical stimulation through walks and playtime with pet toys. If applicable, I am also happy to take your pet to a dog friendly park or beach if that is something that would interest you (and your furry friend[s].)

“I highly recommend Alison to care for a family's pets. My wife, children and I were taking a vacation, and we were very concerned about entrusting our pet's safety and care with a stranger. A couple of weeks prior to our departure, we met with Alison for the first time. I immediately felt that Alison would provide great care for our three dogs who range from 35 lbs. to a 115 lbs. German Shepherd. A few days prior to our departure, Alison contacted us to confirm our departure time. On the morning of our departure, Alison arrived at our home promptly and we reviewed the dog's care and feeding schedule. Our departure went very smoothly. During our trip, Alison sent us daily texts, pictures and videos of our happy, well cared for dogs confirming Alison's great care for our dog's and our home. I strongly recommend Alison to care for your pets and your home.”

“Janet stayed at our home for a long weekend to watch our dogs, Milo and Ollie, and we're so thrilled to have someone we can trust take care of them while we're away! Ollie is very nervous around new people and takes time to open up. Janet was super patient with him and kept me posted on how he was doing in their interactions while we were gone. On top of that, Janet is prompt with communication, super professional, and did an excellent job looking after not just the dogs but our home, too. Looking forward to having her back again!”

“Austin was communicative throughout the weekend that he stayed at our house to watch our German shepherd! Our dog isn’t the best on the leash with other dogs, and we totally trusted him knowing he had experience with other dogs like this. Came back to a house that seemed untouched. Would absolutely recommend him and use him again!!”

About: Absolutely adore dogs, and treat every dog I walk or provide care for as my own! Have had many different dogs, spanning various breeds, throughout my life, and as a result am comfortable and experienced with just about any doggo. Every doggo however is unique and has unique care needs and my #1 priority is tailoring my care and approach to your doggo’s unique personality and needs. I also as a free bonus, offcourse if the dog owner consents, enjoy sending the owner a cute little photo or video of their doggo during our walk or a check-in, to brighten their day and give them peace of mind that their doggo is happy and safe and receiving the very best of care. I work from home and have a very flexible routine and work schedule, so I am able to make most dog walks and check-ins happen. I care for each dog like they are my own. Each dog is unique and have unique needs. My #1 responsibility and passion is tailoring my care and approach to each doggo’s unique personality and needs.
“Hannah was Great! She was very caring for my aging dog. Went above and beyond taking care of her. I would definitely use Hannah again. She was respectful of our house and was a joy to work with.”

“Lisa did an amazing job taking care of our dog and our home! She sent daily updates and photos and we felt so good about her being with Rosey! We will definitely use her again ! Her love for animals is evident!”

About: I grew up with dogs and spent 10+ years caring for my own rescue dog, Jack. I spent 5+ years volunteering at an animal shelter, fostering dogs, and taking shelter dogs running. I have completed dog training courses for all of those activities. I understand just how much trust it takes to put your dog in someone else’s care. I’m attentive, patient and affectionate, and I treat every dog as an individual with their own personality, routines and needs. I have extensive experience with senior dogs and the additional care they may require, including administering medications, preparing special meals, assisting with mobility, adapting walks and activities, and following detailed care routines. I’m also very observant of changes in behavior, appetite, energy and comfort. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs—whether that means a good walk, playtime, exploring outside, or simply keeping them company at home. I’m reliable and responsible, and I’ll follow your instructions carefully so your dog can stay as close as possible to their normal routine while you’re away. My apartment is large, spacious, and quiet. I am in the first floor so it is accessible for senior dogs. I have a gated patio which adds security to the front area. My complex is quiet and has walking paths and grassy areas, with very few dog owners - and we keep our dogs separate and away from each other. Your dog will be safe and secure with me. I work remotely and have a flexible schedule, so I’m able to spend plenty of time with the pets in my care. I can easily accommodate regular walks, feeding schedules, medications, playtime and companionship throughout the day. I’m active and enjoy walking, but I’m equally happy to adjust my routine for a senior dog or a pet who prefers a quieter day at home. I’ll do my best to maintain your pet’s normal schedule so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I take caring for someone else’s pet and home seriously. I’ll follow your instructions closely, including feeding, walks, medications, household rules and any special routines your pet is accustomed to. I’m attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, mobility or comfort and will communicate with you if anything seems unusual. I’m also respectful of your home and will keep it clean, secure and cared for while you’re away. I’m happy to provide regular photos and updates so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, comfortable and getting plenty of attention.

1000% YES Austin came to my home to meet my dog before the stay. I felt comfortable right away. So nice. Day of- he let me know when he arrived. Walked my day and how it was going. Gave my dog all the space he needed and by the next day my dog was sleeping and snuggled next to him. Great communication and pictures. Will definitely be using Austin in the future.

Emily is the sweetest person, and she really cares about your dogs. She spent so much time with them and took them on a bunch of walks. I can tell they felt super comfortable with her. Normally my dogs are clingy and a little anxious after I get back home from a trip, because they don’t really bond with the person who is babysitting them, but this time it was different. They were definitely happy to see me when I first got home, but they immediately settled into their normal routine, which tells me that they got enough attention and felt cared for when I was gone. Emily is great, and I highly recommend her.

Matt took tremendous care for our dog and cat while we were gone for the week. He had to administer medication to both our animals multiple times a day but he took care of it like a champ and we came home to zero issues. Thank you again Matt you are the best!

🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 We had an amazing experience with Kyra watching our dog, Cozzie. She went above and beyond throughout the entire stay and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Kyra spent a ton of quality time with Cozzie, giving her lots of love, attention, pets, and care, and it was clear from all the updates and photos that Cozzie was genuinely happy and comfortable with her. We especially appreciated how communicative she was — she sent frequent updates, thoughtful messages, and so many great photos that made us feel connected the whole time. She also took excellent care of our home and left everything clean and well cared for. It’s obvious Kyra truly cares about the animals she watches and treats them like her own. We would absolutely trust her with Cozzie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring sitter!!

Gabriela has taken care of our dog, Blue, a few times now and stayed overnight with him at our house! We highly recommend Gabriela as she takes our dog for multiple walks a day, cares for him, and is very communicative with us during our time away. She sends us updates and photos of our dog while we are gone which is very appreciated.

Thank you so much, Janet! We really appreciated how you rolled with some unexpected plan changes—it made things much less stressful on our end. We also loved receiving a photo update every day, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Thanks again for taking care of everything and for being so communicative throughout.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Laguna Niguel walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Laguna Niguel maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Laguna Niguel choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
