About: I love all animals sooo much, but especially cats. ❤️ I have a calming demeanor that animals are attracted to. Especially when I call there name or names they come right to me I currently am working with horses during the week and would like to add a little pet sitting to my weekends. I enjoy walking dogs or playing with cats. The most important thing is following the owner’s instructions. I understated all pets are different and have different needs. I am reliable and trustworthy.

thank you Garrett! Walked my dogs multiple times in a pinch while i was away for a holiday weekend. He was on time, walked them for the full 30min, and shared photos from each walk. The dogs definitely needed it and he handled the leash reactive dog (to other dogs, men, bikes, etc) well. Thank you again!

Jared was GREAT! Kept me updated the whole time. Sent pics. Offered to take him running. Even let me know my dog might have an oncoming upset stomach (which he did) So my BF was prepared and laid out pads over the carpet. Saved me the headache of having to hire a cleaner or order a rug doctor. Will definitely keep Jared on the list of trusted walkers.

As a lifelong dog owner and experience being a foster dog parent, I understand that every pet has a unique personality and set of needs. My background includes successfully managing dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments, ranging from playful 1-year-old puppies to gentle 13-year-old seniors. About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have been caring for dogs since I was young. Growing up with dogs taught me how important it is to provide not only great care, but also love, attention, and consistency. While attending SMU, I worked for a dog walking company in Dallas, where I gained experience walking dogs of different breeds, sizes, and energy levels. What started as a way to spend time with animals while away at school quickly became one of my favorite hobbies. I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m home for the summer and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pets. I love starting my mornings off right, so I’m available early for walks, drop-in visits, and helping your dog burn off some energy before the day begins. During the school year at SMU, I worked for a dog walking company in Dallas, and what started as a way to spend time with animals quickly became one of my favorite hobbies. Spending time with dogs gave me comfort while I was away from home, and now that I’m back for the summer, I’m excited to continue doing something I genuinely love. Whether your dog needs a walk, playtime, or extra attention while you’re away, I’m committed to providing dependable care and treating them like one of my own. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. My priority is always your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being. I take time to learn each dog’s routine, energy level, and individual needs so they feel secure and cared for while you’re away. Whether we’re out on a walk or spending time at your home, I focus on creating a calm, positive environment and maintaining open communication with pet parents. I know how much our pets mean to us, and I strive to provide the same level of care and attention that I would want for my own dogs.

About: I offer a relaxed and welcoming environment for your pet while you’re away… whether it’s playtime, cuddles or walks, they will be treated like part of the family! I’ve owned cats + dogs my whole life, and really enjoy being active with my own pup. I have ample flexibility w/ my job (fully work from home) that allows for plenty of attention! Your pet will receive all the love and attention they need from me, and my dog Zero, during their stay 🤍 I’m big on safety! My Furbo + security cameras are on at all times, and checked regularly whenever I’m out, so your pet will always be safe! My dog has free range of the living room throughout the day, and is house-trained to use a pee pad. I am totally fine keeping them separate if I need to step out for an errand, or crating your pup, whatever set-up/schedule you are most comfortable with!

Chloe is everything you hope for in a dog walker. She’s caring, punctual, and truly makes the most of every minute based on your dog’s energy level. Our six-month-old Siberian husky has endless energy, and Chloe matches it with real engagement — not a distracted stroll. I’ve seen other walkers glued to their phones; Chloe is the opposite: fully present, attentive, and genuinely invested. Your pup is in good hands.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and have always been super involved in taking care of them. Back home in Michigan, my family has three dogs (a black lab, mountain cur, and German shepherd), so I’m used to handling different sizes and energy levels. Right now I live with my aunt and uncle and help take care of their dog as well. I’m very active and love being outside, so I naturally take dogs on runs, long walks, and spend a lot of time playing with them throughout the day. When I’m watching a dog, I usually keep them on a good routine with exercise, attention, and making sure they’re comfortable. I’m reliable, easygoing, and genuinely enjoy being around dogs, so it never feels like a chore to me. I’m a college student and just started summer break, so my schedule is very open right now. I’m in the Newport area for the next few weeks and can fully focus on pet care. I’m available most days for walks, check-ins, or longer stays, and I’m flexible with timing. Since I don’t have many other commitments right now, I can give your dog a lot of attention and consistency throughout the day. I treat every dog like it’s my own and always make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I follow any instructions you give closely, including feeding, routines, and any special needs. I keep a close eye on dogs during walks and avoid anything that could put them in a bad situation. I’m very attentive, patient, and make sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and care while you’re away.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years, and I currently own and have raised my Border Collie, Luna, since she was 6 weeks old. She’s now 5 years old, fully off-leash trained, highly socialized, and responsive—something that takes a high level of consistency, awareness, and understanding of dog behavior. Because Border Collies are one of the most intelligent and demanding breeds, that experience has shaped how I work with all dogs. I focus on structure, exercise, and calm, confident handling so dogs feel secure and balanced. I’m experienced with dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and temperaments—from high-performance working breeds to older dogs that need a slower pace. I’m also comfortable reinforcing training, managing behavior, and adapting to each dog’s unique needs. My goal is to provide more than just supervision—I offer intentional, high-quality care so your dog stays happy, exercised, and mentally engaged My schedule is very flexible because I work as an artist, author, and entrepreneur, which allows me to structure my days around the dogs I’m caring for. This means your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and will get consistent attention, walks, and engagement throughout the day. I’m available for boarding, walks, and drop-ins, including weekends. I create a calm, structured, and attentive environment where dogs can relax and feel at home. I’m highly aware of behavior, energy levels, and surroundings—especially on walks or in new environments. With my background raising and training a high-energy, intelligent breed, I’m confident managing different personalities and ensuring each dog gets the right balance of activity, boundaries, and rest. I follow your dog’s routine closely and provide regular updates so you always feel connected and confident while you’re away.

About: I've had dogs my whole life; from a Chihuahua to a German Shepard! Last summer I lost my 17 year old baby and I'm not ready to get another dog yet but I have the time and knowledge to watch yours! I volunteer at an animal shelter every week and sometimes I foster. I love going on long walks multiple times a day so it would be a bonus to bring your pup along! I have experience with senior dogs and medicine. I work 4 days a week and I make my own schedule so I can easily do a midday walk even if I'm working that day. If I'm not out walking or working I'm usually just at home reading and would love to have a furry friend next to me. I work Wednesday through Saturday as a hairdresser, I make my own schedule so I can easily schedule mid day walks. Most mornings I walk for 1-2 hours already so I'd love to bring a pup along. After work, I just stay in and read usually so I'd be a great companion. I'm a great house sitter, I'm very chill and clean and respectful. I can take your dogs on walks and also play with them in the houses and truly love them like they are my own.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
