“Jared was GREAT! Kept me updated the whole time. Sent pics. Offered to take him running. Even let me know my dog might have an oncoming upset stomach (which he did) So my BF was prepared and laid out pads over the carpet. Saved me the headache of having to hire a cleaner or order a rug doctor. Will definitely keep Jared on the list of trusted walkers.”

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have been caring for dogs since I was young. Growing up with dogs taught me how important it is to provide not only great care, but also love, attention, and consistency. While attending SMU, I worked for a dog walking company in Dallas, where I gained experience walking dogs of different breeds, sizes, and energy levels. What started as a way to spend time with animals while away at school quickly became one of my favorite hobbies. I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m home for the summer and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pets. I love starting my mornings off right, so I’m available early for walks, drop-in visits, and helping your dog burn off some energy before the day begins. During the school year at SMU, I worked for a dog walking company in Dallas, and what started as a way to spend time with animals quickly became one of my favorite hobbies. Spending time with dogs gave me comfort while I was away from home, and now that I’m back for the summer, I’m excited to continue doing something I genuinely love. Whether your dog needs a walk, playtime, or extra attention while you’re away, I’m committed to providing dependable care and treating them like one of my own. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. My priority is always your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being. I take time to learn each dog’s routine, energy level, and individual needs so they feel secure and cared for while you’re away. Whether we’re out on a walk or spending time at your home, I focus on creating a calm, positive environment and maintaining open communication with pet parents. I know how much our pets mean to us, and I strive to provide the same level of care and attention that I would want for my own dogs.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years, and I currently own and have raised my Border Collie, Luna, since she was 6 weeks old. She’s now 5 years old, fully off-leash trained, highly socialized, and responsive—something that takes a high level of consistency, awareness, and understanding of dog behavior. Because Border Collies are one of the most intelligent and demanding breeds, that experience has shaped how I work with all dogs. I focus on structure, exercise, and calm, confident handling so dogs feel secure and balanced. I’m experienced with dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and temperaments—from high-performance working breeds to older dogs that need a slower pace. I’m also comfortable reinforcing training, managing behavior, and adapting to each dog’s unique needs. My goal is to provide more than just supervision—I offer intentional, high-quality care so your dog stays happy, exercised, and mentally engaged My schedule is very flexible because I work as an artist, author, and entrepreneur, which allows me to structure my days around the dogs I’m caring for. This means your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and will get consistent attention, walks, and engagement throughout the day. I’m available for boarding, walks, and drop-ins, including weekends. I create a calm, structured, and attentive environment where dogs can relax and feel at home. I’m highly aware of behavior, energy levels, and surroundings—especially on walks or in new environments. With my background raising and training a high-energy, intelligent breed, I’m confident managing different personalities and ensuring each dog gets the right balance of activity, boundaries, and rest. I follow your dog’s routine closely and provide regular updates so you always feel connected and confident while you’re away.
“Damariz is amazing with my pup Roo! She’s reliable and responsive. Her experience with large breeds gives me major peace of mind knowing my Great Dane is in good hands. She goes above and beyond making sure my girl is taken care of. Highly recommend Damariz!”

“Chloe is everything you hope for in a dog walker. She’s caring, punctual, and truly makes the most of every minute based on your dog’s energy level. Our six-month-old Siberian husky has endless energy, and Chloe matches it with real engagement — not a distracted stroll. I’ve seen other walkers glued to their phones; Chloe is the opposite: fully present, attentive, and genuinely invested. Your pup is in good hands.”

About: Hi, my name is Candace and I have been a member of Rover.com starting March 21, 2012 from Dog Hosting to my current position as Dog Walker. As a recent college graduate with experience as a home care aide, I am eager to use my skills to provide dedicated pet care, ensuring your furry companion receives the attention and care they deserve while you maintain a balanced lifestyle, and I am available on weekends and holidays to integrate into your daily or weekly routine. Sundays/Mondays- Availability is open anytime Tuesdays/Saturdays- Any time after 3:30pm I know it’s hard to walk your fur babies after work sometimes let me take care of that for you. At the moment I will not be doing any pet sitting services at my place. Unless needed I can go ahead and dog sit at your place, but at the moment I rather just stick to dog walking :)

About: I've had dogs my whole life; from a Chihuahua to a German Shepard! Last summer I lost my 17 year old baby and I'm not ready to get another dog yet but I have the time and knowledge to watch yours! I volunteer at an animal shelter every week and sometimes I foster. I love going on long walks multiple times a day so it would be a bonus to bring your pup along! I have experience with senior dogs and medicine. I work 4 days a week and I make my own schedule so I can easily do a midday walk even if I'm working that day. If I'm not out walking or working I'm usually just at home reading and would love to have a furry friend next to me. I work Wednesday through Saturday as a hairdresser, I make my own schedule so I can easily schedule mid day walks. Most mornings I walk for 1-2 hours already so I'd love to bring a pup along. After work, I just stay in and read usually so I'd be a great companion. I'm a great house sitter, I'm very chill and clean and respectful. I can take your dogs on walks and also play with them in the houses and truly love them like they are my own.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and have always been super involved in taking care of them. Back home in Michigan, my family has three dogs (a black lab, mountain cur, and German shepherd), so I’m used to handling different sizes and energy levels. Right now I live with my aunt and uncle and help take care of their dog as well. I’m very active and love being outside, so I naturally take dogs on runs, long walks, and spend a lot of time playing with them throughout the day. When I’m watching a dog, I usually keep them on a good routine with exercise, attention, and making sure they’re comfortable. I’m reliable, easygoing, and genuinely enjoy being around dogs, so it never feels like a chore to me. I’m a college student and just started summer break, so my schedule is very open right now. I’m in the Newport area for the next few weeks and can fully focus on pet care. I’m available most days for walks, check-ins, or longer stays, and I’m flexible with timing. Since I don’t have many other commitments right now, I can give your dog a lot of attention and consistency throughout the day. I treat every dog like it’s my own and always make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I follow any instructions you give closely, including feeding, routines, and any special needs. I keep a close eye on dogs during walks and avoid anything that could put them in a bad situation. I’m very attentive, patient, and make sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and care while you’re away.

Michelle did an excellent job with my dog Penelope. I hired Michelle for two dog walks and feeding dinner. She arrived on time, told me when she arrived, told me when she was leaving and took pictures and followed all of the instructions exactly. Michelle is professional, friendly and was great with Penelope. I would definitely recommend Michelle for dog walking and sitting.

Bridget has been nothing short of amazing! She goes above and beyond to communicate, take pictures, takes Mr. Bear on different / long walk routes to keep things interesting, and truly treats Bear as if he’s her own. Couldn’t ask for a better person to take care of my canine son 💓

Lea is the best dog walker /pet sitter we have ever found. She is smart, personable, and clearly knows a lot about pets and how to handle them effectively. Belle was so excited to meet her. She asked good questions about Belle, her temperament and health conditions. She immediately engaged with Belle. Belle can’t wait for the next visit. What a find! Book Lea before she is booked solid!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
