About: I have always cared for pets and am a sincere lover of animals. Growing up, my family would foster shelter dogs so I am used to interacting with different dog personalities and breeds. Professionally, I have been a pet sitter for all kinds of pets for 5 years and 3 years on Rover. I have experience working with senior pets, pets with health conditions, and pets with special needs or behavioral challenges. I have received positive feedback that I get along well with even the most skittish or antisocial animals! I have a very calm and patient demeanor and can easily build trust with animals. Safety and wellbeing are my top priority, which is why I am certified in pet CPR and First Aid. I am also currently working on certification for pet training. I care deeply about providing high quality service and ensuring your pets are as comfortable and well cared for as possible. I know inviting a stranger into your home and trusting them to care for your precious furry ones takes a lot of trust, and I do my best to maintain that trust by providing transparent and regular communication. I will care for your pets as if they were my own fur babies! I currently work a remote job so my availability is very open and flexible. I have regular availability during the week day, evenings and weekends. I am happy to work with you to develop a schedule that you are comfortable with and that meets your pets' specific needs. I always aim to spend plenty of quality time with your pets so they feel safe, happy, and cared for. I will come to you in your home and provide the convenience of caring for your pet in the environment they are most familiar with and comfortable in. I know animals thrive with a consistent routine, so I will follow your pet care instructions thoroughly. I care about meeting your pets' specific needs, so I will adapt my service to accommodate any specific requests or concerns. I will also ensure your home is just as tidy as you left it.
About: Hi there, my name is Amanda and I’m so excited to care for your pet! I’m in school at the moment to become an elementary school teacher and am hoping to get some supplemental income (plus some dog and cat snuggles!!). Growing up with cats, I’ve taken care of them from a young age. However, I love and have experience with dogs as well. I’m looking forward to getting to know your pet! Feel free to reach out with any questions and I hope to hear from you soon. My teacher credentialing program is fully online so I can be flexible with my times for visits throughout the day. I will do my best to accommodate last minute requests. I’m also happy to schedule a meetup if you’d like! I will follow any directions and instructions left word for word. I will also make sure to send daily updates so you can vacation / be away from home stress-free!
“Natalee accepted a last-minute walk with my energetic huskies and responded promptly! She was absolutely incredible with them and provided me with so many photos! She went the extra mile in ensuring everyone felt comfortable and secure (including myself) and I look forward to hiring with her again! Highly recommend!”

“Georgia was the best!! She updated me on everything and took a bunch of pictures of their walk. And then at the end she left a cute polaroid of my dog. Definitely recommend and will be using her again!!”

“Dayna was awesome… She came over for an initial meet & greet. We was very communicative, sent pictures & videos while on the walk, and brought my Rottweiler & Pug home completely exhausted, which was the goal! 👏 I would highly recommend Dayna!”

About: Dogs and cats have held a special place in my heart since I was little which has led to me working on my education to pursue veterinary medicine. Their wellbeing is my biggest priority! My happiness comes from seeing animals well taken care of and thriving 🐾 I have several years of volunteer hours spent with cats and 2+ years of dog and cat care at pet hotels and daycares. As I navigate my education I wanted a way to do that in a way that was right for me so I decided to take up pet sitting!! I am currently going to college Mondays-Thursdays; 12:45pm to 5:40pm Mondays and Wednesdays, and 11:10am to ~2:25pm Tuesdays and Thursdays. I have all day availability on Friday through Sunday! :) My care style is personalized to every pet I meet. Depending on the needs of your furbaby I can adjust my routine and services accordingly!!
“Laura arrived on time to greet my anxious barking dog. She was unaffected by his barking and was able to calm him and take him for a nice walk in the park. I am so happy that she was willing to tolerate his anxiety and actually have him enjoy his afternoon. 😊. Thank you Laura!”

“Best dog walker ever. My fur babies were so happy to see Shannon every time she went over for their walks. Shannon is reliable and will take time to play with your fur babies”

“I was a bit skeptical having Vivian walk my 105 German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois dog after I met her. She was quiet and small and my dog knows his commands but sometimes he can be stubborn. She did ask questions about my dog and offered to feed him and water him along with asking where other items for him were at. This was great. Even being a bit skeptical, I still did hire her to walk him. She did great. She showed up consistently for 3 days of walking, took pictures and they looked like they had a good time together. I would hire Vivian again. Thanks Vivian !”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Huntington Beach
Joseph was great with Bowser. He took my advice on how to meet my pup and everything went great! When I asked how things were Joseph got back quickly and reassured me he and Bowser had a good walk. Thank you Joseph for giving him the exercise he needed while we were away.

Jared has been wonderful with our anxious little dog, Noodle! He took the time to sit down and meet her while we chatted about her behavior and needs, and patiently gave her the space to get comfortable with him. He is clearly passionate about his work with pets, and I feel completely at ease knowing my dog is in his good hands. Will definitely be booking more session!

I am SO happy that I made the decision to try out Rover. Skyler is an absolute gem. My Siberian Husky and Chihuahua are difficult dogs to deal with (and do not trust many people), but they LOVE Skyler! They look forward to their play time at the nearby dog park and their walks with her. I have seen a huge change in their behavior ever since she started walking them routinely during the week, while I’m at work. Skyler is flexible, quick with responding, understanding, reliable, punctual, and passionate about animals! I am so grateful for her! I highly recommend her to anyone! 10/10. A+.

Michelle was great throughout the process, from the initial meet and greet to the first walk with Buster. Buster is very shy and Michelle made a point to be take things slowly with him. She remembered all the details of the house as well. I definitely plan on using Michelle again in the future.

LOVE him! Used Jonathon as a dog walker after a minor injury. Great communication and flexibility on timing. But most important, our dog loved him. When he can back the second day, or dog ran over to him as soon as he saw him, eager to go on another walk. Highly recommend.

This was my first time using Rover, so I was a little nervous about leaving my dogs with someone new. But Alexandra immediately seemed sweet, trustworthy, and a true dog lover, and I’m so glad I trusted her! She sent photos during the walk, followed all their needs perfectly, and was super punctual, communicative, and reliable. She even brought a package inside for me. Such a great experience, I definitely recommend her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
