I have a full-time hybrid job with somewhat flexible hours, allowing me to work from home but also have a short commute to Costa Mesa. On the days I make myself available, I am fully available to taking care of your pet!

I understand that most pets like the comforts and routines of their homes. They're familiar with the noises and smells and know how they can signal when they want something. I will make things easier by keeping feeding times and potty/walk breaks consistent with their schedule provided. As a guest I will always respect house rules and will expect an open line of communication with the pet parents.
Information Mike H. would like to know about your pet
I'm open to all breeds and activity levels but I would like to know if there is any aggressive behavior ( especially with other animals or children) so I can plan the care/walking route accordingly. Of course, if they have any medical conditions at all or special diets I'd like to accommodate that as well.
A typical day
I love going on nature walks whether it be in a park, trail or the beach (if the pup is up for such things). I will also throw a ball or a toy and occasionally play a little tag with super high energy breeds!

Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs around me and have been raised, pet -sitted and cared for all ages and a variety of breeds. I raised and trained a boxer and was cared for him at the end when needed special care so I understand the requirements for caring for young and older dogs. I currently live with an older dog who much prefers laying on the couch rather than going for walks so I'm happy to stretch my legs with other dogs!

Mike was excellent! He was great with our Doberman and he assisted with some other odds and ends as we have a few random pets at our place. He was on top of everything and communicated often. We’ll definitely book him for future trips!

Was able to walk my dog last minute! Did a great job
Mike was great— responsive, communicative and dedicated to taking care of Bear while I was at work despite the heavy rain! He was also flexible enough to do a last minute meet and greet before work, which was much appreciated!
