“Rich walker our dog during the holidays. He followed the instructions and schedule and he was very responsible. He was able to come on time on Christmas Eve after he had dinner with his family. He didn’t forget about our dog when one of his family member went to ER. He communicated it well and we adjusted the schedule so that it worked for both of us. I would highly recommend Rich if you are looking for a dog sitter.”

About: I understand what dogs need because I pay attention to the small things. When my own dog, Gorio, gets anxious, I don't just manage it—I anticipate it. Working part time as a surgical technologist, I usually work 3-4 days a week. On my own time I can do mornings on Mondays and Tuesdays I can also do Saturday evenings and Sunday evenings Home Visits: I respect your dog's space and routine. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Fountain Valley
Nicholas is great with Noodle! He dropped by early on the first walk to give her time to get comfortable with him and earn her trust. He’s attentive, responsive and patient with our shy but sometimes stubborn little girl. Very grateful to have him and highly recommend him!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about my dog walker! She took such great care of my dog and was incredibly patient and understanding with him. He is very skittish and isn’t the easiest dog to win over, so gaining his trust takes time and a lot of patience. I truly appreciate that she allowed him to warm up to her at his own pace and never rushed the process. It was so reassuring to see him become more comfortable with her and know that he felt safe and cared for. Her kindness, patience, and genuine love for animals really showed, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she provided. I will absolutely be recommending her to my friends and family, and I will definitely be booking with her again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and patient to care for their furry family member! ❤️🐾

We’ve been using Nadine to walk our two boys, our Dalmatian and French Bulldog, and we couldn’t be happier! She’s always so quick to respond, very communicative, and we absolutely love the photos and updates we get after their walks. She’s reliable, caring, and has become the only dog walker we use. We highly recommend Nadine! ❤️🐾

Elise was a breath of fresh air! I recently moved to Fountain Valley, and my biggest concern was finding someone reliable, trustworthy, and caring to walk my dog (or my whole world, if you prefer). I travel frequently for work and need this service quite often. I met Elise, and she cares for my pup when I’m away. She is a 10-star professional! I can now go on work trips without worrying about my dog, and that’s a huge statement. She’s absolutely amazing!

Lily and Jason have been walking my corgi, Finley, since March, four days a week, and I truly don’t know what I would do without them. They have been incredibly reliable, caring, and flexible. There was one week when I needed extra help with six walks instead of the usual four because I had a wedding, and they were so accommodating and made it work. It means so much to have people I can count on when unexpected things come up. They don’t just take great care of Finley, they genuinely care about him. They even surprised him with a birthday gift, which was such a thoughtful gesture and meant a lot to me. Knowing Finley is in good hands while I’m at work or when something last minute comes up gives me so much peace of mind. I’m beyond thankful to have found Lily and Jason and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, loving dog walkers!

Isaacia was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond what we asked of her and made sure everything ran smoothly without a single issue (and we were gone for a quite a while). Her communication was really good and she provided updates and pictures, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. She handled the loud 4th of July fireworks to keep our dogs inside before things got really loud. She was very reliable from the first meet up, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!!
Highly Recommend Heather! Heather was absolutely fantastic with my pup! She is incredibly reliable, punctual, and communicative. I loved getting her updates and photos while I was away, which gave me total peace of mind. You can tell she truly loves animals and treats them like her own. She is also starting Vet school in the fall. How great is that!? I will definitely be booking her again!

Jared has been wonderful with our anxious little dog, Noodle! He took the time to sit down and meet her while we chatted about her behavior and needs, and patiently gave her the space to get comfortable with him. He is clearly passionate about his work with pets, and I feel completely at ease knowing my dog is in his good hands. Will definitely be booking more session!

I am SO happy that I made the decision to try out Rover. Skyler is an absolute gem. My Siberian Husky and Chihuahua are difficult dogs to deal with (and do not trust many people), but they LOVE Skyler! They look forward to their play time at the nearby dog park and their walks with her. I have seen a huge change in their behavior ever since she started walking them routinely during the week, while I’m at work. Skyler is flexible, quick with responding, understanding, reliable, punctual, and passionate about animals! I am so grateful for her! I highly recommend her to anyone! 10/10. A+.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
