“Nikcole was wonderful! She was very accessible making time to meet my pups before the visit. Flexible with changes in the timing. She provided a loving caring space for our dogs. We were in the middle of a move and she cared for our dogs with attentiveness, frequent walks and care and concern. She was a delight to work with and would highly recommend her!”

About: What sets me apart is the combination of genuine love for animals, consistent reliability, and attention to each pet's unique needs. I don’t just watch dogs—I build trust with them. I take the time to learn their routines, quirks, and what makes them feel safe and happy. Whether it’s a playful pup or a shy senior, I adjust my care to suit their personality. I also keep owners updated with photos and check-ins, so they feel just as at ease as their dog does. For me, it’s not just a job—it’s a responsibility I take seriously and a joy i look forward to every time. I work from home full-time, which gives me the flexibility to provide consistent care and attention throughout the day. My fiancé is also home, so between the two of us, there’s always someone around to walk, play with, or cuddle your pup. Our home is calm, pet-friendly, and we both love having animals around—it’s honestly a joy, not a chore. Pet care fits perfectly into our routine and brings a lot of happiness to our day! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or the client’s, my priority is always making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In my home, I create a calm environment with plenty of space to play, rest, and get attention throughout the day. I stick closely to their usual routines—feeding, walks, meds, whatever they need.
“Had to do a last minute booking and Alexis was able to accommodate us and even did a last minute extension due to the evacuation, she is a literal life savor. 100% would rebook in the future.”

“Vanessa was great. We had a family emergency and were out of town. She allowed a meet and greet on short notice. She was very communicative and helped care for my timid dog. It helped me be more at ease knowing my dog was in good hands while tending to our family and being gone for a whole day.”

About: I have had an assortment of animals my whole life, taking care of innocent furry creatures is one of my passions as a caregiving person. I'm very patient, big or small, your dogs will be in safe hands with me. My schedule is flexible and open to pet care, I work from home typically and it leaves me available to offer full time care more often than not. I have a yard that's good for daily use and a park nearby. I have a whole separate room for animals boarding is separate from my animals, and I'm home often enough (especially when boarding) to ensure full time care and safety
“Woody seemed happy upon my return. It was a tough start due to my misunderstanding of where he would be. my home or Terrys. It worked out and all was well. Appreciated photo video.”

“Jennifer and her crew were absolutely amazing with Mr Admiral. He had so much from playing with gunner and her little! From the constant communication throughout the day, the wonderful pictures and videos she loaded us with. To her following up and making sure everything went to our satisfaction with his puppy care. We've been on this app for a little short of 3 months and theyve been such a breath of fresh air. Do not hesitate to leave your critters with Jennifer, you will not regret it! We look forward to booking with you again in the future”

“Cheryline was incredibly friendly, flexible, and made the whole process so easy. She took great care of Charlie, and I had peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.”

About: Hi there! I have 6+ years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds and ages, providing walking, feeding, bathing, and more. My home is extremely pet-friendly as I have a 6 year mini doodle (Benzi!) that loves to socialize with other pets (if yours permits). He has a slight favoritism for dogs bigger than him but he welcomes all friends. I've had Benzi since 2020 and trained him myself as we were locked in quarantine together. Make a circle with your arms and say "Circus!" to Benzi, and he'll jump through your hoop hands (it's his party trick). I've cared for my friends and family's dogs (and one cat) as they were on long periods of break or holidays. He is up-to-date on all vaccines including Canine Covid and Canine Influenza. I walk Benzi twice a day, in the morning from 8-9:30am to the evening 7pm - 8:30pm. I take him out to pee/poo additional around 2-3:30p. I feed Benzi after each walk. Since I WFH, during my own breaks, Benzi and I play around and I ensure he gets stimulated and tired from play. If he doesn’t want to play and wants to sleep, I respect that. Benzi meets other dogs in the neighborhood and plays with them, as well as greeting neighbors. I ensure that the home I own is pet-friendly. Everything is non-toxic for animals — plants, cleaners, etc. I do not have a yard or a fence, but I live on the third floor of a gated community that is extremely animal friendly and has other dogs living here.
“Mai was very accommodating to both our pups as well as our family! Lots of communication and photos/videos… Everything we needed to feel comfortable for our first visit!… we will definitely book with Mai again! Great Rover!”

“This was our first time leaving our dogs with someone new (and our first time booking through Rover), so we were a bit nervous, but everything went so smoothly. Brenda is absolutely lovely, sent lots of pictures, and took great care of our pups.”
About: I've own dogs all my life and owned cats for 5 years they were old rescues until they passed. I use to foster cats and dogs from a local shelter. I work my job whenever I want so I will not have any complications while watching your fur babies!!! Thank You for Reading through and please don’t be afraid to ask questions! I work a hybrid job and when I do work it’s for a max of 5 hours so scheduling won’t be an issue for me. I am not able to host any animals as my own dog is not dog friendly but going to your houses to either play with them and let them out there, stay in your home or to just pick them up and take them for a walk. If you are wanting them to go to the dog park I would gladly take them there as well. If there is a specific way they spend their day or how they do things I will follow that to the bone. I look forward to meeting your Fur babies.
“Crystal was wonderful in preplanning Gryff's visit. I appreciate the no-show experience and being able to enjoy the area to familiarize my boy so he'd be comfortable with his new sitter and neighborhood. The area is perfect for Gryff: sunny, grassy, and so much room for activities. Crystal took great photos and took the time to not just watch Gryff but to get to know him and make sure he's comfortable. I'm truly happy with the service we received. We are happy with Crystal for our future dog-sitting needs!”

About: Hi my name is Natalie! I am 24 years old. I have 3 years of experience working with dogs and cats in daycares, house sitting, and an animal hospital. I am here to help you and your fur babies. My schedule is tailored to be sure I am able to care for your pets. I am excited to work with you! I love to run around the yard playing outside with your dogs. I make sure they get plenty of rubs and exercise such as walks.
“Annalie is a great dog sitter to my puppy Bella. Bella remembered her from the time before and was excited to see her. Annalie provided me with photos of Bella while out on walks. She is the only dog sitter I will use for Bella.”

Goose absolutely loved his time with Janice! She was so friendly and professional. She helped us out so much caring for Goose while we were at Channel Islands NP. It was such a relief knowing that Goose was well cared for! We will definitely pick Janice again when we are in the area again.

Taffy enjoyed her time w/ you which was a big relief for me as this was the first time she had been away from me in the year since I adopted her, especially being in someone else's home. She had been abandoned by her previous owner, so I was anxious this would work out. I now feel comfortable if I need to place her in day care or board her for a time, knowing she'll be fine. Thank you Diana.
Chris is the best dog sitter! My dog Bennett is a very high-energy 1-year-old Dalmatian, and he can definitely be a lot, so I’m always a little nervous about leaving him with just one person and potentially exhausting them. Chris (and Dallas) handled him like pros and seemed completely unfazed. He took Bennett to the dog park multiple times to burn off energy, played with him and the other dogs, helped him work through some snappy moments, fed him dinner, and even let him relax on the couch with him. Bennett had a great day and I would absolutely trust Chris with him again! 🐾 Thank you!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Fountain Valley commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
