“My dog Kermit stayed with Mia and absolutely loved it. He had the best time and was cared for exceptionally :) Mia sent me updates and pictures throughout his stay and that really gave me a peace of mind. Thank you Mia!”

“Kiki had an absolute blast with Nathan, Paula, and their adorable daughters during her stay! It was so nice seeing the photos of Kiki having a blast with the family throughout the day—whether it was playing at the beach or curling up on the couch for some snuggles. Thanks to Nathan and Paula’s care and attention, I was able to fully enjoy my time at Disneyland. I will definitely be trusting them with Kiki next time I’m in the area!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to sweet seniors. I’m experienced with crate training, giving medications, and helping shy or anxious pups feel at ease. I treat every dog like family and always focus on keeping them happy, safe, and loved. Pet sitting fits naturally into my routine—I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I’m able to give pets plenty of attention, playtime, and care throughout the day. Whether it’s walks, snuggles, or sticking to their feeding schedule, I make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I always stick closely to their routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I make sure they get plenty of attention, regular walks, playtime, and affection. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of the space and follow all instructions carefully. In my home, pets have a cozy, safe environment where they’re treated like family.
About: I’ve had pets my entire life and have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments — from small breeds like Pomeranians to large dogs like German Shepherds. I’m especially comfortable working with active and high-energy dogs, making sure they get enough exercise, structured walks, and engaging playtime to keep them happy and balanced. I also have experience with anxious or sensitive dogs. Two years ago, I adopted a rescue dog, which taught me patience, consistency, and how to build trust while helping a dog feel safe in a new environment. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and needs, and I always aim to create a calm, safe, and loving environment. I treat every pet as if they were my own. I work part-time with a flexible schedule and am available to spend time with your pet at a time that works well for both of us. I live in an apartment complex near a park, and there’s also a dog park on-site. My dog is very friendly and gets along well with others.
“Kaela was wonderful with Shaka and we will definitely leave him with her again. She is thoughtful and kind with the puppy and he’s excited to see her when I drop him off in the morning. 10/10 great dog sitter!”

“Thomas was super accommodating and very friendly! He sent pictures through my pup’s stay and ensured my dog was well taken care of. I was coming from out of town but would come to him again when I’m back in the area!”

“Vi is a wonderful attentive caregiver for doggies. Lovely household setting makes you feel at ease. Very patient with our high anxiety German Shepherd. Vi was even able to point out an issue with our dogs paw we had not yet noticed.”

“Ellie seemed to bond with Wendi immediately and Wendi seemed to be kind and attentive. I believe Ellie had a positive experience and we would definitely use Wendi again. Terry Flood”

“Karen was able to accommodate our last minute booking. And she sent us multiple photos during the day, it was really sweet to look at the . I could tell Batman had a wonderful day with his new friends in their yard and Karen also treated him with a big toy. Would definitely recommend Karen if your dog needs someone to take care of them when you are away for travels”

“Kermit loves Jeff, Keersi and their doodle Scuba! Best sitter of all time. They have taken such good care of my dog and I feel at ease knowing that he is in such good hands. If Kermit could have it his way, he would hangout with them everyday! Couldn’t be happier and truly am so thankful for them”

About: Hi! I’m Miranda and I’m an animal lover who grew up with two dogs. I’ve also been a cat sitter for my neighbor’s cats for the past two years, and have experienced with house sitting! I’m familiar with caring for both dogs and cats with lots of love, attention, and patience. I treat all pets like family because that’s what they deserve.💕💖 I'm a college student with a super flexible schedule, so I'm available most days and all day, including evenings and weekends if something comes up last minute. I love taking dogs on walks; our community has a great dog park! As a runner, I have plenty of energy to keep up with playful dogs🐶🦴. Whether it’s running around, throwing a ball, or just hanging out, I’ll make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and never bored.
“Bailey was awesome! She was very kind and assuring that my little dog, JJ, would be in good hands. She definitely put me at ease and stayed in touch to let me know JJ was ok. I highly recommend Bailey if you need someone reliable and especially someone who obviously loves dogs!”

About: I have been a dog lover my whole life! Over the last 13 years, I’ve raised my Jack Russell Chihuahua mix from puppy to healthy senior. Like most millennials, I bought the house with a yard for my dog! I work from home in the tech industry, which allows me to spend all day with your pups, giving them attention throughout the day, taking them for regular walks and potty breaks, and tending to their needs. I live on a quiet block with a peaceful enclosed backyard. I would love to host your fur babies! Full time work from home, flexible schedule that allows for multiple potty breaks and walks. My dog usually walks 3 times a day (15 min each), which I could easily incorporate an additional dog to the walks. The back door is kept open weather permitting for dogs to sniff, sunbathe, and explore. Each pet’s care is unique! Whether that is walking them alone, specific dietary needs, or toys that are off limit. I work closely with you and your pet to tailor to their needs, and ensure a happy and comfortable stay. I always suggest a meet and greet prior to first stay, so we can review your expectations, learn more about how to best communicate with your pet, and ensure we are on the same page for care needs.
“Nichole was amazing! It was our pup’s first time with her, and she sent pics and videos throughout the stay. Trooper loved her and is looking forward to his next stay. We can’t recommend Nicole enough!”

“This is the second time we leave our puppy with Emily. When he recognized her he got soo excited and the moment she told him let’s go play he immediately wanted to go to her place 😂. We are so happy we found Emily she is great and treats our puppy very well 💕 Thanks Emily!!”

“Damariz took great care of my foster pups and kept them entertained all day so I could have a party without my guests being growled at. lol. They’re still adjusting. But Damariz and her sister were so good with them, 15 minutes in, the grumpy man was cuddling with her. They came home super happy. Thanks so much Damariz”

I truly appreciated the love, attention, and care Chiaki provided throughout the day. She kept me updated with photos and videos, which I thoroughly enjoyed and greatly appreciated. It gave me great peace of mind knowing that my doggy was in such good hands. Thank you for making her feel comfortable, happy, and loved. I couldn’t have asked for better care!
We chose Monica because it was clear from the start how much she cares about the dogs she watches. She took the time to learn about Tony’s personality and needs so she could make sure he’d be comfortable in her home and around other dogs. Tony had a great stay and came home happy and tired. We especially appreciated the positive socialization opportunities he had while he was there. We’d definitely book with Monica again!

Jeff and Keersi are truly the best sitters I could ever ask for. I’ve trusted them with my dog Kermit for years now, and every single time he stays with them, I know he’s in the most loving and capable hands. They treat him like part of their family, and it shows. Kermit gets so excited every time we pull up to their place, which says everything. They’re incredibly attentive, responsible, and communicative, and I always feel at ease knowing they’re on top of everything. Their dog Scuba is also the sweetest companion. Kermit absolutely adores him, and they get along so well. It’s like a little vacation for Kermit every time he stays there. I can’t recommend Jeff and Keersi enough. If you’re looking for sitters who will genuinely love and care for your dog as if it were their own, they are it.

Jessica was great with our 6 month old puppy Wilbur! Even with his frequent bathroom breaks she gave him lots of attention and love. We really appreciated the pictures updates and communication throughout. We would be lucky to have Jessica take care of Wilbur again!

There is something very special about people who love dogs, and hand Marisela met our dog Zoe with a treat in hand. When we had forgotten that we had booked her overnight, she reminded us and it helped us with our TinyFest event so much as we were main coordinators. She sent us pictures and video of our dog in her happy state, even though she has a lot of separation anxiety, and Marisela was perfect at giving her a wonderful safe place to be. We would book her again anytime can’t wait till next year.

Chris is the best dog sitter! My dog Bennett is a very high-energy 1-year-old Dalmatian, and he can definitely be a lot, so I’m always a little nervous about leaving him with just one person and potentially exhausting them. Chris (and Dallas) handled him like pros and seemed completely unfazed. He took Bennett to the dog park multiple times to burn off energy, played with him and the other dogs, helped him work through some snappy moments, fed him dinner, and even let him relax on the couch with him. Bennett had a great day and I would absolutely trust Chris with him again! 🐾 Thank you!

Hillary was absolutely wonderful with my pup. She handled all communication promptly and gave me a heads up when it was needed. My pup was well fed and even felt comfortable enough to take a swim and cuddle! I cannot think of a better sitter for her. My pup is a handful, but Hillary really rose to the challenge. We will be back.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Santa Ana Heights commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
