“Sunny was very easy to work with, we like the fact that every pet that comes to her house is welcome to use her furniture. Especially my englishbulldog he loves to sit on the couch. I will come back to Sunny the next time we go to the Huntington beach area.”

About: I grew up with dogs during my school years, which taught me how expressive, emotional, and communicative dogs truly are. I’m a very patient and observant caregiver who pays attention to each dog’s mood, comfort, and needs. I believe dogs always tell us what they want, and I do my best to make them feel understood and supported. I offer overnight boarding, daily walks, playtime, and gentle grooming. My goal is to create a safe and loving environment where every dog feels relaxed, happy, and cared for. I currently work remotely, so I have plenty of time each day to care for pets, take them for walks, brush them, play with them, and keep them company. If you plan to drop your pet off at my home, the best hours are between 8:00am–10:00pm. If you prefer pick-up or drop-off services, I can come to you between 10:00am–5:00pm. I’m very flexible and will always do my best to accommodate your schedule. I currently do not have any pets at home. I live in a beautiful, pet-friendly luxury apartment in Huntington Beach with large floor-to-ceiling windows and plenty of natural sunlight. Most pets who stay with me love relaxing by the windows and sunbathing. Our community is extremely dog-friendly, with its own dog park, a large grassy area right outside, and the HB beach just across the street. It’s a wonderful environment for both dogs and cats to relax, play, and feel comfortable during their stay.
“My goldendoodle had the best time with Sandra and her family! My baby is a very shy guy and he thrived in the care of Sandra. He had so much fun and it was really comforting being updated throughout the day with pictures and videos! Will definitely be booking with Sandra again :)”

“Kaizen did so great with our pup! Took him out for multiple walks and gave me updates throughout the day. So glad I went to him and will definitely be using him again!”

“Daniella and her husband were so great! We had a last-minute trip to the beach for our son’s birthday, but our puppy hasn’t been socialized enough for the dog beach yet so we needed someone to watch him. We found Daniella on the app and they were able to take Maddox in within an hour. They were so kind to us and patient with our puppy and made sure to send pictures and keep us updated for the afternoon.”

“Cici emanates kindness and ease! She is so good with pups and took excellent of my sweet, then 9 week girl. She kept me up to date and was excellent in communication and photos. Definitely using her again!”

About: I’ve loved and been around dogs my entire life and caring for them truly comes second nature to me. I grew up in an animal loving home and had my own dog Leo for 12 amazing years, so I understand firsthand how much trust it takes to leave your furry baby in someone else’s care. I treat every dog like my own and always focus on making them feel safe, happy, and loved. I also volunteer regularly at animal rescues and shelters, where I work with dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. This has given me hands on experience with everything from energetic puppies to shy or anxious dogs who need a little extra care and confidence building. I personally trained my own dog from a young age, so I’m comfortable reinforcing basic commands, maintaining routines, and handling different behaviors calmly and confidently. Whether your pup needs fun, an active walk, a little structure, or just extra snuggles and reassurance, I’m happy to tailor care to their unique personality. I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and attentive to detail—I’ll always keep you updated with photos and notes so you can feel at ease while you’re away. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and loved every step of the way. I work from home doing wedding and event design, which gives me a flexible, laid back schedule so I have plenty of time to spend with your dog! I love getting outside, whether it’s a leisurely neighborhood stroll or an energetic beach walk, and I enjoy making every outing fun and safe. Being home most of the day also means your pup will have company, attention, and plenty of love whenever they need it. I live in an extremely dog friendly apartment community right across from the beach, with two fully enclosed dog parks one for larger dogs and one for smaller dogs plus multiple clean potty areas. My home is on the 3rd floor with elevators, so stairs aren’t an issue if your dog prefers to avoid them. Inside, we have plenty of space for your dog to feel comfortable, whether they like a large dog bed, a crate, or just room to lounge. We also have a dog door that leads to a spacious patio where your pup can safely relax and soak up the sun. I prioritize safety at all times, whether we’re on walks, at the dog parks, or hanging out at home. Your dog will always be supervised, cared for, and comfortable in a secure environment.
“Need to rant and rave about May and Zac. OMG so glad we selected their services. From the moment we communicated, we felt confidant with them. They expressed a level of care and attention a pet owner could only ask for. They went above and beyond. We dropped off our pup and we felt assured during the greeting. May followed up with updates during pups stay. What can we say, from start to finish, the experience was above and beyond our expectation. Looking forward to future visits!”

About: Dog sitting is something I truly enjoy because caring for dogs has always been a big part of my life. I’m a devoted dog mom to two senior pups whom I raised and trained from the time they were tiny, so I understand the full spectrum of dog care—from energetic puppy stages to the patient, gentle support seniors need. I’ve also taken care of many different dogs for friends, neighbors, and family, including Golden Retrievers, Yorkies, Pitbulls, Chihuahuas, and mixed breeds of all sizes and personalities. Whether a dog is shy, playful, high-energy, or needs special attention, I know how to make them feel safe, loved, and understood. Working from home gives me the time and flexibility to be fully present for the dogs I care for. I offer plenty of walks, potty breaks, play sessions, and cuddles throughout the day. My goal is to make your dog feel completely comfortable—just like they would with family. I should dog sit because I treat every pup like my own, provide reliable and attentive care, and make sure each dog is happy, relaxed, and well-loved while you’re away. I work full-time remotely, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to be home throughout the day. This makes it easy for me to give your pets consistent care, attention, and companionship. I take regular breaks in the morning, afternoon, and evening—perfect for walks, potty breaks, feeding, and playtime. Because I’m at home all day, your pet will never be left alone for long. I’m able to follow their routine closely and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for from morning to night. provide attentive and personalized care for pets in your home, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Depending on your pet’s needs, I can handle walks, feeding routines, administering medications, playtime, and even baths. I make it a priority to give lots of attention, companionship, and affection, so your pets feel happy and secure while you’re away.
About: I run every morning and night and can match your dog’s pace on walks or jogs. With your approval, I will love to take your dog to dog beach(please let me know). Almost everyday I work with around 10-15 dogs disabled and rescues(the unstoppable dogs feel free to look them up). My daily work with disabled and rescue dogs has strengthened my patience and adaptability, and I take pride in providing calm, compassionate care for dogs with unique needs. Just being theese needs/ quirks to my attention (or I’m pretty good at figuring them out) and I can accommodate for your pup. Also I accept most bookings but I am very open to longer bookings to build a strong relationship with your pup for future bookings. My rates are a bit higher because I put everything into giving your dog the best experience. As an active 20-year-old who truly loves dogs, I’ll treat yours like my own. Since my family isn’t ready for another dog yet, caring for yours fills that gap. I’ll make sure they get plenty of adventure too—whether that’s exploring cool parks or hikes in laguna(if that is suitable for your dog), or enjoying a trip to the dog beach. I will watch any dogs but I highly encourage owners who have high energy and need a lot to tire them out because I will be the best sitter for your dog( and we will both have a blast). I am a 2nd year college student at OCC, most of my classes are online and I never have class for more than 3 hours. I live at 2 houses,1 a house with gated grass backyard and the other a gated community apartment with a large dog park and friendly dog environment. My house is full of old dog toys and I have a dog bed that I wash after each stay.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Huntington Beach
Sung was amazing. He was kind enough to work with my schedule for daycare and when there, my pups seemed to settle in enough to eat on the first day (a very rare occurrence and an indication of feeling safe). I’m so grateful and hope to treat him / his family as the go to solution while my husband and I are in HB.

Goose absolutely loved his time with Janice! She was so friendly and professional. She helped us out so much caring for Goose while we were at Channel Islands NP. It was such a relief knowing that Goose was well cared for! We will definitely pick Janice again when we are in the area again.

Abbey was very kind and sweet. She asked all the necessary questions to understand his personality and had all the essentials to make him comfortable. I felt great leaving my pup with her. She kept me updated and even sent me videos. I will definitely rebook with her and would recommend her.

My goldendoodle had the best time with Sandra and her family! My baby is a very shy guy and he thrived in the care of Sandra. He had so much fun and it was really comforting being updated throughout the day with pictures and videos! Will definitely be booking with Sandra again :)

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
