“Ashley has a heart of gold and I felt as if my puppy was with family. She came home tired from a good day of affection and play after a great day and I am looking forward to her next stay! Thank you Ashley and family! ♥️”
About: Hello, this is Joey! I have always had a fondness for dogs throughout my life. I have helped my extended family with watching their elderly dog, who has had a lot of problems with most people but she really likes me. I make sure to approach all pets with kindness and acceptance. Regardless of the challenge, I want to help out pets and seeing dig smiles fills me with joy! I currently work from home with a flexible schedule. Whenever I am needs, I will do my best to accommodate their wishes. As long as you give me some ample time, I will make my schedule work for you! I live with my dog in my apartment but my husband and I always make sure to take her out for walks, play with her, and take her to the dog park to help keep her fit. For my extended family’s elderly dog, I make sure to watch her closely, give her easy to eat snacks, and take her into the backyard to get some exercise. I never rush her and make sure to wait for however long she need.
“I was so lucky to get Rebecca to take care of my 5yr old Golden while we went for our vacation. She took care of my golden so very well. Rebecca send daily updates and pictures. Thank you Rebecca again.”

“Hanah is wonderful & took such good care of my boy, Bruce. She’s a very good communicator & would send updates through out the day. Bruce got along with Evan & had such a good day. I was so happy with her care, I already booked additional days with them. They took the stress out of my day by caring so well for my boy. Very happy with Rover for helping me to find them.”

About: I grew up with dogs and currently have 2 cats. One of my cats is a senior (almost 20 years old) so I do have experience caring for a senior pet. I love animals and will treat yours as my own! I would prefer dogs who are kid friendly. About this sitter: My name is Tessa and I'm a stay-at-home mom of 3. I love animals and have 2 cats myself! I would love to make your dog a part of our family for the day or longer! Regarding my cats: I am able to keep my cats separate from your dog, if you are concerned about that. I think it’s best to keep them separate to avoid any issues. I put my cats in my primary bedroom upstairs along with all their stuff and they are perfectly fine! But if your dog is cat friendly, I don’t mind letting them interact a bit. My senior cat is just a little freaked out by high energy dogs but she calms down after a bit. My younger cat is probably more open to dogs, she’s very friendly and mellow. Either way, I’m happy to accommodate! I drop my 3 kids off at school Monday-Friday and I am done with that around 8:30am. I pick up my youngest at 1:40 and my middle child at 3pm. So I will have about 4 hours each day until pick up my youngest. I am also available most weekends. Just message me and will do my best to accommodate your schedule. We live in a 4 bedroom condo and I have a fenced in patio and plenty of walking space throughout my neighborhood. Your dogs will feel safe and right at home! I will also make sure that your dogs are safe and cared your dog is in my home!
“Molly was a great sitter for our baby Chanel. We can tell she really cares about the dogs she watches. We loved that she sent us pictures of our dog while we were away. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter!”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I’ve looked after pets of all kinds—from playful dogs to cats, rabbits to birds of all kinds, other small animals and fish. I make sure each one feels safe and comfortable. My goal is to give every pet the same affection and attention they’d get at home. I am an older adult, retired registered nurse, animal lover who has an open schedule and a big heart ready to dedicate to pet sitting Safety, trust, and comfort are the foundation of my pet care. I’m dedicated to providing a secure and nurturing environment, whether I’m caring for your pets in your home or welcoming them into mine. I follow all care instructions carefully, respect your home and privacy, and create a calm space where pets can feel safe, happy, and loved.
“One of the nicest people I’ve ever met. So kind and understanding. I had to cancel last minute and she was so great. I’m really looking forward to taking my Lucy to see her some day.”

“Olivia was great with both of our dogs! They came home happy and tired. She sent updates and photos throughout their stay and had really great communication the whole time. It was clear they were well taken care of. Thank you Olivia!”

“This was Cookie’s first time staying with a sitter, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we met Helen, we felt at ease—she’s warm, kind, and so easy to talk to. She treated Cookie like her own and kept us updated with sweet messages and photos that truly gave us peace of mind. It’s never easy leaving your furry family member with someone new, but with Helen, we felt completely safe. We’re so grateful to have found her, and we’ll definitely be reaching out again. Thank you, Helen, for taking such loving care of our girl.”

About: In 2017 i meet my boyfriend, who has many pets. I’ve taken care of both of his German Shepards (mom & dad) & their litters. Also two chihuahuas(mom & dad) & their babies. Also looked after five cats. I am definitely an animal lover! I would be available any day and time you need me. It would be great to have a fur babies company and get out with them! I live in my apartment, which I keep very tidy. I find that it helps when I bring an animal over. Love to make them feel as home and comfortable as possible.
“Nancy and Richard were so accommodating with our puppy. She loved playing ball with them and sight seeing from their patio. They were very gracious in dealing with the high energy that comes with caring for a puppy! We hope to book with Nancy and Richard again!”

“It was our first time using Rover. Our fur baby is only 2 months. He’s not potty trained and never been outside our house with strangers. Holly was very patient and sweet to him. She was very communicative and sent updates and pictures. She went above and beyond taking him out, bathing him, giving him treats and cuddling him since that’s all he’s used to at home. She was also flexible with us and accepted our reservation the night before. We will definitively reach out to Holly again when we need someone to care for Oreo.”

About: I have taken care of dogs of all kids kinds, big and small since I was 16. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk, feed, bathe and board overnight their pets. I'm currently in school until 230p (Mon -Fri) and have plenty of time to play and walk your pups. I'm available for boarding on weekends. I have a fenced yard to keep your fur baby safe. I also have big park close to my home with walking paths and big green spaces for your pet to enjoy.
“Patricia is absolutely fantastic! She was a true life saver when we got our puppy, not realizing how young the puppy was and that it couldn't be created yet while we were at work. She understood that the puppy would take more attention and care than some of her other clients and Patricia was very committed to giving our pup what she needed. She also gave us some great tips for first time puppy owners. Another great thing is her scheduling for drop off and pick up is very flexible. We continue to use her although our girl is spending more time at home. We appreciate her very much.”
About: Dogs have always been a part to my life since I was little. My current boy is a sweet and gentle rescue from Korea. I live in a spacious townhome with a backyard so your dog will have plenty of attention and space to run around. Finding the right person is the most important part, so from walking to pet sitting, I am a patient, compassionate, and knowledgable choice. If you have specific instructions for your dog, I always make it my priority to review carefully and follow precisely. Expect lots of photo and video updates when you book with me😊 Since I work remotely, I’m home most of the day and love being able to give dogs plenty of attention and companionship. I only take one Rover client at a time (alongside my dog Prince), so your pup will get lots of care and undivided attention. Prince is very friendly and social, so your dog will have a sweet, playful buddy to keep them company too. I live in a spacious townhome with a fenced patio for safe outdoor breaks. I’m very intentional about creating a calm, secure space where dogs can feel comfortable and relaxed. I follow your care instructions closely and treat every dog like my own, making sure they feel safe, understood, and well cared for. If your dog has medications, supplements, or any special requirements, I’m extremely detail oriented and happy to accommodate. I set timers and stick closely to feeding schedules, potty routines, and any specific instructions to ensure consistency and peace of mind while you’re away.

100% will always recommend Rebecca! From beginning to end she provides updates and photos of our dogs making sure we know what is going on and how they are doing! Our dogs always return to us very happy and calm. We are lucky to have someone we trust with our dogs and pays attention to their individual needs!

Beth and Sean (and Sunny) welcomed Kenzie into their home for a couple of daytime sittings. They sent plenty of updates and pictures of her stay, which was great. Very appreciative that they accepted a booking on short notice, as well. Thank you for caring for her!

My husband and I were sooo nervous to leave our baby with a stranger for the first time but twinkle was so warm and welcoming. Our puppy was nervous when we left but shortly after we received photos of him looking so happy! Twinkle sent us photos throughout his stay and I could tell he was totally comfortable, happy and content with her. I am so grateful for her taking in our baby and making him so comfortable.

Dalton and Mariela were fantastic. I needed a last-minute dog sitter because of work, and they were kind, responsive, and quick to help. They took great care of my dog, kept me updated with photos, and always replied quickly, which gave me peace of mind. He clearly had a great time and was very well cared for. I really appreciated their help and would absolutely recommend them. I’ll definitely use them again in the future.

This was Winston's first visit with someone since I adopted him 8 months ago and I was hesitant on how he would do. It didn't take long for him to warm up to Molly and it gave me the reassurance knowing not only did I choose the right sitter, but that I also chose someone who is so kind, understanding, patient and loving towards him. It puts me at ease knowing he is in good hands and I look forward to our next visit.

Our dog, Lucy, returned home after a day with Ema and three other doggie friends content and at ease. Ema was great about sending videos and pictures of Lucy throughout the day. In one picture Lucy was happily lying next to Ema, completely relaxed. Ema also took the time to ask about Lucy's habits and needs, which I appreciated. We are happy to have found Ema thru Rover and look forward to Lucy having more chances to spend time with Ema and her two doggie family.

I have consistently had great experiences with Avancon!. From the very beginning, they made our puppy feel safe, comfortable and completely at home. Our pup can be a little shy and unsure around new people and dogs, but their patience and kindness truly made all the difference. What impressed us most was how they helped our pup gradually get used to playing with other dogs. They were thoughtful about introductions and made sure every interaction was positive and stress-free. My puppy is not only more confident but actually super excited to get there and socialize! He literally jumps out of my arms to get into their house lol We receive updates, photos, and messages, which gives us so much peace of mind. It is clear that he is being well cared for. We couldn't have asked for a more attentive, responsible, and compassionate sitter. If you are looking for someone who will treat your dog like their own and help them grow socially and emotionally, this is the place. We are beyond grateful and will continue to be clients.

Always Welcome!" – Another Great Stay We just picked Mina up from another stay with Ilene, and it’s clear she has found a second home there. Ilene and her husband both mentioned that Mina is always welcome in their house and that she gets along beautifully with the other dogs. It’s such a relief to have a sitter where no issues are noted and our pup is genuinely enjoyed. Ilene provides a safe, fun, and welcoming environment. We couldn’t ask for more!

Derek did an amazing job of taking care of our super-anxious rescue pup. She usually doesn’t let anyone pet her easily but we were so glad to see how comfortable she was with Derek and his dog. He also sent timely updates with pictures/videos, gave some great feedback about our dog’s behaviour and shared some tips and tricks. Will definitely book again. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our pup!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Tustin commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
