About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have spent the last 10+ years caring for family and friends’ pets, from feeding, walking, playing, and just keeping them happy and comfortable. I treat every dog like my own, paying close attention to their routines, quirks, and needs so owners can relax knowing their pet is in good hands. My schedule is flexible, so I have plenty of time to give your pet the attention it deserves. Whether it’s a walk during the day, an overnight stay, or regular visits throughout the week, I can work around your needs. I’m happy to discuss a routine that fits your pet’s specific requirements. I’m comfortable caring for pets in either my home or yours, whatever makes your pet most comfortable. My home has a fully fenced yard, giving pets plenty of safe space to run and play outside. I follow your instructions closely for feeding, medication, and routines, and I always prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort in either setting.

“Ashley was friendly and did a greath job taking care of my boy. This is my first time having him stay at another house because I was called last minute to work and didn't have any one to care for him at home today. She reassurede me he was doing good kept in contact with me and made sure he was feed. Looks like my boy really liked her and he even made new friends with her pups. If I had an emergency and had to use this app again I would definitly love to have my boy in her care again.”

“I have used a few sitters before but Candi set a néw high bar. He came back with such a smile on his face and was wagging his tail when he came the second time. Candi is the best sitter you need to use for your dog. Thanks. Jeff”

“Shelby and her boyfriend Nathan did a great job watching my pup while I worked. They were very flexible with my late hours and thorough with understanding his personality and needs. It was more than enough because my pup is super easy to care for. They walked him, fed him, and played with him and I think Shelby sent more pics than I’ve ever gotten from any daycare before. I also appreciated that Shelby clearly had put in some time to learn about dogs and their behavior. I’ve done that myself so I noticed in the things she said that she had spent some time on learning about them. That always makes me feel more comfortable with daycare because it makes people more likely to see signs of potential problems in dog interactions. I would absolutely have them watch my pup again in the future.”

About: I’ve grown up rescuing kittens from the streets and healing them to health. I have two healthy cats at home that I take care of every day. They are fully vaccines and healthy. I have a passion for cats, so I am always doing research to get a better understanding of how they may think. I'm currently working full-time from home, so I have plenty of time to take care of pets. I get many breaks during my working hours. I love my two cats, I never discipline them by yelling. They are allowed on the furniture and have a tree house to play in and many toys all throughout the home. I work from home so I'm always around and I rarely go out. I like being home. I also get breaks to go out and do any drop ins. I live in a three bedroom apartment. There is one bedroom dedicated as my cat room, which has a cat house, scratch post, wooden home and many toys and tunnels for play. I have toys for them everywhere and constantly buying new toys. My cats love the their playroom. Right outside the window is a tree where some birds and squirrels pass, they love to lay on the hammock and look at the window.
“Cheryl was great and gave many updates throughout the day! Our dog Churro looks like he had a blast playing with Cheryl’s dogs in her yard in all the pictures she sent. Will definitely be using her again for any future dog sitting needs!”

About: What sets me apart is my unique combination of professional experience and a perfect home environment. I previously worked at a busy dog cafe in South Korea, where I gained hands on experience handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. Since my schedule is very adaptable, I can easily integrate pet care into my daily routine. I'll be around to keep your pet company, take them out for regular potty breaks, feed them on time, and give them plenty of attention and love I have professional experience working at a dog cafe in South Korea, where I cared for various breeds and temperaments. “Beth and Sean (and Sunny) welcomed Kenzie into their home for a couple of daytime sittings. They sent plenty of updates and pictures of her stay, which was great. Very appreciative that they accepted a booking on short notice, as well. Thank you for caring for her!”

“Olivia was so kind and constantly took my dog out for walks and potty breaks. She also frequently sent videos and photos without me asking throughout the day. My puppy, Cinnamon, will be back!”

“We got so lucky to find Tiffany!! She was a few minutes from Disney and very good with Boog fur baby. She was so kind and friendly Boog immediately went to her and her husband like they were long lost friends. It was so awesome to see the connection. They gave us details of their day with lots of photos to make us smile. They have 2 dogs who were gentle and playful with our mini Weiner dog. When we picked him up he was all warn out from nonstop fun they had. Which was nice to see. We highly recommend them and will definitely use them again when we come back! Too bad I didn’t live here she would be on my speed dial!! Thank you both for giving us a safe fun place for Boog to spend the day!! We feel blessed to have such amazing care for him!!!”
“Holly was so great! Updating us with Piko's pictures and what he's doing throughout her time with him. She's very calm and confident so that helped out the initial transition and it went smoothly! We would love to have her watch him again soon ?”

“Samantha did a great job dog sitting for our mini Aussie at her home. She took Lila on frequent walks and sent pictures throughout the day to let us know our girl was doing great. Samantha was flexible with hours and worked with us to schedule drop offs and pick ups that worked for both of us. Could tell Samantha was very affectionate and provided ample attention. Would recommend her to anyone looking for a person to care for their precious dog.”

“Carolyn is amazing with our dogs. We recently adopted a new puppy who is very shy and can nervous pee. Carolyn must have been some confidence up in her because she had no accidents and came back home very tired and happy. Bao Bao absolutely loves it here and has an absolute ball with Carolyn’s own dog. My husband and I truly appreciate all the updates and photos provided. We intend to use Carolyn for future services. Thanks for all that you do!”

Nancy and Richard were absolutely wonderful. We have a 5 year old mini schnauzer we rescued 6 months ago and had never left with someone before. They made Freddy very comfortable, took him on walks which he loves and kept his routine and what’s he’s used to. We were thrilled with this couple as was Freddy. Thank you.

Absolutely wonderful experience with Kathy! She took amazing care of Jake and kept us informed throughout the entire time. Her communication was excellent—she always responded promptly and was very punctual with the scheduled times. She was always on time for everything we agreed on, which gave us so much peace of mind. We felt completely comfortable knowing Jake was in such good hands. She was caring, responsible, and clearly loves what she does. We would definitely recommend her and will absolutely book with her again next time we’re in town! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jovanny, Robyn, Franky, took great care of my dogs while I was at the Disney parks. They only live about 12 minutes away. I got two to three updates during the day with pictures and videos of them playing or going for walks. They were flexible with pick up and drop off times. Overall, my dogs seemed to like their stay with them and I felt comfortable that they were well taken care of. I picked up so late that they were even able to give them dinner. Thank you for the help for my dogs that probably wouldn't have done well in a boarding facility.

Michelle was great with Leonardo. She has a genuinely good vibe about her and was very welcoming to show me how her home is dog-friendly. Her home is comfortable and clean. I felt safe leaving Leonardo with her and she even helped me with cleaning up Leonardo’s hair that was covering his eyes. I appreciated that. Thank you, Michelle. I would love for her to watch Leonardo again! =)

Beth and Sean (and Sunny) welcomed Kenzie into their home for a couple of daytime sittings. They sent plenty of updates and pictures of her stay, which was great. Very appreciative that they accepted a booking on short notice, as well. Thank you for caring for her!

This was Winston's first visit with someone since I adopted him 8 months ago and I was hesitant on how he would do. It didn't take long for him to warm up to Molly and it gave me the reassurance knowing not only did I choose the right sitter, but that I also chose someone who is so kind, understanding, patient and loving towards him. It puts me at ease knowing he is in good hands and I look forward to our next visit.

Had an excellent experience with Sarina's pet service for my dog. She was very responsive in our initial contacts and coordinating with my brief schedule in Anaheim area. Upon meeting her, I was quite reassured that she would be great and my dog liked her right away. During the visit Sarina took her on a few walks and avoided contact with other dogs at my request to avoid any potential conflicts. I had provided specific instructions about medication, food and she handled all of it with ease. I again used her services a few days later while visiting downtown Disney and she was very accommodating as well. I would have no hesitation using Sarina again and see how much she loves dogs and my dog really enjoyed her company. Thanks again, Sarina.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Orange commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
