“Yvette and her mother did an amazing job taking a last minute request to watch my puppy for over 7 hours. I’m so appreciative of them both. They continuously sent pictures of my dog, walked him and fed him as requested! This was my first time dropping him off at a dog sitter, I was nervous as heck but overall my experience was great with these two ladies. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!!”

“Our ruby loves going to doggy day care with Tiffany! She’s so excited to go over and hang out with her and her wonderful doggy! Tiffany takes such great care of our ruby with amazing walks and playtime! She sends pictures all day which I love !”

“This is my first time using rover, and I was a bit nervous for the outcome. But rest assured, Claudia and her family are the best!! She has an amazing backyard for my dog to run around during the day while I went over to Disneyland! She is your girl if you need a babysitter, and I also loved on how she provided me videos and pictures of my dog during her stay. When I picked her up at night, she was so tired 😴! Thanks again Claudia, you are the best really! I will be contacting you again when I need another babysitter 😅❤️”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! James took wonderful care of Jay-Z while we spent the day at Disneyland. He was kind, responsive, and kept us updated with plenty of photos. He was also very flexible with our schedule, which we really appreciated. His dog Molly is adorable, and it’s clear James is amazing with dogs. Jay-Z came home happy and tired, showing she had a very active and fun day. Another big plus is that James lives very close to Disneyland, which made everything so much easier for us. We would definitely book with James again to take care of Jay-Z!”

“Highly recommend leaving your pup for the day if you’re gonna be heading to the parks. Very nice people and you can tell they are dog lovers just like you and I.”

“Bella was an amazing dog sitter! She was very responsible and took such great care of our puppy. We felt completely at ease knowing our pup was in good hands. Highly recommend her!”

“Alex was truly the best. He gave constant updates and my pups seemed extremely comfortable at his home and with him and his girlfriend. He is very kind as well as his girlfriend who helped watch the pups. His home was very clean and backyard was amazing, he also seemed to let the pups have free range in the home making it more comfortable for them. I would definitely book him again in the future.”

“We’ve booked with Mike and Ja Hyung twice, and both were great experiences. Mike sent us photos, was prompt with responses, and was flexible with our schedule. I never had to worry when she was under their care. Definitely great dog sitters who care and are attentive to any fur baby they watch!”

“Celeste and Joaquin were amazing! I had them take care of my staffy for 3 consecutive days and it almost got to the point that my dog didn't want to leave them lol they took really good care of her. They kept me updated with pictures and videos. Drop offs and pick-ups were easy. Communication was consistent. Their dog was really friendly. I can go on and on about the quality of experience I had. I 100% recommend them if you're looking for a sitter.”

“Maggie did a great job caring for Lucy during daycare! She sent plenty of photos and updates throughout the day, which we really appreciated. Lucy came home happy, and it was clear she was well cared for. We'd gladly book with Maggie again!”

“I had been searching for a daycare service I could truly trust with my baby for a long time. My dog has pretty severe separation anxiety, but even after Steven and Kim-Anh learned about it, they were very understanding and happy to take care of Mahur. She is usually very cautious around new people, but she seemed to feel safe and comfortable in their home. Both Steven and Kim are very passionate about training, and they spent a lot of time playing with and caring for Mahur. I finally feel relieved knowing that I’ve found a daycare I can trust completely. I would absolutely love to continue bringing her here in the future.”

This is Mary's second time in doggy day care with Gloria. And it only got better. She spent the week having a great time with her friend Boba. And they are like best buds now rolling around playing together on the rug. I'm not sure who to recommend more: Gloria or her bulldog Boba!!

I could not speak highly enough Yvette and Jessi. My dog, Maui, has issues sometimes when being left behind with complete strangers in an unfamiliar environment and they were able to calm her down and went to great lengths to get her comfortable in their home so that my husband and I can go to Disneyland for the day. Their home is beautiful and located in close proximity to Disneyland so it was quite convenient. They were both very transparent and kept in constant communication and updated on my pup’s status. They were so warm and friendly and I felt comfortable leaving my dog in their care and that’s all you really can hope for when trying to find someone last minute but they went above and beyond.
SJ was absolutely awesome! I've never had a better experience. Neither has my puppy, Mary. She got to play at the dog park, her favorite activity, twice in one day! The pictures SJ sent of her exhausted and napping after playtime were so adorable. I'll definitely book with her again.

Kimi was great! Watched our boys for the day while we were at a theme park. She gave updates all day with pics and videos, and even brushed our dogs (Pomeranians) and gave my senior a massage! We’d definitely rebook with her! We’ve never had anyone else watch our dogs so we were anxious, but Kimi totally put us at ease.

Siqin, aka Steve, was great with my Sammy! He updated me when she was all settled in and relaxed and took care of her old lady needs, diaper changes and sitting with her a while she ate. She had lots of fun with his pup and we look forward to next time. Thanks so much!!

I'm so glad I found Enoc available at the last minute for the Valentines weekend for my dog Angel. He was punctual, respectful, and I know my boy enjoyed his time with him. Enoc was very responsive & accommodating to Angels needs. I will definitely be contacting him again to dogsit for Angel. Thank you! 🐶

I liked Gillian from the moment we met. It was a brief meeting because I was late for a meeting. Miss Peace liked her too, from the moment she met her. The pictures Gillian sent put me at ease that she was well taken care of and that she really cares that my fur baby had a really good day. Thank You Gillian for the service you do.

Nikita and her husband watched Kubo for the day while my husband & I spent a day at Disneyland. Easy communication and I love the Rover card at the end. They sent a video of Kubo and that made me feel reassured that my dog was having a good time. Thanks Nikita!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Fullerton commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
