“I should say they are the worst dog sitters ever because we want them all to ourselves!!! Our dogs ABSOLUTELY LOVE their Auntie Chelsea and Uncle Richard. We recently adopted a dog who is usually a little skittish…but not with her Auntie and Uncle. They love them like their own..Cuddles and pets and lots of spoils! They should get a 10 start…5 isn’t enough!”

“Holly was the perfect house sitter for Lucy. She has a very calm and soft demeanor and Lucy was comfortable with her in no time at all. Holly was very attentive and responsive throughout the whole process and I was comfortable knowing I could reach her easily. I would definitely ask Holly to watch Lucy again and would highly recommend her to others looking for a trusted carer for their pets.”

“Katrina has been so wonderful to us. Ben loves having her company & we love the peace of mind of having her home with him when we're away. As usual, she's very reliable, friendly, easy to communicate with, and we'll continue to use her services.”

“Jacqueline is a very soft-spoken and kind lady who took care of our Nutella at our home for a little over two days. Our cat was very well cared for and we received multiple daily photos showing her activity, making us feel very comfortable about having left our cat in Jacqueline's care. She also took very good care of the home. We are very happy with the help Jacqueline gave us in caring for our cat when we were away and will easily consider her for the next time we have a similar need !”

“Emma is such a wonderful person you can put your trust to care of your furry baby. She constantly sent me updates and pictures of mi little monster. And she took my Freyja for many walkies. Freyja absolutely loved Emma!”

“Ashley was a great sitter for Lucy. She was very polite and gentle. Her communication skills are excellent. This was the first time Ashley took care of Lucy and Lucy was settled in with her very quickly. I would definitely ask Ashly to house sit Lucy again and would highly recommend her for other pet parents.”

“Kat has always been great and my 14 yr old dog just loves her. My dog is still very active and loves her walks in Bellevue Park. I know she is getting lots of belly rubs and Kat makes sure she stays healthy while I am away on long trips.”

“Maggie is amazing! She was in constant contact with me, sent many pictures and videos, which I asked her to do. My dogs love her so much and I know they were very well taken care of. I found her kind of last minute, she was available and accommodating to my time. I highly recommend Maggie, I am beyond happy I found her, and will definitely rebook next time!”

About: Hello, my name is Maira and I’m a life long animal lover. I’ve had all kinds of pets and cared for everything from turtles to fish, hamsters and birds, a rabbit, cats and dogs. Although I love all animals, Dogs are where my heart melts! I’ve taken care of friend’s dogs as well as helped friends and family basic train their small and large breed dogs. I have 10+ years of experience with dogs of all sizes and ages including my 90lb high energy Doberman which taught me a lot. If you remember one thing from my page I hope it’s this; I will take care of your furry babies as if they were my own. Monday through Friday I am available 6:30am - 6:30pm to care for your furry family. Saturdays and Sundays I am available 7:00am -7:00pm. If you need me outside of this time frame please let me know. During a drop in visit, I let your fur child out for a potty break and ensure they have plenty of water, food, and treats (if you okay the treats before hand) then hang out, play, and love on them for the remainder of the 30mins. During a walk booking, I will pick up your dog for a walk around the neighborhood. Which can be part structural and part sniffing to mentally stimulate and not just physically work out. The goal is a happy healthy pupper (and yes a 10 y/o is still a pupper) you will receive photos of our adventures and a message informing you how your baby’s walk went. Rain or Shine! Your Dog’s safety is my top priority. If it’s too hot or it is raining we will alter our walks with either a rain jacket or walking indoors at a near by pet friendly store. I am prepared with towels, plenty of water and a pet first aid kit should we ever need anything.
About: While I’m new to Rover, I’ve been caring for pets and homes for over 15 years. I have experience with dogs, cats, senior pets, medication administration, and multi-pet households. I’m excited to bring that experience to Rover and build lasting relationships with local pet families. (: FUN FACT: I have the same birthday as Caesar Milan, so I’m kinda like a dog whisperer 🤪 I’m a housewife with no pets or children of my own. I do theater every now and then but overall my schedule is wide open and ready to share the love and care necessary for your furry companion. I’m not sure why Rover says I don’t allow animals on the furniture. I don’t mind unless it’s a rule within your home to keep them down (: I will honor all of your wishes with caring for your loved one and treat them as if they were my own. I have a fenced backyard and safe neighborhood for walks. Your furry friends will be protected and their comfort is always going to be top priority whether in your home or mine. (:
“We have a very active 60 lb. dog who requires a daily hike. Tina took Hazel out for an hour each day, and when it proved too hot in the afternoon she switched to mornings. She followed all of our requests and Hazel really liked Tina. She (Tina, not Hazel) left the house clean and tidy. We have already made arrangements to hire Tina again. We recommend her wholeheartedly.”

“Kathryn was absolutely wonderful! She handled my 177 lb cane corso with ease. Kathryn was very communicative and gave me updates and pictures while I was gone. Would highly recommend and definitely hire again!”

“Lena is amazing. Kind, responsible, responsive, exact, caring, gentle, honest, capable, safe…all the characteristics you need and want in a furbaby sitter. She stayed in my home with my furchild, Summer, sent pictures and videos often, followed my detailed, and particular, directions exactly, and most importantly, Summer loves her!! Lena made my time away from Summer bearable. Will request Lena again soon, and without reservation.”

“Jade did a great job of taking care of our dog, Lily, while we were on vacation out of the country. She was very responsive and sent us pictures daily. She left our home in great condition as well. Our pup was excited to see us when we returned, but not overly excited, which made it clear that she was well taken care of and well entertained while we were gone. We would definitely recommend Jade to other pet owners and plan to hire her again in the future!”

“Kaylynn stayed overnight and took wonderful care of my two BIG strong breed dogs- Pitt Bull and Bull terrier. —-she loves animals! Also took great care of my home and cleaned dogs dishes. Highly recommend her.”
“Vincent was all around the best dog sitter we’ve been fortunate to have for the girls. His attentiveness to their needs and his commitment and affection he gave to for our pups was above and beyond. We cannot wait to have him out to watch them again if we ever have a need for him. Thank you so much brother!”

Stephanie was absolutely wonderful! She stayed in our home and took such great care of our dog Mookie and our house. From the moment we met her, we felt completely comfortable and knew Mookie was in good hands. She was responsible, communicative, respectful and sent lots of updates and photos. We would absolutely trust Stephanie with our home and dog again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.

Kayleen was a gem. Doggie was all upset with us all being gone and she spent lots of time comforting her and making her happy. The house was spotless and the dog was all smiles when we returned. Thank you to her. I highly recommend her and her house sitting / dog caring abilities. She was super responsive when my dog freaked out upon her departure to the store and handled the situation beautifully

We were very happy with Dahlia. We could tell from her updates, photos, and videos how much she really loved our dog. Dahlia played all of Shadow's favorite games, kept to her schedule, and cuddled with her. I think Shadow might actually be happy the next time our family leaves for a vacation because she enjoyed Dahlia so much!

Katherine stayed in our home for 2 weeks with our cat and dog. We were impressed with her work experience, training in pet emergency care and CPR, and her pursuit of further veterinary studies. At the first meeting she was warm and engaging with us and more importantly with our pets. Our 65lb dog Teddy liked her so much he immediately sat next to her on the couch. Katherine was very aware of our pets' needs and spent a lot of time with them playing and taking walks. She also administered ear medication for Teddy twice a day. We got lots of updates and pictures, and we felt completely comfortable knowing our sweet boys were well taken care of.

Marco was very helpful and accommodating with my schedule change. We met at my hotel for a quick meet and greet and then stayed in my room while I bounced around the city. He’s punctual, he pays attention and seems like a pretty trustworthy guy. He safely watched my dog sleep (her favorite hobby) and got her out for a quick walk which is all we needed. He has great communication and is quick to respond; also his rates are extremely reasonable for the service. I recommend you reach out to Marco if you need your dog watched while out visiting Disneyland or the greater Anaheim Resort Area.

Tiffany went above and beyond caring for Mikey while we were away. This was the first time I had ever left him, so I was naturally nervous, but she completely put me at ease from the start. She sent continuous photo updates, which meant so much and allowed me to see how happy and comfortable he was throughout his stay. Tiffany is incredibly organized, attentive, and meticulous in her care. It was obvious that she truly cared about Mikey's well-being and treated him like family. Knowing he was in such capable and caring hands made all the difference. I cannot recommend Tiffany highly enough and will absolutely trust her with Mikey again in the future.

Highly Recommend Jackie! Jackie was absolutely fantastic with our two dogs! From our very first meet-and-greet, she was incredibly conscientious—taking detailed notes about their schedules and asking thoughtful questions to ensure they received the exact care they needed. She provided regular daily updates, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Both dogs were wonderfully cared for, but what impressed us most was how she handled our more anxious pup. She usually gets very stressed when the family leaves, but she was completely relaxed, happy, and at ease with Jackie. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Vince was great with our dogs . Took them for couple of walks a day, played with. Our bigger boy(62lbs) Pascal doesn’t always like men he doesn’t know but by the pictures of him playing that got along great. He had problems managing our 2 furry babies-60 and 40 lbs. We felt very safe with them in his hands.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Fullerton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Fullerton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fullerton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fullerton. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
