“Maggie is amazing! She was in constant contact with me, sent many pictures and videos, which I asked her to do. My dogs love her so much and I know they were very well taken care of. I found her kind of last minute, she was available and accommodating to my time. I highly recommend Maggie, I am beyond happy I found her, and will definitely rebook next time!”

“Lena is amazing. Kind, responsible, responsive, exact, caring, gentle, honest, capable, safe…all the characteristics you need and want in a furbaby sitter. She stayed in my home with my furchild, Summer, sent pictures and videos often, followed my detailed, and particular, directions exactly, and most importantly, Summer loves her!! Lena made my time away from Summer bearable. Will request Lena again soon, and without reservation.”

“We were so happy with Tracy. She is very professional and I felt very comfortable leaving my furry babies with her. The dogs loved her immediately. I would fully recommend her. And I would not hesitate to use her again.”

“Ashley was a great sitter for Lucy. She was very polite and gentle. Her communication skills are excellent. This was the first time Ashley took care of Lucy and Lucy was settled in with her very quickly. I would definitely ask Ashly to house sit Lucy again and would highly recommend her for other pet parents.”

“Athena was fantastic! She took exceptional care of our senior GSD, played soccer with her, rescued her from an unexpected dip in our spa (ball chasing), and communicated clearly. Bonus, she is a great pet photographer and we received several frame-worthy photos and really fun videos while we were away. Highly recommend.”

“This is the 2nd time I have used Kristen and I’m so happy that I found here. My pups are my babies and I hate leaving them but she made me feel okay about leaving them. She sent me check in photos daily and made sure to follow our schedule. Thank you Kristen ❤️”

“Jacqueline is a very soft-spoken and kind lady who took care of our Nutella at our home for a little over two days. Our cat was very well cared for and we received multiple daily photos showing her activity, making us feel very comfortable about having left our cat in Jacqueline's care. She also took very good care of the home. We are very happy with the help Jacqueline gave us in caring for our cat when we were away and will easily consider her for the next time we have a similar need !”

“Esther was wonderful with our Kiki. She was nice, clean, responsible, and took great care of our dog and house. It was the first time we were on vacation from our puppy and Esther sent us updates and videos so we knew Kiki was in good hands. Highly recommend Esther for your dog sitting needs.”

“Jade did a great job of taking care of our dog, Lily, while we were on vacation out of the country. She was very responsive and sent us pictures daily. She left our home in great condition as well. Our pup was excited to see us when we returned, but not overly excited, which made it clear that she was well taken care of and well entertained while we were gone. We would definitely recommend Jade to other pet owners and plan to hire her again in the future!”

“Alyssa did a great job as a walker and an overnight sitter for an extended stay. She bonded quickly with my not-so-friendly chihuahua rescue, and he trusted her to carry him before long. She kept us updated with pictures and grabbed a package that was delivered late. Will book again. Highly recommend!”
“We have a very active 60 lb. dog who requires a daily hike. Tina took Hazel out for an hour each day, and when it proved too hot in the afternoon she switched to mornings. She followed all of our requests and Hazel really liked Tina. She (Tina, not Hazel) left the house clean and tidy. We have already made arrangements to hire Tina again. We recommend her wholeheartedly.”

“I should say they are the worst dog sitters ever because we want them all to ourselves!!! Our dogs ABSOLUTELY LOVE their Auntie Chelsea and Uncle Richard. We recently adopted a dog who is usually a little skittish…but not with her Auntie and Uncle. They love them like their own..Cuddles and pets and lots of spoils! They should get a 10 start…5 isn’t enough!”

About: I’ve always been the go-to person for friends and family when they need someone to care for their pets while they’re on vacation or away from home. From puppies to senior dogs! I make sure their pets get plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and love while also keeping their home safe and cared for. I’m dependable, attentive, and often available on short notice when unexpected needs come up. When I’m not walking dogs or pet sitting, I work part-time as a therapist, so being patient, responsible, and caring is a big part of who I am! Hello! I CAN PROVIDE OVERNIGHT STAY ANY DAY OF THE WEEK (7pm-8am)🩷 and I can offer services during the day/all day on weekends, and Tuesday and Thursday since I work from home. “Britney was so good with Lily and treated her like her own! She was awesome at communicating and sent pictures! She stayed at my place and kept it clean! Thank you Britney! Will definitely rebook!”

About: I have my own dog and grew up with a variety of animals. I currently take care of neighbors pets in my complex, surrounding cities, and the app. I Iwanted to be a veterinarian but since that didn't work out now I will help and pets in a way that is equally rewarding! This is my passion! If I didn't need to pay bills then I would do this for free! So don't leave your animal in the care of someone who JUST wants cash. Your pets are like my own and I will treat them as such:) So care for your canine and choose this alpha... I only do this exclusively so there will be no distractions or lack of care on my part. I will have a hundred percent devotion to your pet as it always should be. I have my dog that is jealous with other animals so I will have to go to the clients home for the walk, drop in, or sitting. There is nothing better then having your pet comfortable in their own environment:)
About: I have an intimate knowledge of pets and all animals. I have nurtured many abandoned and stray dogs and cats and have found them safe and loving homes. I am reliable, trustworthy, honest, and communicative. I am physically fit and am a US Army veteran. I currently own a beautiful Corgi mix that was abandoned and ran over by a car. After the amputation i adopted her. She is the sweetest little girl! I also currently feed and assist with finding loving homes for other abandoned animals in the area. I am reliable, honest, and trustworthy. I am physically fit. I live in Brea. I am a US Army veteran. I have a drivers license and a clean background. I have lots of patience and love for all pets! I’m an excellent pet communicator.
“Katherine is such a loving and sweet person that my animals gravitated towards. I’m so thankful to have found such a wonderful person that we can entrust our babies to during the times we are away from home. Thank you for taking such good care of all the babies! I could tell how much love they got from you! ❤️??❤️”

“Holly was the perfect house sitter for Lucy. She has a very calm and soft demeanor and Lucy was comfortable with her in no time at all. Holly was very attentive and responsive throughout the whole process and I was comfortable knowing I could reach her easily. I would definitely ask Holly to watch Lucy again and would highly recommend her to others looking for a trusted carer for their pets.”

Tracy is a treasure. She was a terrific caregiver, companion, BFF, and all around great sport for our very active Doberman pinscher. We so appreciated her attentiveness, kindness and willingness to engage and play with Samson. We highly recommend her and plan to use her again.
Lena is amazing. Ryan is simply wonderful. He stayed with our dog and cat for 6 days. He immediately became friends with our dog (and she’s quite a handful). Our cat didn’t accept him right away, but he wasn’t put off and found an approach with her - and after just 2 days they were already best friends. He always sent us photo updates and wrote about how the animals were doing. We can see that our pets didn’t miss us at all while Ryan was with them. He’s now number one on our list of pet sitters. Thank you so much.

Jade did a great job of taking care of our dog, Lily, while we were on vacation out of the country. She was very responsive and sent us pictures daily. She left our home in great condition as well. Our pup was excited to see us when we returned, but not overly excited, which made it clear that she was well taken care of and well entertained while we were gone. We would definitely recommend Jade to other pet owners and plan to hire her again in the future!

Linda is absolutely wonderful! This was our second time booking her, and we couldn’t be happier to have her care for our cats again. She is incredibly responsive, communicative, trustworthy, and thoughtful. It’s clear how much she genuinely cares for our two cats—one energetic two-year-old and one senior—and she gave both of them so much love and attention. We felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands while we were away. She also took great care of our apartment. We would happily book Linda again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and trustworthy pet sitter!

Eduardo is a great person and dog sitter. He communicated throughout the stay, came to meet our dogs prior to sitting and took them for walks. He let us know when he was arriving and leaving and took great care of them. Especially our little one that’s a little shy at first. I highly recommend Eduardo for your pets too

Tiffany went above and beyond caring for Mikey while we were away. This was the first time I had ever left him, so I was naturally nervous, but she completely put me at ease from the start. She sent continuous photo updates, which meant so much and allowed me to see how happy and comfortable he was throughout his stay. Tiffany is incredibly organized, attentive, and meticulous in her care. It was obvious that she truly cared about Mikey's well-being and treated him like family. Knowing he was in such capable and caring hands made all the difference. I cannot recommend Tiffany highly enough and will absolutely trust her with Mikey again in the future.

Highly Recommend Jackie! Jackie was absolutely fantastic with our two dogs! From our very first meet-and-greet, she was incredibly conscientious—taking detailed notes about their schedules and asking thoughtful questions to ensure they received the exact care they needed. She provided regular daily updates, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Both dogs were wonderfully cared for, but what impressed us most was how she handled our more anxious pup. She usually gets very stressed when the family leaves, but she was completely relaxed, happy, and at ease with Jackie. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Vince was great with our dogs . Took them for couple of walks a day, played with. Our bigger boy(62lbs) Pascal doesn’t always like men he doesn’t know but by the pictures of him playing that got along great. He had problems managing our 2 furry babies-60 and 40 lbs. We felt very safe with them in his hands.

Lauren is phenomenal! She did an excellent job with our timid rescue dog. He immediately took to her. She was loving, playful, gentle and communicative. It was a relief to know our sweet boy was being so well loved while we enjoyed some time with the family. I would highly recommend Lauren, without any hesitation.

Marketta has been wonderful! We have had her come over twice and we will definitely use her the next time we go out of town. Our dog Gracie loves her and was so happy to have her here while we were gone. when we got back she was a very happy and a well taken care of doggie.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 14,880 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Brea. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Brea walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Brea maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brea choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brea. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
