“Katherine was great. She filled a last minute need for us over the holiday weekend. She asked a lot of questions - which was great - to make sure we were on the same page. I would definitely hire her again.”

“Camryn was so good with Peach! She made sure to give her lots of attention and take her out for her potty break. Peach absolutely adored her time with Camryn and she was very comfortable and happy with her. Thank you so much Camryn, I would absolutely book you again!”

“Leah was absolutely awesome! She was extremely accommodating and even took care of our hamster. Flash enjoyed his walks and hanging out with her. If you need someone to take care of your pets, definitely contact Leah. We will ask her to help us out again in the future.”

“Desiree is a wonderful dog sitter! She is extremely knowledgable, enthusiastic, and kind. She is an excellent communicator, always letting me know exactly how my puppy did, what commands they practiced, and when she arrives/leaves. I have peace of mind that my puppy is in great hands when I’m nor there. I love that she helps him practice leash-walking and his commands, plays with toys, and even sets up developmentally-appropriate games with him.”

“Anne is my go-to cat sitter! She has a wonderful rapport with my cat 🐈⬛ She leaves wonderfully detailed report cards too. I feel safe and secure knowing my cat is in good hands.”

About: I grew up surrounded by cats and dogs, and have 2+ experience petsitting dogs with special needs. I'm the mom of two whites tree frogs, so I'm also well versed with reptiles and other exotic pets! I'm comfortable with all sorts of critters, not just fur-babies! Reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects, and arachnids are all included and well loved in my care. I work part time, usually nights, and take classes during the week day. Friday-Sunday I am almost always free full time to watch your pet. If care is needed weekday, depending on how much time is required, I can visit before, after, and between classes to feed, check in, and let out for the bathroom. I'm well experienced with feeding schedules, administering medication, potty breaks/cleaning litter boxes, and keeping spaces clean and tidy! I strive to leave homes I visit better than I found it. I'm also known for taking lots of silly pictures of your pet to send alongside daily updates.

We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving pet caregiver.”

About: Hi, Carson here. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a passion with animals. Since I was a kid, I’ve never had a day without a pet accompany in my life. Over the past 30 years, I had 4 dogs and 3 cats, and currently with my wife Casey we have 2 cats. All of our fur babies were either strays or coming from shelters. We always wanted to do more for the animals and with years of experience in taking care of animals with all ages we think this is a good place for us to take the first step of our calling. I am a business consultant who works from home so my schedule is very flexible and can accommodate your schedule during the weekdays as wells as weekends. As fur parents, we understand how anxious and uneasy it can be when you have to travel away from your fur babies. We assure you that we would treat your pets like our own and take good care of them so you can have a peace of mind and enjoy your time away worry free.

I understand that every dog has unique needs, routines, and personalities, so I take the time to get to know them and provide care tailored specifically to them. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, as well as dogs with disabilities. I'm comfortable caring for all dogs and providing special accommodations as needed. My goal is to make sure your dog is happy, healthy, and well cared for every step of the way. I currently work full time but with a flexible schedule. I'm consistently available in the early mornings and late evenings and can work around my schedule if needed. Safety, trust, and creating a positive environment are my top priorities when caring for pets. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and specific needs so they feel comfortable and secure in my care. Whether in my home or a client's home, I ensure the environment is safe by keeping hazards out of reach, monitoring pets closely, and following all care instructions carefully. Building trust with both pets and their owners is very important to me. I provide consistent care, respect household rules, and keep owners updated with regular messages and photos. “Lyndsay is so fantastic! She was able to stop in to check on my pets. My dog takes some time to warm up to people, and Lyndsay gave him the time and space he needed to get comfortable with her. She made sure he ate, got to go outside, and sent pictures and updates and followed his routine perfectly! My very shy cat even came out of hiding to say hello too - highly recommend and would absolutely have Lyndsay watch my pets again!”

About: I’ve loved and cared for all creatures big and small, dogs, cats, rodents, fish, reptiles, and even horses, so I am no stranger to the unique qualities of different animals! 🐾💛I’m the type of person to have conversations with any animal as if they understand what i’m saying.. sometimes I swear they do! ☺️ I’ll make sure to go the extra mile for any pet, I have plenty of experience handling senior dogs and cats, as well as administering oral medication to them. My ultimate goal is to make sure your babies are safe, loved, and comfortable while you are away, and to hopefully become theirs (and yours..) favorite sitter! 💗 I am currently a full time pre-med student with only about 2 classes a day, no classes on Fridays or weekends, so there are only about three hours a day I am not available, but no matter what I will always prioritize the safety of your pet. I’m willing to stay with them all day or make multiple visits a day as needed. I have a fully fenced backyard and two very small friendly dogs, my house and yard have lots of running room! If I am needed to come to your home I will follow all instructions you give me and ensure a safe environment, I like to provide my client with frequent pictures of their pets while caring for them to provide peace of mind that their babies are okay. I know that every pet is different and I always make sure to check their body language and determine if they want space, are stressed, or want pets!!

About: As a dog parents and human parents we know how hard it is to trust your baby with someone. Dogs have a special place in my heart and I guarantee to take care of yours as if they were my own. I have two dogs at home and they adore having dogs over to play & dogs to accompany our walks. We have a giant 5 section yard with horse property that we got specifically for our dogs. I am providing a personal experience with sitting, boarding & walking. With 12 years of experience caring for dogs, I understand when dogs need to play, rest , drink water, eat & just have affection. I also know that exercise is key. Happy dogs use their energy and prey drive on play time & let off some steam. Dogs are with me inside my home & also go on errands with me; however I have a huge yard for play time. They are inside dogs & will be watching movies or cuddling but also get their car rides & plenty of playtime outside in the yard.

Just finished our first pet sit with Jenn, and we couldn’t be happier with the care she provided for our three kitties! She was incredibly communicative throughout the entire week, which we really appreciated and gave us peace of mind while we were away. Our cats also seemed very comfortable with her, which means a lot to us. We’ll definitely be requesting Jenn’s services again in the future and highly recommend her!
Camryn was so good with Peach! She made sure to give her lots of attention and take her out for her potty break. Peach absolutely adored her time with Camryn and she was very comfortable and happy with her. Thank you so much Camryn, I would absolutely book you again!

Very happy with Tonia's care of my somewhat cantankerous orange tabby. Drop in photos were provided daily with some of the best pics ever! Communication about visits was timely and very thorough. I really appreciate the details she provided about how my cat behaved during each visit. Tonia is patient and calm and developed a rapport with my pet at his own pace. I returned home to a very calm cat with no drama or isolating behaviors. This tells me he trusted Tonia and liked her care for him.

Leah was absolutely awesome! She was extremely accommodating and even took care of our hamster. Flash enjoyed his walks and hanging out with her. If you need someone to take care of your pets, definitely contact Leah. We will ask her to help us out again in the future.

We had a great experience with Regina! She took wonderful care of our cat while we were away for a week. Communication was excellent, and it gave us peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for cat and would definitely recommend Regina’s services. Thank you!

Mirae is the cat whisperer! My kitties are so shy that they hide from everybody. The minute someone comes to the door they are just streaks diving under the bed. But they let Mirae pet them and even asked for attention. Mirae was faithful to the times I requested and sent pictures so I could see how good the kitties were.doing. I will definitely be using Mirae’s services again!

I couldn’t be happier with the care my puppy received! Anne was a great sitter. Even during a short visit, she made sure my puppy was well cared for, comfortable, and happy. I appreciated the updates and the peace of mind knowing my fur baby was in good hands. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter, and I look forward to booking with her again in the future. Thank you for taking such great care of Latte!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
