“Maggie was absolutely wonderful! Spoofy had a great time with her and her family. He was always so excited to see her and she went above and beyond to treat him with love and respect. I know that Spoofy is in good hands when he’s with Maggie!”

“We had such a great experience with Tiffany!! She took amazing care of our big baby while we were away and made us feel completely at ease the entire time. It was clear from the start how thoughtful, attentive, and experienced she is. She really takes the time to understand each dog and make sure they are comfortable, cared for, and set up for a great stay. Because of her, we were able to fully enjoy our Disneyland trip knowing he was in such loving and capable hands. He came home happy, relaxed, and so clearly well cared for. You can tell she genuinely loves the dogs she watches and puts a lot of care into creating a safe, calm, and positive environment for them. We are so grateful for the amazing care she gave him and would absolutely trust her with him again. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve spent the last 16 years sharing my life with dogs, and I understand that every pet is a family member. My journey started in 2010 with my first rescue, Cheeto, who was with me for nearly 16 wonderful years. That journey taught me the patience, love, and specialized care required for every stage of a dog's life—from the zoomies of youth to the gentle needs of the golden years. I currently work from home full time, and have plenty of breaks to play with your pup and supervise backyard time. I can also take them on a walk in the morning and/or early evening. I have a fenced backyard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed, and plenty of beds and couch space for nap time.
“Bella was an amazing dog sitter! She was very responsible and took such great care of our puppy. We felt completely at ease knowing our pup was in good hands. Highly recommend her!”

“Anthony was great! Great communication and provided a loving place for my dog. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will be using him again! Thanks for taking such good care of Phoebe!”

About: We love creatures of all kinds! Dogs, cats, reptiles and more. I work from home full time and just had to put my sweet Arya to rest. My family loves to care for animals and enjoys them in the home. Lots of TLC, big fenced in yard and lots of snuggles. Kids are 16, 10 and 10. I work from home full time as a client support consultant. I also homeschool my three children (ages 16, 10 and 10). I am home all day! There are some sport activities that require a drop off around 3pm, but home most of the day with availability to feed, walk and care for your pets. I would be with your pet most of the day. Doors are secured with a fenced in yard with lots of grass and shade. Food is tucked away and children in the home are older and very familiar with caring for pets and keeping them safe.

“Patty and Kelley were amazing. We had last minute booked them a day before because we had some emergency work done on our home all while having hair dresser coming and working on hair... it was just so much movement in our home to keep them from feeling so overwhelmed. Patty and Kelley didn’t hesitate to take Tebow and Migos In. We are new to the area and it’s was so nice that even during a pandemic they allowed our two boys into their home. They were really safe during drop offs and pick ups.. they even gave both pups little collars and blankets and toys! Totally beyond what I ever expected!!!! I’m sooo thankful for them and their service!!! If you’re in the area I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!! Thank you again!!”

“Thank you for taking such great care of my baby 🐶 It was my first time booking with Mike and Ja Hyung, and they sent videos and photos throughout the day to make sure Louie was doing well. I will definitely book again! 🤩”

“Josh is absolutely AMAZING!!!! I can’t imagine anyone else aside from Josh watching my fur baby. Josh cares for her like she is his own and I know that she is in great hands. Josh updated me with pictures throughout the day which put a smile on my face! Josh is patient, attentive, and very knowledgeable about dog behaviors. Josh played with her and walked her at the park which was great stimulation. She is now resting from her SUPER FUN day. Can’t wait for my Mia’s next day visit with Josh!”

“Celeste and Joaquin were amazing! I had them take care of my staffy for 3 consecutive days and it almost got to the point that my dog didn't want to leave them lol they took really good care of her. They kept me updated with pictures and videos. Drop offs and pick-ups were easy. Communication was consistent. Their dog was really friendly. I can go on and on about the quality of experience I had. I 100% recommend them if you're looking for a sitter.”

“First time to use their services, and I’m very happy. They took my baby (coco - standard poodle 1 yr 7 mos old) in even if it was a short notice. They took care of her and when we picked her up she seemed happy even during drop off she wasn’t shaking which she does all the time during drop offs”

“2nd time with Melissa's doggie day care services, and we couldn't be happier with how she cared for our dog Bella. Our pup was treated like family, and she came home pooped (2 walks), happy and well adjusted. If you are looking for doggie day care services you cannot go wrong using Melissa D.!”

“I originally had someone else scheduled to watch Cashew, but they canceled last minute. Luckily, Huiming was available to dogsit on short notice. She sent me updates and photos throughout the day, which I really appreciated. I’d definitely trust her with Cashew again and recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter for their furbaby.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Brea
Denise was an absolute joy!. Flynn loved going over to her each morning of his stay. My family and I were in town to go to Disneyland, and we did not want to leave Flynn alone. It was our first time leaving him with someone. Denise made the time so easy and comforting. She updated us with text and pictures throughout the day and had a really good routine going for Flynn. It felt like she has been with him forever! They bonded and I felt at ease leaving him with her.

Julie and Justin are so attentive of taking care of my doggie Jackie. Based on the pictures and video she shared with me from Jackie’s stay with them today, I am so happy to learn that Jackie himself is enjoying it and really happy to spend time with them. I am so thankful that I was able to let Jackie be taken care of by Julie and Justin. I hope reading this review can give you a yes to book them for any service you need :))

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Brea commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
