“Katherine was great. She filled a last minute need for us over the holiday weekend. She asked a lot of questions - which was great - to make sure we were on the same page. I would definitely hire her again.”

“Lyndsay is so fantastic! She was able to stop in to check on my pets. My dog takes some time to warm up to people, and Lyndsay gave him the time and space he needed to get comfortable with her. She made sure he ate, got to go outside, and sent pictures and updates and followed his routine perfectly! My very shy cat even came out of hiding to say hello too - highly recommend and would absolutely have Lyndsay watch my pets again!”

“Michelle was amazing with our sweet Dixie (4 month old golden retriever puppy)! After our first phone call with her, we knew Dixie would be in excellent hands. Michelle was very attentive and kept us updated throughout the day. We will absolutely be booking her again the next time we are in town; we couldn’t have dreamed of a better pet sitter.”

“Alexandra took care of our Dog and Cat while we were away. She was very attentive to their needs and followed all our instructions regarding medication and food including watering our plants. My pets seemed to have loved her and we were happy with her care.”

About: I had a Golden Retriever for 12 years and now a Cairn Terrier for 5 plus years. I ABSOLUTELY love dogs and will treat your dog as if it were my own. I am a retired schoolteacher where I taught Kindergarten, third grade, and fifth grade. I have 3 grown children who are 28 years old, 27 years old, and 22 years old. My son is a high school pastor, my daughter is in athletics at a local college, and my youngest daughter is in her last year of college and is studying to be a schoolteacher. I have been married to my husband going on 32 years. I have lived in my community for 23 years and have gone to my church for 23 years.

About: I have grown up having and taking care of dogs my whole life, as well as looking after friends' dogs while they are away. I truly believe that a pet is apart of the family and should be treated as such. When sitting dogs I am willing to take extra time and put in the effort to make sure they are fed, exercised, hydrated, and loved as they would be with their family. I am a student-athlete home from college for the summer. I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to spend mornings, midday check ins, and evenings with your pets. I am available to stay overnight if needed. I see pet sitting as an opportunity rather than a task, being excited to look after a part of your family. I am able to take dogs on long walks and keep up with high-energy play time, but I am just as happy providing a calm environment for a more relaxed dog. I am extremely respectful of your space and privacy. I follow all house rules regarding 'off-limits' furniture, feeding schedules, and security protocols; ensuring all doors and gates are double-checked and locked after every visit. Your pet and home's safety, as well as your peace of mind, are my top priorities. I keep dogs on a short, secure leash during walks and avoid high-traffic areas.
“Lizz dropped in to care for our two sweet older cats for a couple of days, and it is clear the cats were very happy with Lizz's care and attention. (Thanks to Lizz, we have the photo evidence!) We'll be happy to book Lizz again.”
About: My love of animals began at home with my family pets. Over the years, these included dogs, cats, ducks, goldfish, horses, and a mule named Fred. I started pet sitting in 2010 and worked with a high-end pet sitting company based in Los Angeles from 2019–2025. I also have experience with goats after volunteering on a property in Northern California. My other specialities include puppy care, senior pet care, administering medications (including insulin shots for a diabetic cat), and a certificate in Cat and Dog First Aid from the American Red Cross (2023). As of June 2026, I'm working to become a certified dog trainer via Rover's collaboration with GoodPup. I look forward to caring for your fur babies! I specialize in overnight pet sitting but am able to accommodate a variety of requests. I proudly service the entire Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, but my daycare, drop-in, and dog-walking rates are most affordable for clients who live within a 10-mile radius of Yorba Linda. I typically respond to messages within three business days. Your pet will receive high-quality care in the comfort and familiarity of your home, which helps to prevent/reduce separation anxiety and gives you peace of mind about the safety and suitability of their environment. In addition to passing Rover's third-party enhanced criminal background check, I have Pet Care Insurance™ through Veracity Insurance Solutions (VIS), a partner of Lloyd's of London that also backs the Rover Guarantee.
“I had such a wonderful experience with booking Zoe to care for my golden retriever puppy, Arthur. Zoe was responsive and available even last minute, sent lots of updates and photos on his report card and I truly felt like he was in the best care. Will definitely be booking Zoe for future visits!”

“OMG Sarah is the best! She was wonderful at communicating with me and making sure my babies had everything they needed and I felt they were well looked after. She also sent pictures which I appreciated. I felt I could trust her with my babies and can't wait to book her again. I have a hard time trusting new people but I felt so comfortable with her. Thank you so much Sarah!”
About: I will care for your dog like family! As a dog lover with over two decades of experience and the proud owner of a sweet 7-year-old Corgi named Mina, I know how hard it can be to leave your dog with someone new. My goal is to provide peace of mind, knowing your dog is in loving hands. ❤️🐶 I understand what it feels like to have a total stranger take care of your baby, and I want to do whatever I can to put your mind 🧠 at ease. I’m always happy to have meet-and-greets 👋 before the boarding starts so we can get to know each other and your dog will feel more comfortable with me. I’d love to start a long-term sitter relationship with you and your dog. I’m located in Yorba Linda with a spacious, fenced backyard and easy access to the scenic El Cajon Trail, perfect for daily walks and playtime. Throughout your dog’s stay, I’ll keep you connected with regular photo and video updates, so you’ll never feel far away from your furry friend. After a long career in the corporate world in Silicon Valley, I decided to take on a new adventure in Orange County, where I found my passion in dog care. What started as a side gig has become my full-time calling, and it brings immense joy not only to me but also to my wife and Mina. I now dedicate my days to making sure each dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for. I am a professional consultant by night with international clients based in Asia. What You Can Expect: 1️⃣: Your dog’s comfort is my top priority—I’m here for them like they’re my own. 2️⃣: For extra peace of mind, my home is secured with a Ring camera system, and I use AirTags for pups who may have a higher flight risk. 3️⃣: I care for small to large dogs who are friendly and non-barkers. Dogs without proof of vaccinations will not be accepted. 4️⃣: Your dog will have free reign of both indoor and outdoor spaces, so they can enjoy their stay to the fullest. 5️⃣: I strive to offer competitive rates while ensuring I can provide premium care, which covers Rover’s fees and taxes. Day care stays are up to 8 hours, and I offer extended stays for just $10/hour. Boarding care stays are up to 24 hours, and extended stay fees will vary accordingly. Need a lift? I offer pickup and drop-off services: • $60 per round trip for distances of up to 10 miles. • $100 per round trip for distances up to 20 miles. • Longer distances can be arranged for an additional fee, depending on traffic. Want to spoil your dog with gourmet meals? I offer special add-ons like ground beef or chicken toppers for an extra fee, depending on your preferences. Over the past 35 years, I’ve cared for a Maltese, Labradoodle, and now my beloved Corgi. Through my own business and Rover, I’ve looked after more than 75 dogs, and every one of them has become a part of my daily life. Your dog will receive plenty of exercise, rest, and, most importantly, companionship during their stay with me. During Your Pup's Stay, I Provide: • Daily updates, photos and videos to keep you posted. • Optional gourmet meals and meal supplements (pricing depends on your preferences). • Walks on the El Cajon Trail or playtime in my fenced backyard or nearby parks. • If you have any special care requests or training needs, just let me know—I’m more than happy to accommodate them. Feel free to reach out with any questions, and I hope to become your go-to sitter for all your dog’s future stays! Please note: Our doggy daycare rate covers up to 8 hours. For extended care beyond that, we charge $20 per hour per dog. Most pawrents drop off their dog(s) between 7-9 a.m. and pick them up between 4-6 p.m. to match their busy schedules. Please note: A boarding day is defined as 24 hours from the time your pet arrives at my home. For pick-ups, you are required to collect your dog 24 hours after the drop-off time. For example, if you drop off at 8:30 a.m., your pick-up time will be 8:30 a.m. the following day. Late pick-ups will incur a $10 per hour boarding fee per dog, and any pick-ups after 7:00 p.m. will result in a full boarding fee added to your pet’s bill. Tentative Daily Schedule: (Subject to adjustments based on your dog’s individual needs and preferences) 7-9 AM: Morning Walk 9-10 AM: Free Yard Time (Supervised) 11-12 PM: Meals 12-2 PM: Nap Time 3-4 PM: Afternoon Play 4-5 PM: Late Afternoon Walk 5-6 PM: Meals 6-9 PM: Rest Time 9-11 PM: Late Evening Bathroom Breaks Before Bedtime Safety and well-being are my top priorities. I strive to ensure your pup feels comfortable around other dogs and would love to know how I can make their stay as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. An initial meet-and-greet at a neutral location, such as the Yorba Linda Community Center or a nearby public park, is required to ensure the safety of all involved and to better understand your dog's specific needs and preferences. Proof of vaccinations (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, etc.) is required and essential to maintain a safe and healthy environment for your dog(s), other dogs, and humans. My home is clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed with your dog’s comfort in mind. It features a spacious layout, including three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining area, and an open living room. Outside, there’s a fully fenced backyard where your dog can play safely. I also provide crates for those who need them and doggy gates to securely section off areas of the house when necessary. Please see the pictures on my profile for details of the inside and outside of the house and surrounding areas. To ensure your dog's safety, all potentially harmful or edible items are securely stored, and dog food is kept in cabinets or high on shelves. I use a tall, commercial-grade trash bin to prevent curious pups from getting into it. Additionally, I prioritize cleanliness with pet-safe cleaning products to maintain a fresh and hygienic environment. Before entering the house, your dog’s paws will be wiped with baby-safe sanitizing wipes to keep the space clean. For your peace of mind, my home is equipped with a Ring Camera system, allowing me to monitor your dog even when I step away briefly. Your dog will have plenty of freedom to explore the fenced backyard in a secure environment. To help them adjust, I introduce them to other dogs gradually, typically over 2-6 hours or more, allowing them to get comfortable with the new smells and surroundings. With friends and family often visiting, your dog will receive ample attention, love, and care throughout their stay.
“Was very comfortable with our meet and greet, we had Jason watch our 2 dogs that both can not see well because of cataracts and one needs insulin, twice a day. He sent pics and or videos everyday that we enjoyed. He also picked up the pooh which we didn't expect him too. Thank you Jason, we will definitely use him again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Yorba Linda
Desiree is a wonderful dog sitter! She is extremely knowledgable, enthusiastic, and kind. She is an excellent communicator, always letting me know exactly how my puppy did, what commands they practiced, and when she arrives/leaves. I have peace of mind that my puppy is in great hands when I’m nor there. I love that she helps him practice leash-walking and his commands, plays with toys, and even sets up developmentally-appropriate games with him.

Michelle was amazing with our sweet Dixie (4 month old golden retriever puppy)! After our first phone call with her, we knew Dixie would be in excellent hands. Michelle was very attentive and kept us updated throughout the day. We will absolutely be booking her again the next time we are in town; we couldn’t have dreamed of a better pet sitter.

Yermin did a great job with my kitty and dog. She had no problem "job sharing" with a friend of mine, who came by twice a day to walk the pup and Yermin came by each evening to make sure kitty and pup were fed and got him out for his last pee of the day before bed. She was very responsive when contacted and she was always in communication. Also sent lots of photos, which I love!

Chandler took excellent care of our senior cat Chonky. She was very attentive to Chonky's needs. She gave him amply play time, brushed him and pet him. She also took care of feeding, giving him water top ups, taking out the trash, cleaning the dishes and litter boxes. She also vacuumed the tracked litter off the floor. We definitely recommend Chandler for your cat care needs!

My cats really warmed up to Ethan although they're typically very shy with strangers. The updates and photos were prompt and very thorough as well. Ethan also went above and beyond: my cats unfortunately threw up in three different places in the apartment and he unfortunately vomited in three different places in the apartment and he cleaned them up thoroughly, including the rug under the couch. I would definitely recommend Ethan as a pet sitter.

We had the best experience with Savannah! Our boys immediately adored her during our meet and greet. She’s experienced, attentive to detail, and communicative. One of our boys has a complicated medical routine and she was calm and cool as a cucumber when learning the routine and actually doing it. You could tell she truly cares for animals, especially *your* animal. We’re happy to have found Savannah as our boys’ new buddy!

Christina was wonderful! She was always on time and kept me updated with messages and pictures of what my cats were up to, which I really appreciated. She was responsive to texts and even went above and beyond by bringing in packages from our porch. Christina is extremely kind and caring—this is the third time I’ve booked with her, and I will definitely continue to do so. Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
