About: I have taken care of my neighbors’ and family friends dogs since 2015 ranging from English bulldog to Chihuahua to full size labradoodles. I have also cared for my own dogs. I am currently working part-time Monday-Thursday and am available after 3pm. I am fully available on Fridays. I work 1 weekend day which does fluctuate between Saturday and Sunday depending on the week - on that work day, I am available before 9:30am and after 6:30pm. I am very respectful of the client’s home. I will obey their house rules. I will make sure to be thorough with any provided instructions and ask questions about things I am not sure about. I keep a clean and organized space.

“Faith took excellent care of Raiken when he needed to be checked on while I was at work for the day. She was a great communicator and paid extra attention to ask about any specific needs for the day. I feel super comfortable leaving my pets in Faith’s care and will definitely have her come again! It’s clear Faith is a huge animal lover and very responsible which is exactly what you want when leaving your animals in someone else’s care. Thank you Faith!”
About: I know how important it is to trust someone to care for your dog. I’m reliable and treat your pet like it’s my own. I always send lots of photos and updates so you know your pet is being well taken care of. I’ve cared for dogs, cats and reptiles. I have cared for rescue pets, neighbors’ pets, office pets and assisted senior pets. I genuinely care for animals of all kinds, ages and needs. I’m working part-time and love the outdoors and exercise, so I can easily manage walks and drop-ins. Happy to feed and give needed attention to your pets. I am reliable, a mom who knows what it means to be a pet mom too! I would give the same care to your pet as I would my own. Lots of love and care in your home.
“Brittany was absolutely amazing with my cat! I was gone for a long weekend and had her check on my cat twice a day. River likes attention but normally doesn’t lay on people. Well, she liked Brittany enough to lay on her! She sent me photos and updates every visit and really gave River the attention she needs. We both have separation anxiety so I’m glad she was well taken care of!! She was also flexible on picking up and dropping off the fob to my apartment before and after my flights which made this so easy on top of stressful travel!! Will definitely hire her for any cat care I need!”

About: I've had dogs, cats and other pets since I've been born. I'm very well versed in paying attention to animal behaviors and needs, and can accommodate most requests safely and enthusiastically. I love taking care of animals whether it's my own, family, friends, or yours. I work full time in the middle of the day, but am available before and after work, and for periodic check ins. When I'm sitting for someone, the pet care is my priority. I keep a detailed list of what the pet needs, and pay attention throughout the time to how they're feeling. I make sure they are comfortable and have all their needs taken care of, and ask the owner for more clarification if necessary.

About: I have taken care of dogs all throughout high school and college whether it be family, neighbors, friends, or mutual friends! I am comfortable with giving pet’s medication or following specific instructions as needed. I can take care of all kinds of dogs and will be sure they feel as comfortable and cared for as possible. I love spending time with dogs especially as I am away from my own at home! I work from home as I have a remote internship this summer. I typically go to workout classes / go on runs in the morning but never longer than an hour. My backyard is dog friendly with a closed fence and lawn. My home is one story with plenty of room to play. Only one out of five of my roommates is home who also has dogs of her own.
“This is the third time we have had Katrina care for our cats. Our cats are very shy and skittish, but she takes her time with her visits to try and bond with them. She is very attentive, caring, and we look forward to working with her again.”

“Yermin/Nora provided such wonderful and quality care for my senior pup in drop in visits. Eddie was well taken care of and in good spirits upon my return. Nora maintained great communication. I definitely recommend Nora.”

“Wen was extremely caring and conscientious with my cat. She went the extra mile to do make sure all the details for cat sitting were in place beforehand. She made sure my cat got everything he needed, including quality time. Plenty of photos and videos were taken along with diligently using the in-app features to track how my cat was doing. I highly recommend Wen!”

About: I have experience watching dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels. I’m comfortable with reactive dogs and know how to accommodate them for stress free walks. My biggest strength is patience, which I believe is crucial in making your dog feel comfortable, especially the anxious and shy ones. I am happy to help with basic command training and conditioning. My partner and I both currently work remotely. I am in a role that is not meeting heavy so I am happy to accommodate to your schedule for walks and drop ins. Housesitting: I will do my best to keep your dog’s routine to not disrupt what they are used to while you are away. I am happy to care for your plants, help retrieve mail, and bring in/out garbage cans if needed. For boarding: Our condo has a small patio with a cot where your pup can sunbathe in. We also have a crate if preferred. Across the street there is a park with plenty of grass, and two streets away there is a dog park we can walk to. Your dog will be welcomed by our two male doggies ages 10 and 4 who are friendly and generally calm. We will send plenty of pics because we know that we miss our fur babies when we are away from them. Please let me know your dog’s daily feeding routine as well as allergies, known commands, favorite treats, etc.

I am free ALL SUMMER LONG! Anytime, anywhere, I’ll take good care of your fur baby. I can do morning, afternoons, evening, everything! Like I said I’m very open. It’s all your call! “Mel did an excellent job with our boys. She was always on time and I know the dogs appreciated the attention she gave them. She was also very flexible with a few last minute changes that really helped us out. I would gladly have her watch our dogs anytime!”

“We recently had the pleasure of hiring Chloe to take care of our beloved dog, Buttons, during our absence. Chloe was absolutely amazing! During her drop-in visits, she took Buttons for walks and spent quality time with her. Buttons, who can be a bit shy around strangers, immediately took a liking to her. She was gentle, patient, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. Chloe was also very communicative, sending us regular updates and photos of Buttons enjoying her walks and playtime. Overall, we would highly recommend Chloe to anyone looking for a reliable and caring individual to look after their pet. She provided excellent service and made us feel confident that Buttons was in good hands. We will definitely be using her services again in the future!”

“I am a repeat customer of Andreas. She takes great care of my 2 kitties. Makes sure they are fed, litter is scooped, their water is full and gives them lovin if they let her. Sends me pictures with each visit. Thanks again for letting me have a worry free vacation!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Villa Park
I had a last minute request for drop-in kitty feeding - with a complicated entry into the house - Shannan accepted the responsibility and went above expectations, she was exceptionally caring to Bella and had zero issues figuring out how to provide service. I have been a Rover sitter myself for 5 years, I can honestly say now I understand the value of asking for help and receiving peace of mind and the effort a sitter gives to care for pets. I HIGHLY recommend Shannan🌸 she is top notch as a Rover sitter!

I feel super comfortable leaving my pets in Faith’s care and will definitely have her come again! Aurora is a fantastic sitter. She was very gentle and sweet with my two shy cats, and it was great to see how they warmed up to her during the course of her visits. Aurora was also very caring and flexible when one of my cats had to have an emergency procedure before I left on a trip. Aurora was more than willing to accommodate extra visits and give medication as needed. I will absolutely be booking Aurora again and I know my cats are in good hands.

Went on a river trip with limited internet service and didn't worry about my 2 cats at all while I was gone knowing they were in Andreas care. She fed them, pet them, scooped their litter and sent photos the whole time I was gone. Highly recommend! Thank you Andrea!

Vivian is the absolute best! She’s been caring for our kitties, Jules and Vinnie, since they were little, and they absolutely adore her. Knowing they get so much love and attention when we’re away gives us complete peace of mind. We’re incredibly grateful for her and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable pet sitter!

Yermin did a great job with my kitty and dog. She had no problem "job sharing" with a friend of mine, who came by twice a day to walk the pup and Yermin came by each evening to make sure kitty and pup were fed and got him out for his last pee of the day before bed. She was very responsive when contacted and she was always in communication. Also sent lots of photos, which I love!

We just moved to CA from NJ so we don’t know anyone here. Getting set up with a dog sitter you can trust is such a huge task! I am so happy we found Vicky! She has been extremely communicative, punctual and most importantly is sweet and patient with my anxious dog’s! I have zero reservations about trusting my babies with Vicky and hope to be able to continue to have her stay with my babies when we travel.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
