“I met with Britney back in July to see how she would meet with my baby boy Maverick. Since August, she has been coming to see him at least 3x a week minimum and has done a phenomenal job! She’s very consistent, kind, and treats my baby boy well! I highly recommend hiring her services. I live in an apartment, and she’s been so flexible whenever there were any issues with getting access too. She’s a wonderful dog sitter.”

About: Hey! My name is Alyson and I’m ready to get your dog snoozing and waiting for your arrival. Been pet sitting for years!! I grew up around dogs, I had a black lab and after his passing I got two dogs, a Pyrenees and a Chihuahua mix… I’ve worked with it all.😅 I’ll have your dog tired out and snoozing in no time! I am free ALL SUMMER LONG! Anytime, anywhere, I’ll take good care of your fur baby. I can do morning, afternoons, evening, everything! Like I said I’m very open. It’s all your call! Need them to go for a walk? Wanna play ball? Just want to cuddle up? I’m here for it.
“Wen was extremely caring and conscientious with my cat. She went the extra mile to do make sure all the details for cat sitting were in place beforehand. She made sure my cat got everything he needed, including quality time. Plenty of photos and videos were taken along with diligently using the in-app features to track how my cat was doing. I highly recommend Wen!”

“Yerim took great care of our cat during a long trip we had and precisely followed all the notes we left her. She even took care of a few plants we had as well. We are glad to be back home, but we are also looking forward to the next time she can provide wonderful care for our cat again!”

“Nora was fantastic! Our usually shy cat was so friendly with her. She let them on the porch and played with them everyday. She was timely and thorough. We will definitely use her again!”

About: I know how important it is to trust someone to care for your dog. I’m reliable and treat your pet like it’s my own. I always send lots of photos and updates so you know your pet is being well taken care of. I’ve cared for dogs, cats and reptiles. I have cared for rescue pets, neighbors’ pets, office pets and assisted senior pets. I genuinely care for animals of all kinds, ages and needs. I’m working part-time and love the outdoors and exercise, so I can easily manage walks and drop-ins. Happy to feed and give needed attention to your pets. I am reliable, a mom who knows what it means to be a pet mom too! I would give the same care to your pet as I would my own. Lots of love and care in your home.
“Mel did an excellent job with our boys. She was always on time and I know the dogs appreciated the attention she gave them. She was also very flexible with a few last minute changes that really helped us out. I would gladly have her watch our dogs anytime!”

“Vivian is the best, she took great care of my two cats! I was extra impressed because my shy cat who never comes out when strangers are at the house, came out to start a relationship with Vivian, just from that I know Vivian is a gentle soul and she is the right person to look out for my fur babies! Thank you for an excellent job!”

About: Hi everyone :) I grew up around dogs and love them so much! I’ve dog-sitted my family’s pets seasonally when they had to go out of town and walked my neighbors’/friends’ dogs! Currently, we have a boy Shiba Inu at home, and we love him so much <3 I am open to learning anything that will help serve you and your baby’s needs! Right now, I am looking for full-time work, but I am working part-time. I’ll be very communicative and curious, so I can take care and be present with your babies! For walks, I always make sure my dog’s harness is on correctly and fitted. Because his fur is very fluffy/dense, he was able to escape from his harness one time, but I have learned my lesson… I let him sniff freely (when it’s safe/clean to do so) and even let him lead when I have allotted a lot of walking time for him! I also ALWAYS carry extra poop bags in case you run out or they poop a bit more than anticipated. For dogsitting, I will always ask questions about how to care, and I will be attentive to your dog in case there is ever a situation where I am not well-equipped to handle. Your doggy will be in great hands and with a loving sitter! Lots of play time and cuddles. And, if you’d like I could practice their commands and give them lil treats! If I am boarding, my house is fully fenced (Shiba-proofed), and I am extremely careful when they are outside. My own dog is very chill and playful as he loves walking and playing with other dogs! He is also vaccinated and 5 years old.

About: I am the biggest dog person you will ever meet! I grew up taking care of a dog until my senior year of high school when she sadly passed away. In my senior year of college my roommate and I owned and took care of a senior dog. After she passed I decided to provide dog sitting services in the Berkeley area. I have experience with both large and small dogs, dogs that are leash reactive, dogs that are anxious, and dogs with a ton of energy! Additionally, throughout high school and over COVID I volunteered at a local animal shelter and provided dog walking and dog sitting services in Orange County! I've been told that I have a way with dogs, with many owners surprised that their normally timid pup warms up to me quickly. If you need to know your dog's in good hands, I am more than happy to give them a wonderful stay! I am home for two months this summer before I move to Ireland. My only plan for the summer is get ready for my move as well as train for my first marathon! I'm also looking to spend as much time outdoors as possible, including the park, the beach, hikes, and walks, that I would gladly have a furry friend accompany me on. In the evenings I typically like to get cozy and read or watch TV, and I would appreciate a cuddle buddy. I have a big, fenced backyard that would be any dog's paradise! I'm also more than happy to take any dog on a field trip to have some fun in the sun! I can provide lengthy walks multiple times a day and even have the dog accompany me on runs if they need to get some of their extra energy out.
About: I have over five years of experience caring for my neighbors’ dogs throughout high school and college, often pet sitting for extended periods ranging from several weeks to a full month. My responsibilities included feeding them on a consistent schedule, cleaning their cages and living areas, taking them on regular walks, giving them supervised time to play and roam in the backyard, and providing plenty of attention and affection. I am comfortable taking full responsibility for pets while their owners are away and always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. My schedule is currently very flexible, as I am living at home and primarily working in food delivery having flexible hours. This allows me to be available throughout the day and any day of the week, so I can give your dogs plenty of time, attention, and care whenever needed. I grew up with a dog of my own, so I understand how important it is to create a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for every pet. I always make sure to follow the owner’s specific instructions and maintain the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. While caring for my neighbors’ dogs over the years, I handled feeding, cleaning their cages and living areas, taking them on walks, giving them supervised time in the backyard, playing with them, and making sure they received plenty of attention and affection. I am respectful of both the pet and the owner’s home, and I always prioritize safety, trust, and making sure each dog feels comfortable while their owner is away.
“We recently had the pleasure of hiring Chloe to take care of our beloved dog, Buttons, during our absence. Chloe was absolutely amazing! During her drop-in visits, she took Buttons for walks and spent quality time with her. Buttons, who can be a bit shy around strangers, immediately took a liking to her. She was gentle, patient, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. Chloe was also very communicative, sending us regular updates and photos of Buttons enjoying her walks and playtime. Overall, we would highly recommend Chloe to anyone looking for a reliable and caring individual to look after their pet. She provided excellent service and made us feel confident that Buttons was in good hands. We will definitely be using her services again in the future!”

About: With both of my parents being veterinarians who own their own clinic, I’ve grown up around professional pet care my entire life. I’ve spent years in and around the business, giving me a level of hands-on experience and comfort with animals that goes way beyond standard pet sitting. I am highly experienced in: • Special & Medical Care: Administering oral medications, injections, and caring for sick, elderly, or disabled dogs and cats • Advanced Kitten/Puppy Care: Bottle-feeding neonates and managing strict feeding/fostering schedules • Standard Pet Sitting: Years of high school pet sitting, daily walking, overnight care, and managing various animal temperaments • Personal Ownership: As a pet owner myself, I know exactly how important peace of mind is when you are away Whether your pet needs intensive, specialized care or just a lot of love and a solid walking routine, I’ve got them covered I currently have an internship Monday/Tuesday from 9-5pm but have open availability the rest of the week! I can adjust my weeks to fit your pets needs accordingly. My goal is to keep your pet’s routine exactly the same so they feel safe and stress-free while you are away. Here is what I bring to every home visit: • Strict Routine: I follow your exact schedule for feeding, exercise, and medication times • Safety & Health Focus: Thanks to my clinic background, I am highly observant and notice any changes in your pet's behavior or comfort • Frequent Updates: I send regular photos and updates so you have total peace of mind • Respectful Care: I treat your home with the utmost respect, leaving it clean and secure

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Villa Park
Went on a river trip with limited internet service and didn't worry about my 2 cats at all while I was gone knowing they were in Andreas care. She fed them, pet them, scooped their litter and sent photos the whole time I was gone. Highly recommend! Thank you Andrea!

Vivian is the absolute best! She’s been caring for our kitties, Jules and Vinnie, since they were little, and they absolutely adore her. Knowing they get so much love and attention when we’re away gives us complete peace of mind. We’re incredibly grateful for her and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable pet sitter!

Aurora is an attentive, compassionate, and exceptional cat sitter. She individualized her care to our cats, and spent ample time playing with them and cleaning up after them during each visit. She sent great photos and our very social cats looked genuinely at ease. We would highly recommend her services and book her again!

Yermin did a great job with my kitty and dog. She had no problem "job sharing" with a friend of mine, who came by twice a day to walk the pup and Yermin came by each evening to make sure kitty and pup were fed and got him out for his last pee of the day before bed. She was very responsive when contacted and she was always in communication. Also sent lots of photos, which I love!

We just moved to CA from NJ so we don’t know anyone here. Getting set up with a dog sitter you can trust is such a huge task! I am so happy we found Vicky! She has been extremely communicative, punctual and most importantly is sweet and patient with my anxious dog’s! I have zero reservations about trusting my babies with Vicky and hope to be able to continue to have her stay with my babies when we travel.

Andrew was wonderful. He kept us informed and updated on our 2 kitties every visit. He paid attention to details and did everything we asked him to do, and beyond. Our scaredy cat was even okay with his visits. If we were to need a cat sitter again Andrew would be by first and most favored choice. Our house, cats, and peace of mind were safe and at ease because of Andrew...I highly recommend his services.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
