“I have used Lena several times now for house sitting and she is always attentive and gives excellent updates. She clearly loves animals and my fluffs enjoy the time they have with her.”

“Chelsea was amazing with our two pups! We needed a sitter to watch our dogs in our hotel room while we enjoyed Disneyland as a family. We had never left them with a sitter before and was nervous about leaving them for the first time. Chelsea put our minds at ease with her amazing communication, flexibility when we had to make some change in travel plans and sent us pictures and video clips of our pups throughout the day when she watched them. We would not hesitate using them again the next time we’re in town for vacation.”

“Rebecca is the BEST! We went on a trip overseas for a week and not a single time were we worried about our dog. She kept us updated everyday and showed him love like he was her own. Could not recommend more! I will never book with anyone else but her! 1000/10!🫶🏼”

“Emily was such a gem to work with from start to finish. Our pups thoroughly enjoyed her time and attention, she cared for them and our home as if they were her own. Highly recommend! Will book again!”

About: I’m a lifelong dog owner and current Goldendoodle parent with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs. I’ve also walked and cared for dogs for families in my neighborhood growing up, giving me experience with different breeds and personalities. I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely love being around dogs. I’ll treat your dog like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I work from home, which allows me to provide flexible, attentive care throughout the day. I’m available for walks, feeding, medication administration, and regular potty breaks as needed. Your dog will receive plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship, and I can easily adjust to their normal routine to help them feel comfortable and stress-free. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I work from home, so they’ll have consistent supervision, attention, and care. My home is clean and dog-friendly, and I have a gentle, well-socialized Goldendoodle. I follow each dog’s routine closely, including walks, feeding, and medication if needed. I also provide updates so you can feel confident your dog is safe, happy, and well cared for.
“So happy Amyra was able to watch my dogs again, especially over the holidays it’s hard to find a sitter. She was great with communication and sent multiple updates daily! Left the house clean and with the happiest dogs!”

“100% the best! Took care of our two golden’s Sunny and Candy, and we will definitely book with them again. We received consistent updates and pictures. She was supportive in giving medication to Sunny who got a hot spot just a few days before our trip and we were so happy he was in good hands.”

“Jenn is an absolute ROCKSTAR that literally saved our family vacation! Our service animals travel with us as a family but their specific tasks, hotel policies, and Disneyland as an environment meant we were in need of last minute, emergent care. Jenn came through for us and exceeded our expectations, becoming like family! We wish she lived nearer to us, but Anaheim is lucky to have her. She took wonderful care of our boys as well as our suite, and went above and beyond. If you’re looking for the best… Jenn knocks it out of the park and you’ll be so glad you chose her! I know we are!”

“Emily did an excellent job caring for Bambino. She kept us informed throughout the day with updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. She was attentive, professional, and clearly cared about his well-being. We especially appreciated the detailed progress report she provided at the end of the visit. We would gladly trust her with Bambino again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. Excellent job! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“This was our first time hiring a stay-at-home Rover, and we feel so lucky that it was Kaylee. She took such great care of our dog and was so mindful and respectful of our home. She was wonderful during the meet-and-greet - she arrived promptly, spent about 30min w/ us, and took the time to get to know our dog, Vanta. She was experience in animal healthcare, and I could tell from the way she approached Vanta (who isn't the friendliest at first!) that she is confident working w/ dogs and knows what she is doing. All weekend, she sent photos and updates that showed how comfortable and happy Vanta was with her. I felt completely at ease knowing she was in good hands! Highly recommend Kaylee :)”

“Super courteous, punctual, and friendly. The pups had a good time with her. She reported before departing and even managed to get a few good pics of them. Would use her again and recommend to others.”
“Kyanna did an amazing job watching our dog and house sitting. Kyanna kept us updated and informed by sending pictures and texting updates. Our home was well cared for and in order when we returned.”
“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! From the moment we met, it was clear how much She genuinely care about animals. She took the time to learn our dog’s routine, personality, and little quirks, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Throughout the stay, we received regular updates, photos, and messages, which made it easy to relax knowing our dog was happy, safe, and well cared for. It was obvious our dog was getting plenty of attention, exercise, and love. When we returned, everything was just as we left it, and our dog was calm, content, and clearly well taken care of. It’s such a relief to find someone we trust completely with our pet. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and attentive dog sitter—and we will definitely be booking with them again!”

“Sabha was a total professional. The communication was strong from the start. Communicated expectations garnered responsiveness and results. He house sat for us for four days. When we had to extend due to a change in plans, he accommodated. When we returned home, the kitchen had been cleaned and the house had been vacuumed. It was cleaner than when we left. Will absolutely book again. Thanks Sabaha!”

“Annie showed up for a meet and greet with a clipboard and lots of questions. I really appreciated her attention to details. I also really liked how she interacted with Kenai. She’s very quick to respond, and also asked about taking my pup somewhere indoors to walk when we were in a really bad heat wave. I plan to reach out to Annie to hire her again. Thank you Annie!!”

Vy is the best! She is extremely thoughtful, thorough, and I can tell she really cares about my pet, she is my go to for any of my dog sitting needs. From meeting her to the end of her stay at my house, she kept me updated with photos and how my dog was doing. This was my first time hiring a sitter instead of boarding and I’m super thankful it was with Vy!

5 Paws!!!!! (stars;) If we could give more than five stars, we absolutely would! From the moment we left, we knew our three dogs and our home were in the very best hands. They sent frequent updates and adorable pictures that made us smile and gave us complete peace of mind. They were always quick to respond, incredibly thoughtful, and treated our dogs like they were their own. It was obvious how much love, attention, and care they gave them. When we came home, our dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly well loved. That says everything. Finding people you trust enough to stay in your home and care for your pets is priceless, and we feel so lucky to have found them. We truly hope they'll be available every time for us because we wouldn't hesitate for a second to invite them back. We recommend them with complete confidence to anyone looking for caring, trustworthy, dependable, and genuinely wonderful pet sitters. Thank you for taking such incredible care of our home and our furry family!

We had a wonderful experience! She was gentle, sweet, and incredibly accommodating. My little poochies felt calm, comfortable, and well cared for in her presence. It gave me great peace of mind knowing they were with someone so kind and attentive. I would gladly trust her with my dogs again and highly recommend her to others!" 🐾💕
Allessandra was awesome! She came in clutch for me last minute and was amazing with the house and dogs. She sent pictures, updates, and was super communicative. She followed directions perfectly and left the house clean, which is the best to come home to. Would definitely rebook again!

Holly cow!! If you can, book Tiffany!! We needed someone to spend a FULL day (15 hours+!) with our three dogs. A 15 year old Husky, a 7 year old Husky, and a 5 year old Australian shepherd. Our Aussie is very skittish and nervous by nature and does not do well with strangers. But Tiffany had her calm in minutes!!! And to top that, our Aussie even cuddled up with Tiffany!! Tiffany sent us updates and pictures throughout the day to ease our minds, read to the dogs, and watched movies with them to make them feel at home! I can not express how much Tiffany eased our minds and allowed my family and I to spend a full day at Disneyland without worry!! I'll for be calling Tiffany any time my family and I need a dog sitter when we're in town!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Villa Park on Rover is $60.99 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 8,684 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Villa Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Villa Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Villa Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Villa Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
