“The whole family and our 2 doggos took a trip to Disney for my niece’s birthday. I needed someone to watch over my doodles at the air BnB while we were out all day. Thank God I found Chelsea and she was so quick to respond. She drove a litle extra to the airbnb and took care of our dogs. She even agreed to come earlier in such short notice. I was so thankful for her as I was able to enjoy Disney without worrying about my doods. If we ever drive down south again, definitely will book Chelsea in a heart beat. Thank you so much, Chelsea!”

About: Hello, my name is Maira and I’m a life long animal lover. I’ve had all kinds of pets and cared for everything from turtles to fish, hamsters and birds, a rabbit, cats and dogs. Although I love all animals, Dogs are where my heart melts! I’ve taken care of friend’s dogs as well as helped friends and family basic train their small and large breed dogs. I have 10+ years of experience with dogs of all sizes and ages including my 90lb high energy Doberman which taught me a lot. If you remember one thing from my page I hope it’s this; I will take care of your furry babies as if they were my own. Monday through Friday I am available 6:30am - 6:30pm to care for your furry family. Saturdays and Sundays I am available 7:00am -7:00pm. If you need me outside of this time frame please let me know. During a drop in visit, I let your fur child out for a potty breaks and ensure they have plenty of water, food, and treats (if you okay the treats before hand) then hang out, play, and love on them for the remainder of the 30mins. During a walk booking, I will pick up your dog for a walk around the neighborhood. Which can be part structural and part sniffing to mentally stimulate and not just physically work out. The goal is a happy healthy pupper (and yes a 10 y/o is still a pupper) you will receive photos of our adventures and a message informing you how your baby’s walk went. Rain or Shine! Your Dog’s safety is my top priority. If it’s too hot or it is raining we will alter our walks with either a rain jacket or walking indoors at a near by pet friendly store. I am prepared with towels, plenty of water and a pet first aid kit should we ever need anything.

“Marco was very helpful and accommodating with my schedule change. We met at my hotel for a quick meet and greet and then stayed in my room while I bounced around the city. He’s punctual, he pays attention and seems like a pretty trustworthy guy. He safely watched my dog sleep (her favorite hobby) and got her out for a quick walk which is all we needed. He has great communication and is quick to respond; also his rates are extremely reasonable for the service. I recommend you reach out to Marco if you need your dog watched while out visiting Disneyland or the greater Anaheim Resort Area.”

“We have a very active 60 lb. dog who requires a daily hike. Tina took Hazel out for an hour each day, and when it proved too hot in the afternoon she switched to mornings. She followed all of our requests and Hazel really liked Tina. She (Tina, not Hazel) left the house clean and tidy. We have already made arrangements to hire Tina again. We recommend her wholeheartedly.”

About: I've grown up with pets and have always been aware of each of their personalities and telling communication. Some prefer space and some prefer attention and I can easily provide either depending on the owners or pet's needs/wants. I work as a behavior technician and the summer schedule is slower. I still have 1-2 clients each day but only for 3-4 hours a day so I can easily take care of a pet and then go to my client, then come back. My weekends are always busy. I cannot take pets to my apartment since my floor does not allow pets with hardwood flooring, but I can go to the pets home, walk, take them in my car to go to a dog park/beach, and care for them in their own home. I respect the owners and pet's spaces because if it were my own, I would want trust in this relationship.
“Annie was really thorough and prepared for her stay here with Ellie. She asked a ton of questions in our initial visit and left me feeling very confident that she would care for Ellie as I would. She also came by the house to get reacquainted again with Ellie the day before our trip. And I think it really helped with Ellie’s separation anxiety. Overall, Annie was great. Communicated about Ellie everyday which made our trip all the better. Thank you Annie!!”
“Esther was fantastic with our cats! We were away for two weeks and left her in charge of our four cats, each with very specific care instructions. She was incredibly attentive to all our needs and followed every note closely. Her communication was clear, consistent, and reassuring throughout our trip. All of our cats were happy, comfortable, and well-cared for in her hands. My husband and I were truly able to enjoy our vacation with peace of mind knowing our pets were safe and content. We highly recommend Esther to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.”

“Katrina has been so wonderful to us. Ben loves having her company & we love the peace of mind of having her home with him when we're away. As usual, she's very reliable, friendly, easy to communicate with, and we'll continue to use her services.”

“I was a bit nervous about using Rover for the first time, but Kathryn made the experience great. She stayed at my apartment and took care of both my dog and cat for four nights. My dog can be wary of new people, but Kathryn approached her with such ease and clearly had a lot of experience with animals. She was very responsive, sent lots of photos, and treated my pets with such kindness. Will definitely ask Kathryn to watch my animals again in the future :)”

“Juan was great! He watched my MIL dog Hodor because he’s too big to come to our house. Juan kept the house clean and even made the bed. We would love having him again and plan to ask. Thank you Juan.”

“Jordan was so unbelievably amazing with our 7 year old golden retriever. She was communicative, kind, caring, and such a wonderful person! Jordan treated our dog like her own. Thank you Jordan!”

About: While I’m new to Rover, I’ve been caring for pets and homes for over 15 years. I have experience with dogs, cats, senior pets, medication administration, and multi-pet households. I’m excited to bring that experience to Rover and build lasting relationships with local pet families. (: FUN FACT: I have the same birthday as Caesar Milan, so I’m kinda like a dog whisperer 🤪 I’m a housewife with no pets or children of my own. I do theater every now and then but overall my schedule is wide open and ready to share the love and care necessary for your furry companion. I’m not sure why Rover says I don’t allow animals on the furniture. I don’t mind unless it’s a rule within your home to keep them down (: I will honor all of your wishes with caring for your loved one and treat them as if they were my own. I have a fenced backyard and safe neighborhood for walks. Your furry friends will be protected and their comfort is always going to be top priority whether in your home or mine. (:
“Laura always does the most incredible job taking care of our cats. She keeps us updated, looks after them and the house, and truly loves them. We know we can always trust her!”

I carefully plan my days to ensure each dog receives safe, enjoyable walks and consistent attention. On walks, I focus on providing safe, enjoyable exercise tailored to each dog’s energy level. “Dahlia is hands down the best pet sitter we've ever had. She house sat for our two dogs for a week and spoiled them rotten with walks, attention, and cuddles. She kept us updated with lots of photos and videos, and judging by the pictures, our dogs barely noticed we were gone! She went above and beyond by helping with a few household tasks we forgot about before our trip, and we came home to a spotless house and two very happy dogs. Our younger dog, Lucy, can be a handful at times, but Dahlia handled everything with patience and care. We wouldn't hesitate to book her again. She is officially our go-to sitter.”

“I highly recommend Eduardo! He was very communicative and extremely kind to our older dog while we were away. He followed instructions well and kept us up to date on his activities with our pet. I'd book with him again without hesitation.”

“Ally was so wonderful again taking care of Ollie, and she even made the long drive up to our new home when we were in a bind trying to find someone more local for a weekend. Ally sends tons of updates and is very communicative. I highly recommend her!”

“Jacqueline is a very soft-spoken and kind lady who took care of our Nutella at our home for a little over two days. Our cat was very well cared for and we received multiple daily photos showing her activity, making us feel very comfortable about having left our cat in Jacqueline's care. She also took very good care of the home. We are very happy with the help Jacqueline gave us in caring for our cat when we were away and will easily consider her for the next time we have a similar need !”

Bianca was the perfect dog sitter during my visit to SoCal! This was her second day in a row watching my dog. She communicated well, ensured my dog was entertained, and took her out when needed. Super friendly dog sitter! I highly recommend! Thank you again Bianca!

Highly Recommend Jackie! Jackie was absolutely fantastic with our two dogs! From our very first meet-and-greet, she was incredibly conscientious—taking detailed notes about their schedules and asking thoughtful questions to ensure they received the exact care they needed. She provided regular daily updates, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Both dogs were wonderfully cared for, but what impressed us most was how she handled our more anxious pup. She usually gets very stressed when the family leaves, but she was completely relaxed, happy, and at ease with Jackie. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We were hesitant to use Rover at first. Our hope was to find someone we could trust not only in our home, but with our precious Lola. Ashley was great! She stayed at our house so that Lola would be more comfortable while we were gone. She gave her just as much love & care that we do. She sent updates & pictures constantly. Lola was sad to see her go, but will be happy to see her again. Highly recommend. We will for sure book again either Ashley.

Nisa was my life saver! After another walker had ghosted me before a big trip she pulled through on such short notice. She was everything my two boys needed and more. This was my first time leaving my boys overnight but she calmed every nerve with her communication and updates. One of my dogs is extremely reactive with fear based aggression, this was nothing Nisa couldn’t handle! He warmed right up to her and didn’t want to see her go once I returned! As if she wasn’t gift from god before, she was set to leave to work the last day of her visit but after one of my boys unexpectedly threw up she dropped everything to stay with them until I got there several hours later. I cannot thank her enough, it was clear that she really cared for my boys and that’s a gift thats priceless. Please consider booking with Nisa, it’ll be the best decision you can make for your fur babies!

Lauren is phenomenal! She did an excellent job with our timid rescue dog. He immediately took to her. She was loving, playful, gentle and communicative. It was a relief to know our sweet boy was being so well loved while we enjoyed some time with the family. I would highly recommend Lauren, without any hesitation.

Kelsey truly went above and beyond while watching my baby girl Lily! She had no issues with administering Lily’s medications and vitamins! She sent plenty of pictures and I booked her for overnights and she was very respectful of the space! She treated Lily just as her own and I would definitely have her again watching over my heart on four paws! Thank you Kelsey!

Marketta has been wonderful! We have had her come over twice and we will definitely use her the next time we go out of town. Our dog Gracie loves her and was so happy to have her here while we were gone. when we got back she was a very happy and a well taken care of doggie.

FAQs for House Sitting - Anaheim
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Anaheim on Rover is $62.44 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 12,560 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Anaheim. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Anaheim walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Anaheim maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Anaheim choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Anaheim. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
