About: Relocated animal caregiver from Hawai’i looking for new families to support! Long time foster parent and special needs caregiver at Aloha Animal Sanctuary in Kaneohe, O’ahu. Where I was a caregiver weekly for over 6 years. Trained caregivers, lead tours and fostered Stevie the goat from his bottle and diaper days, Ducklee and Eve their ducks, Sushi a Polynesian Piglet and several quails. Also, was the overnight caregiver many times for the internet famous “Bala” abandoned baby goat on the hill before he got adopted. Have had experience with after surgery care, senior pets, blind/deaf and administering medication. Happy to now bring that knowledge and care to OC. Currently working on some projects remote so my schedule is quite flexible at the moment. If my schedule changes I would schedule around commitments made and always update families for future scheduling. I am always open to abiding by the natural routine of the pets, mirroring as closely as instructed. About: Hello, my name is Maira and I’m a life long animal lover. I’ve had all kinds of pets and cared for everything from turtles to fish, hamsters and birds, a rabbit, cats and dogs. Although I love all animals, Dogs are where my heart melts! I’ve taken care of friend’s dogs as well as helped friends and family basic train their small and large breed dogs. I have 10+ years of experience with dogs of all sizes and ages including my 90lb high energy Doberman which taught me a lot. If you remember one thing from my page I hope it’s this; I will take care of your furry babies as if they were my own. Monday through Friday I am available 6:30am - 6:30pm to care for your furry family. Saturdays and Sundays I am available 7:00am -7:00pm. If you need me outside of this time frame please let me know. During a drop in visit, I let your fur child out for a potty break and ensure they have plenty of water, food, and treats (if you okay the treats before hand) then hang out, play, and love on them for the remainder of the 30mins. During a walk booking, I will pick up your dog for a walk around the neighborhood. Which can be part structural and part sniffing to mentally stimulate and not just physically work out. The goal is a happy healthy pupper (and yes a 10 y/o is still a pupper) you will receive photos of our adventures and a message informing you how your baby’s walk went. Rain or Shine! Your Dog’s safety is my top priority. If it’s too hot or it is raining we will alter our walks with either a rain jacket or walking indoors at a near by pet friendly store. I am prepared with towels, plenty of water and a pet first aid kit should we ever need anything.

Our golden retriever got extremely anxious seeing us leave and once Tritia arrived she made our pets very comfortable quickly. My dog got so anxious he gave himself a brand new heat rash the day we left 😔 . I gave Tritia care instructions which were followed to the T and that heat rash was fully healed upon our return. I know things that are harmful to dogs and what to do to prevent it. I am aware of my surroundings and make sure I do everything in my power to keep pets happy and healthy. My pets: I have two French Bulldogs and able to separate them from boarded pets if needed. Medications: I am very comfortable administering medication and have done so many times in the past. I have administered medications for ky own pets and pets I have cared for. The Dogs that stay with us will walk every 2-3 hours during day and feeding depends on the schedule the pet parent provides. Playtime usually happens after walks. We keep out home clear of anything harmful and never open the door without ensuring the dogs will not run out. We treat all dogs like we do our own.
