“I honestly can't say how amazing Maira was. I had to book her super last minute and she went above and beyond to make both me and my dogs feel comfortable with the process. Including I might add, needing to add a walk mid trip due to flight timing that she was able to book me for. The dogs were obviously happy, the rover cards she sent were informative, and I couldn't be happier. I will absolutely be booking her again in the future and recommend her highly.”

About: I have two dogs and two cats of my own and have been caring for a stray cat colony/TNRed for many years. I am a very patient and clean individual with extensive experience caring for both dogs and cats. Two of my childhood dogs lived to 13 and 15 and passed away from cancer complications. This has helped me learn how to nurture and care for senior dogs and those with medical complications. The heartache is totally worth it as I would not change my life with my animals. I’m a new grad PA with some downtime, looking to walk some pups and cuddle some kitties. I am currently studying for exams and have time throughout the day to check in with your baby. I typically ensure from the moment I unlock the door that the pet is safe and inside the home. Afterward, I ensure their environment is clean and safe, and then get to my pet-sitting tasks. I make sure they are comfortable with me before approaching, and I typically want to do a meet-and-greet beforehand!

There is space for a playground for my kids and grass area for the dogs. We’ve gotten so many compliments on the space we have given that we live in Orange County. Shea has been absolutely amazing with my dog, Harley. From the very beginning, her communication has been excellent, she provides detailed updates after every walk along with photos, which I genuinely look forward to reading each day. It’s clear she truly cares about the dogs she works with. Harley is very comfortable with her, which gives me a lot of peace of mind. Shea goes above and beyond, not only with her attentiveness and reliability, but also through thoughtful gestures like the personalized magnet she made for Harley, which was such a nice surprise. I’m incredibly grateful we found her and will definitely be working with her again. I highly recommend Shea to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and professional dog walker.

WOW!!! Christian is so attentive to our little Bentley it’s so clear he has a passion working with 4 legged family members. Christian brought such a calm energy when picking up Bentley for his walk that there was no fussing, leash pulling or resistance on Bentley’s end! A site to see!! Will ABSOLUTELY be booking him more!!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Anaheim. On Rover:
- 88% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
