“Josh was great! Luna came back tired which is great because she has so much energy. I couldn’t find poop bags but he came so prepared with his own and asked questions I thought were important. Would recommend.”
“Chloe was amazing!! She stepped in at the last minute and I am so happy that she did!!! She was prompted on time for all of her visits and gave my dog Charlie all the love in the world in addition to some fun extra long walks! I’m so excited to have found her and will definitely be using her again”

About: Dogs have been part of my life for over 40 years. I've cared for my own dogs from playful puppies to their senior years, giving them love, structure and companionship every day. Although I'm new to offering pet care professionally, I know how important it is to trust someone with your family member. I'll treat your dog with the same patience, kindness and attention I'd expect for my own, providing a safe, comfortable and loving home while you're away. As a stay-at-home parent, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive care throughout the day to supervise, provide companionship, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention. Your dog's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I believe every pet deserves patience, kindness, and individualized care. I'll follow your dog's routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special instructions. I provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away, and I'll treat your dog like a member of our own family.
About: If you are looking for a safe, fun, and loving place for your dog to stay, look no further! I have always been passionate about animals and I have never lived without them. I currently have two dogs and a cat (all well trained). I have worked at animal shelters and have rescued, cared for, and adopted out upwards of 15 animals through my own home. When your dog stays with me, they will have a constant playmate through me, my husband and my other pets. We have a dog door with a fenced in backyard. We have toys and treats aplenty. I love to keep my families updated with pictures and videos of their animals having the time of their lives! Bring your fur baby over to play anytime! Most of my work happens at home and on my schedule. I regularly have foster animals so having extra pets in the home is already a part of my routine! We go on walks and play in the backyard! We have a dog door so there's always a bathroom for them if needed. However, we still walk however much you would like! Otherwise, they integrate into our lives as if they were our own.
“Dahlia is amazing! She absolutely loves our pups and always take great care of them. She also sends great updates and takes the best candid pictures of our pups. The pictures are so cute that I screen save them and share them.”

I follow your instructions closely for feeding, medication, and routines, and I always prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort in either setting.
“Wen has been an amazing dog walker! She took care of my two frenchies. She made sure they got plenty of exercise and water when they got back. What I loved about her is she would make sure to update me and take so many photos of my baby's. I highly recommend Wen! I will be using her in the future!”

About: I am the biggest dog person you will ever meet! I grew up taking care of a dog until my senior year of high school when she sadly passed away. In my senior year of college my roommate and I owned and took care of a senior dog. After she passed I decided to provide dog sitting services in the Berkeley area. I have experience with both large and small dogs, dogs that are leash reactive, dogs that are anxious, and dogs with a ton of energy! Additionally, throughout high school and over COVID I volunteered at a local animal shelter and provided dog walking and dog sitting services in Orange County! I've been told that I have a way with dogs, with many owners surprised that their normally timid pup warms up to me quickly. If you need to know your dog's in good hands, I am more than happy to give them a wonderful stay! I am home for two months this summer before I move to Ireland. My only plan for the summer is get ready for my move as well as train for my first marathon! I'm also looking to spend as much time outdoors as possible, including the park, the beach, hikes, and walks, that I would gladly have a furry friend accompany me on. In the evenings I typically like to get cozy and read or watch TV, and I would appreciate a cuddle buddy. I have a big, fenced backyard that would be any dog's paradise! I'm also more than happy to take any dog on a field trip to have some fun in the sun! I can provide lengthy walks multiple times a day and even have the dog accompany me on runs if they need to get some of their extra energy out.
About: What sets me apart is my real-life, long-term experience caring for dogs of different breeds and life stages. I currently have a Shiba Inu and previously raised a Bichon Frise who lived to 16, so I understand both high-energy dogs and the extra patience and attention needed for senior pets. I’m home most of the day, which allows me to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and timely care. I follow routines closely, pay attention to small changes in behavior, and always prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort. I also have experience pet sitting for friends during holidays and am comfortable with walks, overnight stays, and boarding. I’m reliable with communication and will send regular updates, photos, and videos so you can feel completely at ease while you’re away. Hi! I’m a caring and responsible pet lover with hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I currently have a Shiba Inu and previously raised a Bichon Frise who lived to 16, which gave me experience with both energetic dogs and senior pet care. I also have experience caring for cats and understand the importance of patience, routine, and creating a calm environment that helps pets feel safe and comfortable. Because I’m home most of the day while taking care of my family, I’m able to provide consistent attention, supervision, and companionship. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and treating every pet as if they were my own. I have also helped friends with pet sitting during holidays, and I’m comfortable with boarding, overnight stays, and dog walking. I always follow instructions carefully and provide regular updates with photos and messages so you can feel at ease while you’re away. My house has a fully fenced yard and a small grassy area, so pets can safely enjoy outdoor time without any risk of running off. During the day, pets are welcome to relax and spend time outside in the yard, where they can enjoy fresh air and sunshine in a calm and peaceful setting. I always supervise outdoor time to ensure safety and comfort. Inside the home, pets have a clean and quiet space where they can rest and feel secure. I maintain a calm environment and follow each pet’s routine to help them feel at home while staying with me.
About: I’ve been taking care of animals, especially dogs, since I was 9. I love animals and have sat for various types of pets— occasionally I will also get help from my lovely boyfriend. I’m currently a student attending college and I love animals. I’m super flexible and can find time on any days needed if it is possible. If needed, I can request an extra set of hands, my boyfriend, to help at no cost to you. I have 2 dogs that I care for on a daily basis. I feed them twice a day, the same time, every day. I make sure they get at least 30 minutes of exercise every day and give them baths once a week.

“Abigail has been one of the walkers that has helped our family by walking my mother's dog, Camellia, while my mother recovers from surgery. Abigail has been flexible and accommodating as our schedules have changed. More importantly, Abigail is good with Camellia and it is clear that Camellia enjoys her walks with Abigail.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Villa Park
Mia took excellent care of my dog Raiken when she came to check on him and let him out while I was at work. It’s obvious Mia is an animal lover with a lot of experience being around pets and caring for them which is so comforting as a pet owner. She is also a great communicator and very responsible. I will absolutely have Mia back again and I know Raiken can’t wait to see her! Thank you Mia!
I had a wonderful experience with this walker! They took great care of my beagle, Bear, and made sure he had a great walk. They were reliable, communicative, and kept me updated with photos and messages. It was clear that they genuinely cared about Bear and treated him like their own. I would definitely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their pet!

Rylan, thank you so much for walking Bruno, he had a wonderful time! Bruno says, "Thanks for letting me stop and snuffle, that's the best part of walking!" I also appreciate that Rylan started walking Bruno a little early, since Bruno and I arrived at the park a little early. 😎👍🏻

I had a great experience with Isabella! She arrived right on time and was very personable from the start. My dog can be a bit timid with new people, but she was wonderful with her — patient, kind, and clearly experienced. Willow returned happily tuckered. I really appreciated the thoughtful feedback Isabella shared after their walk, too. I’d definitely hire her again!

Sydney has been a lifesaver! She has been very patient with my older dog who, although very friendly, can be pretty shy on first encounters. She has gone above and beyond of what is expected of her and has always made it a point to communicate with me throughout the day. I work very long hours and I have noticed how happy my dog has been since welcoming her into his daily routine 😊

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
