I am experienced in administering medicines, following strict schedules, and making sure pets are well adjusted while their parents are out of town. I have both a cat and a dog at home and have owned pets all my life. I am passionate about pet care and making sure pets feel well adjusted. I like to spend as much time with pets as I can an make sure that they have plenty of time to get their energy out. Depending on their comfortability, I find it works best to be present in their space so they know someone is there for them while their parents are out of town. For non-overnights I check in at least twice a day and spend some time after feedings to keep them company.
About: I have taken care of my neighbors’ and family friends dogs since 2015 ranging from English bulldog to Chihuahua to full size labradoodles. I have also cared for my own dogs. I am currently working part-time Monday-Thursday and am available after 3pm. I am fully available on Fridays. I work 1 weekend day which does fluctuate between Saturday and Sunday depending on the week - on that work day, I am available before 9:30am and after 6:30pm. I am very respectful of the client’s home. I will obey their house rules. I will make sure to be thorough with any provided instructions and ask questions about things I am not sure about. I previously worked at a dog boarding facility so I have worked with many different breeds before. I currently have an 8 year old 50lb mutt whom I love with my whole heart. From the moment we first met, she & her husband, Alex, were warm, professional, and genuinely caring. It was obvious that they truly love animals and goes above and beyond to make them feel safe and comfortable. One of my girls, Amber, gets stressed whenever I'm away and often refuses to eat. Jingying patiently hand-fed her to make sure she was eating, which meant the world to me. My other girl, Daphne, is naturally shy and tends to hide from new people. Instead of giving up, Jingying was incredibly patient and persistent, allowing Daphne to warm up at her own pace. By the last few days, Daphne was coming out and becoming much more comfortable with her. That level of compassion and understanding is something you simply can't teach. Throughout her stay, Jingying sent thoughtful updates and photos, giving me complete peace of mind while I was away. She carefully followed their routines, treated my home with great respect, and showered my fur babies with so much love and attention. I came home to a clean house and two happy girls, which was the best welcome home I could have asked for. Ana took the absolute BEST care of our two special pups! We told her up front if they could just have a lovely snoozy time while we were gone with pets and treats, we'd be over the moon and Ana delivered exactly that. Christine was an outstanding dog sitter. He is responsible, reliable, and clearly loves animals. Our dogs were happy, well cared for, and comfortable while we were away. My wife and I booked Dalton and Mariela for overnight house sitting for two weeks. Our Boston Terrier is 1 year and 4 months old old land we've not spent one night away with him since we've been owned by him. Suffice to say we were nervous leaving him for our first time, especially being so long. Throughout our trip, they texted us, providing us pictures of him an keeping us up to date. We came back from our trip to a healthy and happy dog. In addition and equally as important, our house was left in the same clean condition as we left it in. Patricia and Steven were great! Really easy to communicate with and coordinate. And they were able to help me out at the last minute. Steven came to my house to sit my dog Squid and he was super friendly. We had really great conversations during the handoffs both before and after the sitting. He was super punctual and texted me photos of Squid while he was watching him. I would 100% rebook them in the future if I needed help watching Squid again. Squid seemed to really like him too!
