“Angelina was absolutely wonderful with my little dog, Peach. From the moment she arrived, I felt completely at ease knowing he was in caring and trustworthy hands. She was kind, attentive, patient, and treated him with genuine love and affection. It’s not easy to leave your pet with someone else, but Angelina made the entire experience stress-free and reassuring. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and professional pet sitter. Thank you, Angelina, for taking such great care of my little boy! ❤️”

“We could not be happier with our dog sitter! She has such a calm, caring energy, and our little 11-month-old pup absolutely adores her. From the moment they met, we could tell he felt comfortable and safe with her. She goes above and beyond by making sure he is well-fed, gets plenty of playtime, multiple walks each day, and lots of love and attention. It's clear she genuinely enjoys caring for dogs and treats them like her own. As pet parents, it gives us tremendous peace of mind knowing our puppy is in such great hands while we're away. We have been so impressed that we've already booked her for two more upcoming trips. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and compassionate dog sitter! 🐾❤️”

“Ana was absolutely incredible!!! I truly cannot recommend her enough. From the moment she started watching our dog, Pixie Dixie, we knew she genuinely cared for her like family. Her communication was outstanding the entire stay. She sent constant updates, adorable photos, and thoughtful messages that gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Every update showed how loved and comfortable Pixie was. Ana went above and beyond with Pixie with playing with her constantly, introducing new games, cuddling with her on the couch, and even sleeping beside her because Pixie wanted to be close to her. Seeing how attached Pixie became says everything about the kind of person Ana is. She also took phenomenal care of our home. Everything was spotless, organized, and exactly as we left it. By the end of the stay, Ana no longer felt like “just” a Rover sitter — she felt like family. We trust her completely and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone caring, responsible, communicative, and truly wonderful with animals. Pixie already misses her, and so do we!”

“They were amazing with my dogs and super helpful and communicative. I was away across the country and I got messages and photos of my dogs and it made me feel much more comfortable leaving them. I will 100% rebook again.”

“Alicia was the perfect choice to take care of our dog while we were away for 5days. She provided daily updates and pics. Our dog seemed very happy and he’s super high energy GSP but she handled his energy very well. Highly recommend Alicia! 🐾 😊”

“Robert is so very amenable. He was so helpful in a pinch and went ABOVE AND BEYOND. He is a great fit. My pup and cat loved him. He was right on schedule with all their needs and got them up and moving and staying healthy!”

I have a flexible schedule and can provide pet care throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I enjoy staying active, so I love taking dogs on walks, playing with them, and making sure they get plenty of attention and exercise. I’m happy to work with owners to meet their pets’ specific routines and needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I will always follow your instructions closely regarding feeding, walks, medications, and routines. I understand that every pet is different, and I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I’ll provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while your pet is in my care.
“Esther was awesome! Petsitting 2 cattle dogs at the last minute was challenging, but she worked with me and my pets and got them in a routine within a day! She kept me informed every step of the way and never hesitated to answer my texts. I've already asked her how to contact her for future pet sitting. Raider, Sloane and I are grateful to Esther for everything. Thank you! ♥️”

“Thank you Shannan for taking such good care of my fur babies while I was out of town.. Shannan is a very friendly sweet care giver, I felt so comfortable leaving her in my home with my babies. We will definitely have you back for our next trip🐶🤗”

About: I have taken care of my neighbors’ and family friends dogs since 2015 ranging from English bulldog to Chihuahua to full size labradoodles. I have also cared for my own dogs. I am currently working part-time Monday-Thursday and am available after 3pm. I am fully available on Fridays. I work 1 weekend day which does fluctuate between Saturday and Sunday depending on the week - on that work day, I am available before 9:30am and after 6:30pm. I am very respectful of the client’s home. I will obey their house rules. I will make sure to be thorough with any provided instructions and ask questions about things I am not sure about. I keep a clean and organized space.

About: Dogs and cats have always been part of my life. I'm the go-to sitter for friends and family, and I genuinely love it. When I'm with your pet, they get real attention: walks, playtime, and someone who's present with them the whole time. I pay close attention to the animals in my care. On one stay, I noticed a dog had an injury the day after his owners left. I kept them informed and confident throughout the whole recovery, and by the time they got home, he was almost fully healed and thriving. You'll get regular updates and photos while you're gone so you can actually enjoy your trip. Your pet is family. I treat them that way. I work remotely, so I'm around throughout the day, no long stretches where your pet is alone. I can let them out anytime, squeeze in a walk or play session between calls, and actually be present in a way a 9-5 sitter can't. Weekends, I'm completely free and fully focused on them. I do house sitting out of your home, which means your pet stays in their own environment, their own routine, and their own space, no adjustment period, no stress. I travel light and show up with everything I need, so your home stays exactly as you left it. Your pet gets my full attention for the entire stay. I'm a homebody when I'm on a sit, I'm not rushing out or leaving them for long stretches. Your pet stays comfortable, calm, and well-loved the whole time you're away.
About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life, all with very different personalities! I also started pet sitting from a very young age. I’m good with all ages, from puppies to seniors! I currently work on weekdays, so I’m available full time on the weekends, and anytime before 8 am and after 5 pm on Monday through Friday. At home, I have two dogs that live in the house and have access to a fenced in yard! However, I will only be able to accept services within the clients own home, so I will care for their pets however they feel is best!
“So lucky to have found Kathy through Rover, she was an exceptional sitter for our two dogs. Our boys are leash reactive so we are always a little anxious to leave them under just anyone’s care, but with Kathy we’ve never felt more at ease. Great communicator and responsive, would definitely book her again if we can!”

About: I’ve been a veterinary assistant going on 8 years now. I am comfortable caring for senior pets, administering medications, including injections and I don’t mind exotics. I am currently working so i will be able to work around schedules and my classes are online for now so I can definitely plan my classes around your pets’ schedule. In general, I believe all living beings deserve to be treated with love and respect. Therefore, I will make sure their bowls are clean, they have clean water, access to comfort and safety checks before I leave.

She was always super responsive and kept me informed about any updates or questions. I looked forward to getting each of her pictures and updates. Not only did she take such good care of our pup but she also took excellent care of our home. Everything was clean and tidy Upon Our return. Christine was an outstanding dog sitter. He is responsible, reliable, and clearly loves animals. Our dogs were happy, well cared for, and comfortable while we were away. She kept us updated with lots of photos, which meant so much to us because we missed our dogs very much. We also came home to a house that was in excellent condition—everything was clean, organized, and exactly as we left it. We felt completely at ease knowing Christine was taking care of both our dogs and our home. We highly recommend him and would gladly have her dog sit for us again.

Riley was amazing with Luna, he made sure she was comfortable. He also took her on multiple walks, fed her on time and shared a lot of photos / videos. Riley is amazing, caring and knows/ understands dogs. you should book him and we definitely will work with him in the future!
Ana was absolutely incredible!!! Alicia was highly recommended from a friend and we were happy to find she had availability when we needed help! Alicia is wonderful with our 2 labs. This is her second time with them and it means so much to know we are leaving our babies in trusted hands. We love the multi-daily pics and updates. Thank you Alicia!

My wife and I booked Dalton and Mariela for overnight house sitting for two weeks. Our Boston Terrier is 1 year and 4 months old old land we've not spent one night away with him since we've been owned by him. Suffice to say we were nervous leaving him for our first time, especially being so long. Throughout our trip, they texted us, providing us pictures of him an keeping us up to date. We came back from our trip to a healthy and happy dog. In addition and equally as important, our house was left in the same clean condition as we left it in. I would not hesitate to utilize their services. I know I will be using them again when we take another trip. Thank you once again Dalton Mariela!

Patricia and Steven were great! Really easy to communicate with and coordinate. And they were able to help me out at the last minute. Steven came to my house to sit my dog Squid and he was super friendly. We had really great conversations during the handoffs both before and after the sitting. He was super punctual and texted me photos of Squid while he was watching him. I would 100% rebook them in the future if I needed help watching Squid again. Squid seemed to really like him too!

Mitchell was great with our dogs, and helped us out with our last-minute booking. He was timely and really cared for the dogs. He gave them an extra walk and lots of attention and wore them out in the best way. We will definitely call on Mitchell again in the future.

All I can say is WE LOVE SARAH ! She is an amazing pet and house sitter ! She sent us photos several times a day and kept us updated ! Our house was spotless when we got home too !! Totally reliable, responsible, and trustworthy ! The sweetest gal ! Will have her back for sure ! Thank you Sarah !!!!!!!

FAQs for House Sitting - North Tustin
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in North Tustin on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 7,693 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across North Tustin. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred North Tustin walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in North Tustin maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Tustin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in North Tustin. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
