Ana was absolutely incredible!!! I truly cannot recommend her enough. From the moment she started watching our dog, Pixie Dixie, we knew she genuinely cared for her like family. Her communication was outstanding the entire stay. She sent constant updates, adorable photos, and thoughtful messages that gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Every update showed how loved and comfortable Pixie was. Ana went above and beyond with Pixie with playing with her constantly, introducing new games, cuddling with her on the couch, and even sleeping beside her because Pixie wanted to be close to her. Seeing how attached Pixie became says everything about the kind of person Ana is. She also took phenomenal care of our home. Everything was spotless, organized, and exactly as we left it. By the end of the stay, Ana no longer felt like “just” a Rover sitter — she felt like family. We trust her completely and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone caring, responsible, communicative, and truly wonderful with animals. Pixie already misses her, and so do we!

We could not be happier with our dog sitter! She has such a calm, caring energy, and our little 11-month-old pup absolutely adores her. From the moment they met, we could tell he felt comfortable and safe with her. She goes above and beyond by making sure he is well-fed, gets plenty of playtime, multiple walks each day, and lots of love and attention. It's clear she genuinely enjoys caring for dogs and treats them like her own. As pet parents, it gives us tremendous peace of mind knowing our puppy is in such great hands while we're away. We have been so impressed that we've already booked her for two more upcoming trips. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and compassionate dog sitter! 🐾❤️

Robert did an excellent job! He watched our three dogs in our apartment over the weekend. The puppy seemed a bit nervous at first, but clearly warmed up to him over the course of his stay. He communicated often and sent photos and videos of the pups as well. Thank you for taking such good care of them!

Esther was awesome! Petsitting 2 cattle dogs at the last minute was challenging, but she worked with me and my pets and got them in a routine within a day! She kept me informed every step of the way and never hesitated to answer my texts. I've already asked her how to contact her for future pet sitting. Raider, Sloane and I are grateful to Esther for everything. Thank you! ♥️

We couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter than Jingying! She took amazing care of our two puppies, Raina and Emma, while we were away for 10 days. Raina, our older girl, needs extra attention and daily medication, and Jingying handled her care with such patience, compassion, and attentiveness. It was such a relief knowing she was in good hands. Emma, our younger pup, is full of energy, and Jingying made sure she had plenty of playtime and love too. She kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. When we came home, both dogs were happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for. Jingying is responsible, kind, and clearly loves what she does. We’re so grateful to have found her and will absolutely be booking with her again. Highly recommend!

About: Cared for cats and dogs of all activity levels, ages, and medical needs. I am experienced in administering medicines, following strict schedules, and making sure pets are well adjusted while their parents are out of town. I have both a cat and a dog at home and have owned pets all my life. I am passionate about pet care and making sure pets feel well adjusted. I like to spend as much time with pets as I can an make sure that they have plenty of time to get their energy out. Depending on their comfortability, I find it works best to be present in their space so they know someone is there for them while their parents are out of town. For non-overnights I check in at least twice a day and spend some time after feedings to keep them company.

About: Since I was young, roughly 7 I worked with all different types of animals and breeds. The smallest I've worked with is snakes all the way to the biggest being Buffalo. So I'm pretty confident when it comes to dogs and cats. I have dog training under my belt, giving medications; I do not give injections however, I simply think it's too much of a risk. I also have senior care, so I'll take extra care to minimize any work the older animals will have to put in for anything when I'm with them. Throughout the week my schedule is open for a decent amount of it, so it helps In making my rover schedule pretty open and flexible for clients. For safety reasons I will never bring my personal dog, but for clients; I'll always make sure to follow every direction and precaution they have left me for their animals. Then of course take standard safety etiquette for when walking or exercising a clients animal.

We've booked Katie for house sitting and already have another upcoming booking with her. She's knowledgeable, kept our house clean, and was easy to communicate with. Katie provided excellent care for our high-energy puppy and showed great affection for our senior dog. We appreciated all the updates with photos and videos, which kept us reassured and worry-free. We were initially concerned about finding someone who could handle our puppy's playful nature, quirks, and challenging behaviors, but Katie quickly eased our worries. Both dogs seem happy and well cared for, and we're grateful to have found someone patient and understanding of our dog’s unique needs. Looking forward to our next booking! Thanks again!

Shhelby recently watched my dog when I was out of the country and did an amazing job. She left my place cleaner than she found it and most importantly I could tell she really cared about my dog. Strongly recommend her.

About: Dogs and cats have always been part of my life. I'm the go-to sitter for friends and family, and I genuinely love it. When I'm with your pet, they get real attention: walks, playtime, and someone who's present with them the whole time. I pay close attention to the animals in my care. On one stay, I noticed a dog had an injury the day after his owners left. I kept them informed and confident throughout the whole recovery, and by the time they got home, he was almost fully healed and thriving. You'll get regular updates and photos while you're gone so you can actually enjoy your trip. Your pet is family. I treat them that way. I work remotely, so I'm around throughout the day, no long stretches where your pet is alone. I can let them out anytime, squeeze in a walk or play session between calls, and actually be present in a way a 9-5 sitter can't. Weekends, I'm completely free and fully focused on them. I do house sitting out of your home, which means your pet stays in their own environment, their own routine, and their own space, no adjustment period, no stress. I travel light and show up with everything I need, so your home stays exactly as you left it. Your pet gets my full attention for the entire stay. I'm a homebody when I'm on a sit, I'm not rushing out or leaving them for long stretches. Your pet stays comfortable, calm, and well-loved the whole time you're away.

5 Paws!!!!! (stars;) If we could give more than five stars, we absolutely would! From the moment we left, we knew our three dogs and our home were in the very best hands. They sent frequent updates and adorable pictures that made us smile and gave us complete peace of mind. They were always quick to respond, incredibly thoughtful, and treated our dogs like they were their own. It was obvious how much love, attention, and care they gave them. When we came home, our dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly well loved. That says everything. Finding people you trust enough to stay in your home and care for your pets is priceless, and we feel so lucky to have found them. We truly hope they'll be available every time for us because we wouldn't hesitate for a second to invite them back. We recommend them with complete confidence to anyone looking for caring, trustworthy, dependable, and genuinely wonderful pet sitters. My wife and I booked Dalton and Mariela for overnight house sitting for two weeks. Our Boston Terrier is 1 year and 4 months old old land we've not spent one night away with him since we've been owned by him. Suffice to say we were nervous leaving him for our first time, especially being so long. Throughout our trip, they texted us, providing us pictures of him an keeping us up to date. We came back from our trip to a healthy and happy dog. In addition and equally as important, our house was left in the same clean condition as we left it in. I would not hesitate to utilize their services. I know I will be using them again when we take another trip. Thank you once again Dalton Mariela!

FAQs for House Sitting - North Tustin

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in North Tustin on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 7,693 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across North Tustin. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred North Tustin walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in North Tustin maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Tustin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in North Tustin. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
