“I have used Lena several times now for house sitting and she is always attentive and gives excellent updates. She clearly loves animals and my fluffs enjoy the time they have with her.”

“Kirsten is simply fabulous! She sat with our senior shih tzu who needs special attention, meds twice a day, hand feeding, the whole ridiculous spoiled pup scenario. She was so sweet and kind, enthusiastic and organized like a boss! We were so impressed with her professional approach and preparation. We would absolutely trust Kirsten with our baby any time!”

“Fabienne was fabulous. She kept us posted, sent photos and kept the house sparkling clean. The dogs seemed to have enjoyed their time with her and Fabienne definitely expressed her enjoyment to stay with our fur babies.”

“Can’t say enough good things about Sarah! Loved her interaction with my fur babies, loved her desire to learn about my dogs and ask questions, love the pictures and communication….. and absolutely love her professionalism . I believe Sarah will succeed at anything she chooses to do because of her great work ethic. Will definitely use her again!”

About: I am certified for cat and dog first aid! I have a passion for nature, art, and animals and I grew up around many different kinds of animals from dogs, goats, chickens, reptiles, and more. I am always thrilled to meet a new friend. I started pet-sitting in high school and I have always loved it. I worked in a grooming salon for a year and have the supplies for brushing, dematting, nail trims, paw pad trims, sanitary trims, gland expression, at home baths, blow drying, and more. Just ask me about my rates! I truly enjoy having animals in my day-to-day life. Being able to closely interact with pets and see their individual personalities makes each interaction special. I love pets of all kinds and I strive to meet the unique needs of every animal in my care. I will try to provide as much mental stimulation and exercise as I can for your pet and I will make sure to include fun photos in each Rover card. My schedule is usually pretty open on weekdays so just reach out to me and I'll let you know what time I'm available. I always love getting to know each pet's personality and quirks. I value the trust of every animal I interact with, and I work to understand their needs and boundaries. As I have pets of my own, I am unable to provide care within my own home, but I will happily come to yours to spend time with your pet.
“Athena was fantastic! She took exceptional care of our senior GSD, played soccer with her, rescued her from an unexpected dip in our spa (ball chasing), and communicated clearly. Bonus, she is a great pet photographer and we received several frame-worthy photos and really fun videos while we were away. Highly recommend.”

“We were so happy with Tracy. She is very professional and I felt very comfortable leaving my furry babies with her. The dogs loved her immediately. I would fully recommend her. And I would not hesitate to use her again.”

“Emily did an excellent job caring for Bambino. She kept us informed throughout the day with updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. She was attentive, professional, and clearly cared about his well-being. We especially appreciated the detailed progress report she provided at the end of the visit. We would gladly trust her with Bambino again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. Excellent job! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“So great and communicative! Our dog Sunny was sad from losing our other family dog and she just did everything to cheer him up! I felt so at peace knowing Sunny was in such good hands.”

“Thanks Jenn!! Excellent house sitting and wonderful to my cat and dog. They were relaxed and happy when we got home, always a sure sign of care and attention while we were away, we appreciate that so much!!”

“Kelsey truly went above and beyond while watching my baby girl Lily! She had no issues with administering Lily’s medications and vitamins! She sent plenty of pictures and I booked her for overnights and she was very respectful of the space! She treated Lily just as her own and I would definitely have her again watching over my heart on four paws! Thank you Kelsey!”

“Jade was so unbelievable to our youngest fur baby, Berk. She kept in constant contact with us regarding his well being and sent many pictures of him having the time of his life. At one point we were convinced he wouldn’t want us to come back! Jade treated Berk like her own and showed a great deal of respect for him, us and our home. We highly recommend Jade!”

About: Hello, my name is Maira and I’m a life long animal lover. I’ve had all kinds of pets and cared for everything from turtles to fish, hamsters and birds, a rabbit, cats and dogs. Although I love all animals, Dogs are where my heart melts! I’ve taken care of friend’s dogs as well as helped friends and family basic train their small and large breed dogs. I have 10+ years of experience with dogs of all sizes and ages including my 90lb high energy Doberman which taught me a lot. If you remember one thing from my page I hope it’s this; I will take care of your furry babies as if they were my own. Monday through Friday I am available 6:30am - 6:30pm to care for your furry family. Saturdays and Sundays I am available 7:00am -7:00pm. If you need me outside of this time frame please let me know. During a drop in visit, I let your fur child out for a potty break and ensure they have plenty of water, food, and treats (if you okay the treats before hand) then hang out, play, and love on them for the remainder of the 30mins. During a walk booking, I will pick up your dog for a walk around the neighborhood. Which can be part structural and part sniffing to mentally stimulate and not just physically work out. The goal is a happy healthy pupper (and yes a 10 y/o is still a pupper) you will receive photos of our adventures and a message informing you how your baby’s walk went. Rain or Shine! Your Dog’s safety is my top priority. If it’s too hot or it is raining we will alter our walks with either a rain jacket or walking indoors at a near by pet friendly store. I am prepared with towels, plenty of water and a pet first aid kit should we ever need anything.
“Esther is such an amazing person , so positive, loving, and full of warmth! She cared for my dogs and cats with so much love and even helped me organize my home. She’s truly perfect, and I’ll definitely work with her again. I trust her completely with my babies and can’t recommend her enough!”

“Our first time using an in home sitter and couldn’t be happier 😊 Ryan was excellent with the dogs and left the house spotless!! He communicated frequently, sent lots of photos, just an excellent young man. Thank You Ryan 🙏🙏”

“Amyra was awesome and I would highly recommend her! She was very responsive from the beginning. As soon as she met our dogs we could tell she is a ‘dog person’. She sent several pictures and provided updates daily. We are moving out of state, but if we were staying Amyra would be our go to dog sitter!!”

Ryan is simply wonderful. He stayed with our dog and cat for 6 days. He immediately became friends with our dog (and she’s quite a handful). Our cat didn’t accept him right away, but he wasn’t put off and found an approach with her - and after just 2 days they were already best friends. He always sent us photo updates and wrote about how the animals were doing. We can see that our pets didn’t miss us at all while Ryan was with them. He’s now number one on our list of pet sitters. Thank you so much.

I couldn’t be happier finding Fabienne to care for our 3 dogs for 3 days. We have a puppy as well as a very shy GSD and she was so patient with all of our dogs and I’m grateful. It shows how much Fabienne truly cares for animals. She is a great communicator and sent plenty of updates. We are so lucky we found a great pet sitter and look forward to the next time she can look after our pups.

Brittney was amazing with our 11 week old puppy. I was so nervous about leaving him due to a work event, but was immediately set at ease with her calm personality and loving demeanor. I got updates and pictures regularly and was able to do what I needed to do for my job while knowing my puppy was safe and loved. Thank you!!!

Mattie always does a great job with our pets and our house. Our dog gets very anxious when we leave and has had chewing and potty issues with other pet sitters. Mattie gives her the love and attention she needs to calm her nerves and we have had zero issues with her as our pet sitter.
Holly cow!! If you can, book Tiffany!! We needed someone to spend a FULL day (15 hours+!) with our three dogs. A 15 year old Husky, a 7 year old Husky, and a 5 year old Australian shepherd. Our Aussie is very skittish and nervous by nature and does not do well with strangers. But Tiffany had her calm in minutes!!! And to top that, our Aussie even cuddled up with Tiffany!! Tiffany sent us updates and pictures throughout the day to ease our minds, read to the dogs, and watched movies with them to make them feel at home! I can not express how much Tiffany eased our minds and allowed my family and I to spend a full day at Disneyland without worry!! I'll for be calling Tiffany any time my family and I need a dog sitter when we're in town!
I couldn't be happier with the care my dog received! Ashley went above and beyond-she was not only attentive and loving with my pup, but also thoughtful and respectful in taking care of my home. It's clear she truly cares and takes pride in her work. I felt completely at ease knowing my dog was in such good hands. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a responsible, caring and hardworking sitter!

Thank you Ariel for another wonderful sit with Martini and Frida! They adore you and Brandon so much and always look forward to your stays here. We are so fortunate to have found you as you give them the best care we have ever had from any sitter. Your photos, videos, updates always make my day and I can tell they are in such great hands and happy while we are away! If anyone reading Ariel's reviews is apprehensive leaving their fur baby in someone else's care, do yourself a favor and hire her. They will be in the best hands possible.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Yorba Linda on Rover is $66.43 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Yorba Linda walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Yorba Linda maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Yorba Linda choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Yorba Linda. On Rover:

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
