We could not be happier with our dog sitter! She has such a calm, caring energy, and our little 11-month-old pup absolutely adores her. From the moment they met, we could tell he felt comfortable and safe with her. She goes above and beyond by making sure he is well-fed, gets plenty of playtime, multiple walks each day, and lots of love and attention. It's clear she genuinely enjoys caring for dogs and treats them like her own. As pet parents, it gives us tremendous peace of mind knowing our puppy is in such great hands while we're away. We have been so impressed that we've already booked her for two more upcoming trips. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and compassionate dog sitter! 🐾❤️

Ana is an EXCEPTIONAL pet sitter!!! The best ever! I can't say enough nice things about her. She Sent pictures of him and communicated with me on a daily basis, while on a 12 day cruise! She gave him a bath, medication, and hand fed him when he was reluctant To eat. She left my house sparkling - totally clean & my Yorkie looking super healthy and cute! She was an angel - took care of my little dog like he was her own. I know he was sad to see her leave - but we will Always call her in the future! Thank you Ana!!!🌺❤️ You are truly an amazing person!!

Angelina was absolutely wonderful with my little dog, Peach. From the moment she arrived, I felt completely at ease knowing he was in caring and trustworthy hands. She was kind, attentive, patient, and treated him with genuine love and affection. It’s not easy to leave your pet with someone else, but Angelina made the entire experience stress-free and reassuring. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and professional pet sitter. Thank you, Angelina, for taking such great care of my little boy! ❤️

This was our first time hiring a stay-at-home Rover, and we feel so lucky that it was Kaylee. She took such great care of our dog and was so mindful and respectful of our home. She was wonderful during the meet-and-greet - she arrived promptly, spent about 30min w/ us, and took the time to get to know our dog, Vanta. She was experience in animal healthcare, and I could tell from the way she approached Vanta (who isn't the friendliest at first!) that she is confident working w/ dogs and knows what she is doing. All weekend, she sent photos and updates that showed how comfortable and happy Vanta was with her. I felt completely at ease knowing she was in good hands! Highly recommend Kaylee :)

About: I have been both a cat and dog owner, and have taken care of friends' pets before. I do not have experience training puppies or taking care of senior or special needs animals! But I am responsible, responsive, and flexible. I like going for walks and also just relaxing with your pets at home. I am also more than happy to do other services like feeding fish, watering plants, and taking in mail for longer house sitting bookings. I have an open and flexible schedule! I just graduated with my masters and don't start my full time job for another few months. I can pretty much be available all throughout the day. I will not be offering pet boarding in my home, but rest assured I will treat your own home with the utmost respect. I have no interest in your personal belongings, and I would never leave behind a mess. I'm just a 20-something looking to go for walks to slim down and make extra money while I enjoy my summer before starting my full-time job.

About: Since I was young, roughly 7 I worked with all different types of animals and breeds. The smallest I've worked with is snakes all the way to the biggest being Buffalo. So I'm pretty confident when it comes to dogs and cats. I have dog training under my belt, giving medications; I do not give injections however, I simply think it's too much of a risk. I also have senior care, so I'll take extra care to minimize any work the older animals will have to put in for anything when I'm with them. Throughout the week my schedule is open for a decent amount of it, so it helps In making my rover schedule pretty open and flexible for clients. For safety reasons I will never bring my personal dog, but for clients; I'll always make sure to follow every direction and precaution they have left me for their animals. Then of course take standard safety etiquette for when walking or exercising a clients animal.

About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life, all with very different personalities! I also started pet sitting from a very young age. I’m good with all ages, from puppies to seniors! I currently work on weekdays, so I’m available full time on the weekends, and anytime before 8 am and after 5 pm on Monday through Friday. At home, I have two dogs that live in the house and have access to a fenced in yard! However, I will only be able to accept services within the clients own home, so I will care for their pets however they feel is best!

About: Hello! I’m Chloe and I would love to be the next sitter for your fur babies! I have been working with Rover for about 2 years now and have always had a great experience with both being a sitter and using the sitting services. As a current student, I have ample time to take care of your fur babies diligently and make sure they are the happiest they can be! We have a yard and park where they can run and play. As a pet owner myself, I make sure to allot plenty of time to spend with your pet 😁 I have a secure, fenced yard where your pets can run and play! I also have a large park nearby where I can use a long leash and have them run around!

About: I am the biggest dog person you will ever meet! I grew up taking care of a dog until my senior year of high school when she sadly passed away. In my senior year of college my roommate and I owned and took care of a senior dog. After she passed I decided to provide dog sitting services in the Berkeley area. I have experience with both large and small dogs, dogs that are leash reactive, dogs that are anxious, and dogs with a ton of energy! Additionally, throughout high school and over COVID I volunteered at a local animal shelter and provided dog walking and dog sitting services in Orange County! I've been told that I have a way with dogs, with many owners surprised that their normally timid pup warms up to me quickly. If you need to know your dog's in good hands, I am more than happy to give them a wonderful stay! I am home for two months this summer before I move to Ireland. My only plan for the summer is get ready for my move as well as train for my first marathon! I'm also looking to spend as much time outdoors as possible, including the park, the beach, hikes, and walks, that I would gladly have a furry friend accompany me on. In the evenings I typically like to get cozy and read or watch TV, and I would appreciate a cuddle buddy. I have a big, fenced backyard that would be any dog's paradise! I'm also more than happy to take any dog on a field trip to have some fun in the sun! I can provide lengthy walks multiple times a day and even have the dog accompany me on runs if they need to get some of their extra energy out.

Shhelby recently watched my dog when I was out of the country and did an amazing job. My dog was having tummy issues and Shhelby handled it so well, was very conscientious, and sent me thorough and frequent updates. She left my place cleaner than she found it and most importantly I could tell she really cared about my dog. Strongly recommend her.

5 Paws!!!!! (stars;) If we could give more than five stars, we absolutely would! From the moment we left, we knew our three dogs and our home were in the very best hands. They sent frequent updates and adorable pictures that made us smile and gave us complete peace of mind. They were always quick to respond, incredibly thoughtful, and treated our dogs like they were their own. It was obvious how much love, attention, and care they gave them. When we came home, our dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly well loved. That says everything. Finding people you trust enough to stay in your home and care for your pets is priceless, and we feel so lucky to have found them. We truly hope they'll be available every time for us because we wouldn't hesitate for a second to invite them back. We recommend them with complete confidence to anyone looking for caring, trustworthy, dependable, and genuinely wonderful pet sitters. Thank you for taking such incredible care of our home and our furry family!

FAQs for House Sitting - Orange Park Acres

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Orange Park Acres on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 8,074 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Orange Park Acres. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Orange Park Acres walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Orange Park Acres maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Orange Park Acres choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Orange Park Acres. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
