“Naylea took great care of our girl, Sadie! She had rapport with her right away and seeing Sadie trust her put us at ease. She administered her insulin and sent us pics along the way to assure us of her care. We recommend her and hope to have her return.”

“Judit took great care of our dog, Ozzie, during her drop in visits to our home. She even went above and beyond and unpacked his food delivery into the freezer for us, which was super helpful. We will definitely book Judit again!”

“Today’s was Mairas first time doing a drop in it visit with canelo while I was at work and she did great she sent me pics and he seems very happy playing with her , she fed him and even gives her his paw. The first time she walked him canelo seemed to instantly trust and like her and today’s drop in visit just further proves it. We will definitely continue you booking with Maira.”

About: Just moved back to OC. I have been a private/personal dog walker for elite clients for 2 years in the Los Angeles area. Absolutely adore dogs! I am currently working part time with plenty of time to play and love your dogs. I have a flexible schedule and can work around yours. I will always respect the clients household, and their household rules. I understand that each furry family member has specific needs, and I will keep those needs always top of mind
About: I’ve worked with dogs of all temperaments for over 2 years, growing up in a house with pets including ones with special needs I am able to accommodate and care for pups that need extra attention! I’m a college student, other than classes I am free. I am free on weekdays and weekends at odd hours given my current class schedule! I am familiar with homes of different environments and can quickly adapt to your pets needs! I’ve worked with animals of all different routines. Including crate training.
“We've had Chelsea cat sit for us twice while we've been away on extended trips, and she's been the best sitter we've had through Rover. Her attention to detail and communication stood out from the rest, and she always makes sure to fit in some playtime for our cats!”

About: I've own a small dog and have owned a large dog for 6 years so I'm very familiar with them! I am a full time student and just trying to do something I'd love while making a bit of money. I'm an early childhood education major and 23 years old. I'll make sure to follow very special instructions if needed. I had a dog that once had cancer so medications or anything else of the sort won't be an issue for me. I have conversational spanish skills (not fluent but I'm trying haha) and I do have my seal of biliteracy! Pit bulls will never be an issue for me, I basically grew up with only pit bulls. I've loved dogs for as long as I knew what a dog was and I'm very passionate about my work! I look forward to meeting you! I'm currently working part time as a nanny and look to care for your fur babies before and after work or on my days off. I'm familiar with crate training (since I do so with my own dog) and can easily follow your dogs routine to make them as comfortable as possible during their stay with me!
“Absolutely love Ragina!!! I’m so happy I finally found someone to care for my pets like they are her own while I am away. She followed directions to a T and sent very cute pics and videos of the dogs and birds. Ragina was very communicative and caring. I will definitely be booking with her again!!”

“My pup and I are so glad we found Esteban! He is punctual, friendly, and has an overall humble and calm presence. My pup warmed up to him quickly and enjoys his drop-in visits for playtime. My pup is dog-reactive, and Esteban is willing to work with him with a goal of eventually taking him out on walks. It’s clear he loves dogs and I can’t say thank you enough. Esteban is such a big help for us and it gives me relief knowing that on days when I’m gone for so long, my dog has someone great spending time with him. I will definitely keep booking with Esteban!”

About: While I’m new to Rover, I’ve been caring for pets and homes for over 15 years. I have experience with dogs, cats, senior pets, medication administration, and multi-pet households. I’m excited to bring that experience to Rover and build lasting relationships with local pet families. (: FUN FACT: I have the same birthday as Caesar Milan, so I’m kinda like a dog whisperer 🤪 I’m a housewife with no pets or children of my own. I do theater every now and then but overall my schedule is wide open and ready to share the love and care necessary for your furry companion. I’m not sure why Rover says I don’t allow animals on the furniture. I don’t mind unless it’s a rule within your home to keep them down (: I will honor all of your wishes with caring for your loved one and treat them as if they were my own. I have a fenced backyard and safe neighborhood for walks. Your furry friends will be protected and their comfort is always going to be top priority whether in your home or mine. (:
About: Hi! I’m Alex, and I specialize in caring for senior dogs and smaller/medium pups. Over the past year, I’ve been fostering a dog while working closely with a professional trainer. This has given me hands-on experience with different behaviors, routines, and training needs. I am available during evenings and weekends. I currently work at a coffee shop and get off early in the day. I can attend to pets after work. I may be helpful for those with late-night jobs, such as bartenders or event hosts. Dog Walking – I will always go to you. I have treats (and water + a bowl!) to keep pups happy and hydrated. My walks are calm, full of sniffs, and focused on comfort. If you’re training your dog, I’ll keep things consistent. I can also provide more high-energy walks. I do NOT pull or tug dogs. Drop-In Visits – I’ll feed your pup, refresh their water, and give them love, playtime, or cuddles so they feel cared for while you’re away. I can also do a quick 15-minute potty break during this time. *If you have an elderly dog: I prefer to use the treats you normally give them to avoid upsetting their stomach. Please provide treats you’d like me to use.
“Jennifer did a great drop-in. We had some technical difficulties with my apartment's access and she was very communicative while we were troubleshooting. Thank you so much for the help!”

I hired Maira for drop-in visits to play with and feed my pups while I was away on a business trip. I don’t usually travel for work because I’ve seen too many horror stories on social media about negligent pet sitters, so I was pretty skeptical. But Maira completely put my mind at ease from the very beginning. She immediately scheduled a meet and greet and completed a detailed questionnaire about my babies, which was so helpful—especially since Aura was being particularly finicky with her food that week. During the meet and greet, it was clear how genuinely passionate Maira is about animals. She made me feel completely comfortable leaving my pups with someone who, at the time, was a stranger but now feels like family. While I was away, Maira checked in right upon arrival and sent tons of pictures and videos of my pups playing and having a wonderful time. Those updates brought me so much relief and happiness. Knowing they were happy, well cared for, and enjoying themselves made all the difference. If you’re looking for someone to walk your dog, do drop-ins to play and feed, or house sit while you’re on vacation or a business trip, I highly recommend Maira. She truly treats your pets like her own family members. You can trust her completely! 🐾
Connie did an incredible job checking in on our cats!! She followed our instructions well on how to feed, clean up, and play with our boys which we really appreciated! She provided details on how each visit went and even shared photos and videos with us! She was gentle in every interaction and I know that my cats really enjoyed her company 😻 We truly felt at ease being away because we knew they were in good hands!! If you want someone attentive and reliable for drop-ins, Connie is your person. ☺️

Marco was a huge help in checking on our Lucky last minute, especially having never met her. We are so thankful to him for being available and so accommodating. He quickly bonded with her and met all her needs! She was in great hands. Would recommend him 10/10!

Jennifer took great care of my cat while I was away. She sent updates and photos, which I really appreciated, and it was obvious my cat was in good hands. I came home to a happy cat and everything was just as I left it. I’d definitely book with Jennifer again.

Kristina is so good with our feral, scaredy-cat, girl! Especially over the 4th of July weekend with all of the loud noises and fireworks going off! Kristina is very patient with Scamper, and always sends pictures and a blurb about how she’s doing. I appreciate Kristina’s time and efforts with Scamper. 🫶

We’ve had Armand watch our cats multiple times, and he is truly the best cat sitter we could ask for. Both of our cats absolutely adore him, which gives us so much peace of mind whenever we’re away. Armand is always communicative and sends plenty of pictures and video (exactly what every pet parent wants to see while on vacation!). He also pays special attention to our cat’s medical needs, which reassures us that he’s receiving the care and attention he requires. Thank you, Armand, for always taking such great care of our cats. It’s clear how much they love you, and hearing how excited they get when you arrive says it all!

Mirae is the cat whisperer! My kitties are so shy that they hide from everybody. The minute someone comes to the door they are just streaks diving under the bed. But they let Mirae pet them and even asked for attention. Mirae was faithful to the times I requested and sent pictures so I could see how good the kitties were.doing. I will definitely be using Mirae’s services again!

I couldn’t be happier with the care my puppy received! Anne was a great sitter. Even during a short visit, she made sure my puppy was well cared for, comfortable, and happy. I appreciated the updates and the peace of mind knowing my fur baby was in good hands. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter, and I look forward to booking with her again in the future. Thank you for taking such great care of Latte!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
