“I have 2 big dogs, one of whom is nervous around new people. When Elaina came to meet them, both dogs immediately took to her. She has a calm, confident presence and so obviously looooooves dogs! My dogs are affectionate with a lot of personality, she has fun with them but doesn’t let them run her over. I feel so much better traveling for work knowing that she is checking in on my babies!”

“AO is really amazing. She is the consumate professional, taking the best care of my furry ones. She is very dedicated, my dogs responded well to her, and she's just awesome! I definitely recommend Ao; I'll be using her again in the future.”
“We’re so grateful to Britney for taking such great care of our dogs, Cookie and Chocolate, while we were away. She kept us updated with messages and photos, which really gave us peace of mind while we were out of town. She spent time playing with them, cleaned up after them, and was always very attentive to how they were doing. She also let us know when things like their food or pee pads were running low, which we really appreciated. On top of that, she went above and beyond in ways we didn’t expect. Our dogs can be a little mischievous and made a bit of a mess, and she helped clean up the things they had gotten into. She even washed their towels and blankets, which was incredibly kind of her. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. Cookie and Chocolate seemed very comfortable with her, and we felt really lucky to have someone so thoughtful looking after them. We would absolutely book with Britney again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their pets.”

About: I’ve had animals (cats, dogs, horses, fish) my whole life and they’re my world! I love going for walks and playing with pups especially since my dog’s passing. I’m a volunteer dog Walker for several rescues. I was recently laid off looking to help others while trying to do things I love, be productive, etc. I work remotely/flexible schedule when I do. I have a lot of flexibility and availability 7 days a week including any last minute requests for sitting or walks. I really enjoy helping others with their pets so their demand doesn’t feel so stressful and their babies are happy. Good animal care is so important! I mirror the pet with their comfort level and desired level of attention/closeness. I’m good with animals and love them more than most people haha
“Samantha has been checking on Miss Spooky for a month now and everything has been wonderful! I travel quite often and she has been able to stop by every time I’ve requested! I highly recommend Samantha!”

About: I’ve had animals my whole life! I love being around them and getting to know new personalities! I also work with and ride horses! I am currently taking lessons! I work a part time job so I’ll likely be doing dog walking on the weekends! Occasionally I will be walking on weekdays as well! I have a fenced house! My two dogs love people and meeting new friends! They are very friendly and loving. My two cats love dogs/other cats and are very nonchalant.
“Linda is wonderful! She comforted and won over my nervous dogs. It is so nice to know that someone who cares and loves dogs so much is watching them. I highly recommend her services.”

About: Hi, my name is Jaspreet; I also go by Jassie. I’m excited to join Rover because I love animals. My services include dog sitting, providing exercise and companionship to ensure their well-being. I’m dedicated to creating a safe, fun, and comfortable environment for every dog in my care. I’m working part time right now. My schedule is pretty flexible where I can work around it and fit my clients schedule if needed to take care of their pet. I make sure the pet feels comfortable around me. I can meet the clients and their pet beforehand so they can get to know me. I follow their feeding schedule and take them for walks and make sure they’re well taken care of.
“Sofía was very kind, generous, and communicated with us well. She showed that she cared about our pet with her check in’s and pictures which we looked forward to! Additionally, she was very thorough and thoughtful with her descriptions and care. We would definitely recommend her and rebook with her :)”

About: Cats have always been in my rotation in regards to pet check-ins. I’m reliable, communicative, and try to make visits feel as normal and stress free as possible for both pets and owners. My flexible work schedule allows me to be free most of the day. I work around my pet check-in commitments. I can usually accommodate any check-in times. I currently offer drop in visits and care in the pet owner’s home rather than boarding in my own home. I keep pets comfortable by sticking closely to their normal routine, including feeding, potty breaks, playtime, walks, medication if needed, and plenty of attention. I also make communication a priority and send updates and photos during visits so owners know their pets are doing well.
About: I have taken care of my own pets for 15+ years, especially my golden retrievers I have had for 13 years. I have often been the main caregiver (vet visits, feeding, bathing, walking, and play) for all my pets. I have an affinity for all animals and especially love making new fur friends everywhere I go. I am currently seeking part-time work while also allowing myself the ability to work with pets and assist owners with help in raising their fur family members for a fair price and a kind heart. I have a fenced in yard, however I live in a more natural setting that has coyotes, so my pets stay mostly indoors with me. I have created pet friendly spaces for them (taking in account of dangers that could affect them like plants, allergens, and uncomfortable noises). I make sure to be aware of pets fears, anxieties, and allergies when I am in charge. The more information I have, the better care and love I can give.
About: I have had pets ever since I can remember and I have been pet-sitting now for 3 years. I house-sit and pet-sit for as long as 2 weeks. I really enjoy getting to meet and take care of pets that are different from my own. I can’t have dogs in the house I currently live in, so it is a blessings to take care of your dogs and cats! I am working part time this summer, so I will have plenty of time to care for your pets! I am scheduling my events and previous work around making time for your animals. This is one of my top priorities! I am so excited to not just care for your pets but your home while you are away. I am a professional and have been doing this job for a long time outside of Rover, but am excited to collaborate with Rover. I promise that I will take care of your most beloved assets and family members.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all ages..from training puppies to elderly dogs. I will love your pet like my own. I’ll walk them, play with them and make sure they are safe, snuggled and spoiled. My schedule is very flexible. I have plenty of time in my schedule to be available throughout the day for multiple drop-ins or walks if needed. I’m very trust worthy and love to walk and hike. I enjoy playing tug of war or fetch with your fur baby and of course lots of snuggles.
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was young. My whole life I have had pets in my home.I have taken care of young dogs, puppies, and even senior dogs. I only have a part time job at in n out so during the week & weekends I don’t have much to do. I really love animals and I don’t like going out so when I get home I love to spend it with pets. I make sure I keep an eye out on the pet and ensure the house is in the same condition as it was left. Feel free to reach out :)
“Joyce is the best dog sitter I have used. She is very caring and responsible person and will go above and beyond every time. I would definitely recommend her to any dog parents looking for a good dog sitter.”

About: As a dog parents and human parents we know how hard it is to trust your baby with someone. Dogs have a special place in my heart and I guarantee to take care of yours as if they were my own. I have two dogs at home and they adore having dogs over to play & dogs to accompany our walks. We have a giant 5 section yard with horse property that we got specifically for our dogs. I am providing a personal experience with sitting, boarding & walking. With 12 years of experience caring for dogs, I understand when dogs need to play, rest , drink water, eat & just have affection. I also know that exercise is key. Happy dogs use their energy and prey drive on play time & let off some steam. Dogs are with me inside my home & also go on errands with me; however I have a huge yard for play time. They are inside dogs & will be watching movies or cuddling but also get their car rides & plenty of playtime outside in the yard.
“Josephine is sweet and caring. We’ve been visiting her for several times; and we introduce our friend to her that their dog loves her as well. 💕 Will definitely recommend her to anyone who wants their fur babies to be taken care in a good hand. :)”

We had a great experience with Regina! She took wonderful care of our cat while we were away for a week. Communication was excellent, and it gave us peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for cat and would definitely recommend Regina’s services. Thank you!

This was my first time having to leave my cat with anyone other than family. Linda was so attentive, always checking up on Hera on time, ensuring she had enough food, water, and pets and playtime! She checked in to make sure that with the summer heat she could keep the apartment cool, and when Hera broke a toy she fixed it up for her! Linda was absolutely amazing, and I hope to hire her again next time I have to go out of town!

Emily was so amazing! She was communicative and attentive throughout the drop ins making my dog Mari feel so loved and taken care of when I was away! I also loved all the pic updates where Mari looked so happy. I can tell Mari was so comfortable when I went back. So happy to find someone so sweet! Would definitely rebook again! :)

This is the first time I used Rover, and I am so happy to have found Elaina!! She was so great with her communication and updates on my cats she even saw my stray cat and managed to get a video of him for me as well as twice daily video and or pictures of my cats. Elaina was so reliable, which made my trip so much better as I wasn’t worried about how my cats were doing, I just knew they were in good hands with her. I will defiantly use her again, and recommend you give her a try. Elaina was really great!
We had a great experience with Joyce! She provided drop in visits for our kitten. She was very professional, pleasant and communicative. She provided detailed entries during her visits, including photos, which made us feel so at ease. Our kitten had a great time playing with her. I felt very comfortable working with her and will definitely be using her again for future visits!

This is the second time we have used Clarissa. She’s been punctual and on time. She has to give our dogs pills and medicine since one has seizures and special dog food. She’s been responsible and all the dogs get along with her. Her rates are reasonable and affordable. We highly recommend her. Thanks again for everything and until next time.

I needed Chloe to let the dogs out so they could relieve themselves and play with her because maintenance was supposed to be working in the back and the dogs couldn’t be outside while they were there. Chloe did what was asked and administered one of my dog’s glaucoma medications, which she is familiar with after staying with them for over a week. Needless to say, Chloe is punctual, reliable, and trust worthy. She is now our go-to dog sitter/house sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
