I’ve been caring for animals my entire life and grew up on a farm, where I was hands on with daily feeding, cleaning, health checks, and overall care for a wide range of animals. My experience goes beyond household pets and includes livestock and small animals, giving me a strong foundation in animal behavior, safety, and routine based care. Over the years, I’ve worked with and owned dogs, cats, rats, birds, reptiles, and aquatic species. This includes high experience lizards, tortoises and turtles, spiders, and large fish that require specific habitat setups, temperature control, and consistent maintenance. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions for feeding schedules, enclosure cleaning, lighting and heating needs, and handling animals with very different temperaments and routines. My farm experience includes assisting with animal births, such as helping deliver piglets, as well as hatching and raising chickens from chicks. These experiences taught me how to stay calm, observant, and attentive to animals’ needs, especially in situations that require patience, cleanliness, and responsibility. I currently have two well-trained, energetic dogs of my own, so I understand the importance of consistency, structure, enrichment, and safety. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, high-energy dogs, seniors, and pets with unique personalities or established routines. I welcome pets of all kinds and genuinely enjoy learning each animal’s unique routine, preferences, and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.
