Upon meeting Rustom, my boyfriend, Theo was so playful and happy and is genuinely so excited to see him all the time! On walks together Theo loves to run and Rustom is always more than happy to accompany him, and the two of them will run for many blocks. Rustom is always looking out for Theo's safety, knowing when to be wary of bigger dogs, but when to allow some interactions with other dogs. I love seeing the two of them interact and it really makes me happy that Rustom likes Theo, but more than anything I love that Theo likes and trusts Rustom.”

About: I recently learned that in Hawaiian, you don't call yourself your pet's owner. You are their Kahu. Kahu has many meanings, among them guardian, protector, steward, beloved, attendant. I am happy to help you care for your pet-babies. I have had dogs, cats, birds, fish, currently a dog and three parrots. I am a somatic practitioner working from home, I have breaks of availability throughout the day most days and I am usually available evenings and weekends. My schedule is set 3 days out so I will know my schedule and be availability to commit. I am diligent in caring for your pet in the ways you outline/need. We cannot always know what they are thinking so I always err towards caution.

About: While I have my own shiba inu who is mischievous but lovable, I’d love to care for anyone’s dog who needs help! I love dog walks and taking my dog to to the dog park so I don’t mind doing the same for other doggos. I love morning and evening walks and can fit that into my flexible schedule. I sometimes WFH so I can even throw in a lunch walk every now and then! When your dog is walking with me, they’ll be more than safe. I always look both ways and cautious about other dogs approaching. I’m alert which helps me circumvent any challenges that may be thrown my way.

“Marissa came to our home to feed and play with our kitten twice a day for about a week. She was wonderful with communication, made time to come over twice before the booking even began to figure out logistics and get to know our pet, and even bought her a new toy while we were away! She sent lots of great photos and videos from every visit and made us feel completely comfortable leaving our kitty at home. When our flight was delayed coming home she came for an extra visit. 100% would recommend!”
