About: I recently learned that in Hawaiian, you don't call yourself your pet's owner. You are their Kahu. Kahu has many meanings, among them guardian, protector, steward, beloved, attendant. I am happy to help you care for your pet-babies. I have had dogs, cats, birds, fish, currently a dog and three parrots. I am a somatic practitioner working from home, I have breaks of availability throughout the day most days and I am usually available evenings and weekends. My schedule is set 3 days out so I will know my schedule and be availability to commit. I am diligent in caring for your pet in the ways you outline/need. We cannot always know what they are thinking so I always err towards caution.

About: I cared for my golden retriever that lived to be 14 years old, a long and happy life! He was my birthday gift when I was 8 years old. Since then, I have grown to love dogs so much. Rocky is no longer with us, but when he was alive, I took him on walks weekly. My family has a large yard, so I was always outside playing fetch, tug o war, or frisbee with him. He also became my pandemic study buddy, always at my feet when the world was forced to work from home. I currently have a cat that is about 3 years old. She is quite easy and low maintenance to take care of. She loves getting brushed, so I brush her once a week. Outside of my own pets, I have cared for my boss’, colleagues’, and friends' pets by feeding, taking on walks, going to the dog park, and playing with their toys in the yard. I have cared for golden retrievers, golden doodles, German shepherds, French bull dogs, and Shih Tzu dogs ranging from 3-14 years old. I have cared for different types of cats ranging from 1-8 years old. I mostly work from home via laptop, so I can work from anywhere with the flexibility to care for your pets throughout the day. The flexibility of working remote gives me the opportunity to spend quality time with your pets - playing, walking, and cuddling. For the most part, I am very flexible and available. Every couple of hours I dedicate 20-30 min to your pets throughout the day. I walk dogs however many times a day you prefer. One of my previous clients asked that I walk her dog three times a day: once in the morning, after work, and before bed, so I did. Others have asked that I do not walk the dog, but I play with them in the backyard for a few hours. The time I dedicate to your pets will vary based on your pet’s needs. I will do whatever you prefer, and whatever your pet is most comfortable with. I am a cuddler, so if your pets are known to love cuddling, they will feel lots of love when I am taking care of them!

About: Description: My family and I live in Rowland Heights. There are parks everywhere within a 1-2 mile radius that I always take my dog River too. My dog is friendly to other animals and walks well on leash, if your pet is also friendly I wont hesitate with your permission for River to join us! Regardless if your dog is high or low energy, I will accommodate to their as well as your needs/ expectations. About Jennifer T.: I am a vet tech major at Mt.Sac and studying to become an animal surgeon in the future. My day to day life is moderately active, I love to hike and go on walks depending on my dog’s ( River) energy level and I hope soon yours too. I would love to have the opportunity to spread my love for animals as well as learn from your loved one while you are away. Pet Experience/ Special Skills: - Trimming nails - Administering pills ( will just need early notice that the specific animal needs medication ) - Caring for animals with different backgrounds and energy level ( I have fostered cats and dogs ) I’m currently working part time therefore I’ll make sure that your pet gets the daily recommended amount for their age and breed! Working in an animal hospital, I have seen many dogs with different health and activity schedule therefore I will listen to the client at hand and work with what is best for the pet.
