“Rod is awesome! He took the time to meet my dog, Olive before his drop in visit and his warm smile and calm, confident demeanor told me that she was in good hands! You will instantly see how passionate he is about dog care. After his drop in visit, I noticed that Olive seemed much more at ease when I got home from work which is such an improvement from her normally anxious personality. He made sure to let me know in detail about how the visit was and the pictures he sent showed me that my dog has a new best friend in Rod!”

“Annie was wonderful with my fur-babies. She took my one rescue pup’s shyness and reservation due to her rough start in life into consideration, and didn’t push her or make her do anything she didn’t want to. She made sure to send updates after each visit with pictures, and came home to an awesome report card with a very sweet note about the full day. Food dishes were washed, everything cleaned up. The next time we need a dog sitter, or someone to stay with our fur-kids while we go on vacation, Annie will be our first call. Thank you again, Annie, for taking such wonderful care of my pups and my home. ?”

“Nina was great!! You could totally tell she has a great Affection for dogs! This is the first time I used rover and I had a very last minute. Nina came through and I was at ease with her checking in on my dog while I was away. My dog is very shy and is not open to new people and he opened up to her instantly! Will definitely use her again on my next trip!”

About: Hello, I’m Cendrina (CC), a veterinary student offering professional dog walking, house visits, and training support. As a DVM student, I bring both a strong passion for animal care and hands on experience handling dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels; from shy and anxious to bold and high energy. I began dog walking in my hometown of Reno, Nevada at 16 and have continued ever since. I’ve recently moved to Chino Hills and am excited to continue providing reliable pet care in the golden state. I’m especially comfortable working with dogs that need a calm, patient approach. I prioritize safety, routine, and clear communication, and I tailor each visit to your dog’s individual needs and personality ensuring they are comfortable. During walks and house visits, I focus on maintaining routines, providing proper exercise and care, and ensuring your pet’s overall wellbeing. I also provide consistent updates and photos so you can feel informed and confident while you’re away. In addition I also enjoy running and am happy to include light jogging or running with high energy dogs, when appropriate and safe. This is especially helpful for dogs that need more than a standard walk and benefit from extra physical activity to stay balanced and relaxed. I am currently on summer break and only working about 20 hours per week, which allows me a flexible schedule for pet care visits. I will also be away for two weeks during the summer; however, outside of that time, I have strong availability for regular visits. In addition, I run 4–5 times per week and would be happy to include leash walks or jogging with dogs who enjoy extra exercise and are comfortable with that level of activity. For safety and comfort, I do not host pets in my home, but I am happy to take dogs to local parks or private trails for walks and exercise. As a veterinary student, I bring a strong understanding of animal behavior, stress signals, and safe handling techniques, which helps me adapt to each pet’s individual needs and ensure they feel secure at all times. I take a calm, attentive approach during all walks and visits, carefully monitoring behavior, environment, and overall wellbeing. I am mindful of leash safety, secure handling, and avoiding high risk situations such as unsafe dog interactions or unfamiliar hazards. I respect each client’s home as if it were my own, maintaining cleanliness, following instructions closely, and ensuring your pet’s routine is kept consistent and stress free. Clear communication is important to me, and I always provide updates so you know how your pet is doing and can feel confident they are safe and well cared for while you’re away.
“If you don’t use Juan, I’d say you’re absolutely insane. Patient, caring, responsible and just the right temperament for I believe any fur baby. He’s prompt , on time and communicates leaving you missing your fur baby and yet knowing he or she is in the best of hands. The world needs a few more Juan’s, because I’d trust him with my Pets in heart beat.”

About: With a lifelong passion for dogs rooted in my family upbringing, I bring over a decade of hands-on experience in pet care to every furry friend I meet. From receiving my first dog as a cherished high school graduation gift to nurturing and loving him for the past decade, my journey in canine companionship has been a deeply rewarding one. Our household has always been a haven for dogs, where their well-being and happiness are top priorities. With boundless affection and a genuine love for all things canine, I'm excited to extend my family's warm hospitality to more four-legged companions, providing a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive and feel right at home. My days are structured to accommodate regular walks, play sessions, and cuddle time, providing enriching experiences tailored to their individual needs. Additionally, having a playful 10-year-old Golden Retriever as a companion ensures that there's always a friend ready for interactive fun and socialization. Furthermore, with my mom residing in the same household, there's an additional layer of support and care available, guaranteeing a nurturing environment where your puppies will thrive and feel loved around the clock. TLDR: - Available for boarding & daycare during the week & on the weekend TLDR: - A huge fenced backyard for your puppies to run and play - A playful Golden Retriever & Shiba as a companion - Super flexible with feeding & potty breaks In my home, caring for pets extends beyond mere accommodation; it's about creating a haven where they can truly flourish. With a sprawling fenced backyard awaiting exploration, your puppies will revel in the freedom to frolic and play to their heart's content, ensuring ample exercise and stimulation. Alongside this outdoor paradise, my playful Golden Retriever stands ready as a constant companion, eager to engage in games and companionship. Moreover, I understand the importance of flexibility in pet care, which is why I am accommodating and adaptable with feeding times and potty breaks, catering to the unique needs and schedules of each furry guest. With a commitment to providing a nurturing and enriching environment, rest assured that your pets will receive the utmost love, attention, and care in my home. We require dogs to be up to date with vaccinations and have active flea and tick protection. We occasionally leave an hour or two for errands, and we need to make sure that dogs can be calm in a spacious/contained space with a camera when left alone. For any stay 3 nights or longer, we require an overnight trial at a discounted rate.

“Melissa is amazingq I used her previously with my other pet, and was excited to find her still on Rover to take care of my new cat. She is kind, attentive, and very thorough. I fully trust her to take care good of my pets and highly recommend her!”

“Tina is amazing! I would give her ten stars if I could. She took excellent care of our cats while we were away. Our cats are normally very shy and don't usually make an appearance when we have a sitter, but they loved Tina and came out for her every day. I would HIGHLY recommend Tina for pet sitting. We will definitely book with her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Chino Hills
We cannot say enough how much we appreciate Kristina. We have 3 dogs, one in which has Epilepsy and is timid with new people and with the first meeting with Kristina our boy loved her! Our other 2 love her as well and that was such a blessing. I highly recommend Kristina.
Second time booking Melody and she always goes above and beyond to take care of my three furbabies. She sends a ton of pictures, send detailed updates and is very neat and makes sure the home/area where cats eat and drink are spic and span. She spends time petting and playing with our cats. She is trustworthy and treats our home with respect. We will keep booking her! Highly recommend!

We’re so grateful for the amazing care our cat Dodger received! Jenna was very attentive, responsible, and clearly experienced with cats. She followed all instructions, kept everything clean, and made sure Dodger felt comfortable while we were away. The regular updates and photos meant a lot to us. We would absolutely book again!

Juan was very professional and did exactly what was asked (and more) including coming for a drop-in a few hours prior to make sure that Chester was comfortable. He sent plenty of videos & even brought him to our community’s dog park. Chester even ate his dinner. Thank you, Juan!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
