Pet Sitting in La Verne

About: Hi! My name is Valentina, I’ve been walking dogs for three years now in New York City with another app. I recently moved to California for Veterinary School and it will be my first time working with Rover! I’ve volunteered at dog shelters where I was in charge of walking and feeding them and also administered medications when needed. In New York I had the opportunity to walk over 150 dogs as a part time job while I was also working as a vet assistant in a clinic where we were fear free certified so I take it very seriously to establish a fear free and trusted bond with each animal. I’m really patient with animals and always make sure that they’re having a good time during their walks because it’s not just a walk for them. It’s their opportunity to explore and have some enrichment time! I speak English, Spanish and French so I do my best to establish a clear and transparent communication with every owner about their expectations and requirements of each pet! I currently don’t have any pets here in California so I’m always thrilled to get to spend some time with other pets through these job! I hope I can be a good fit for your furry friend! I’m currently in veterinary school so my availability is mostly during the weekends or afternoons after 5pm. But during the summer I’m open to any other day! I always make sure to communicate as much as possible with the owners. I like to provide a clear picture of how the walk/ sitting is going and to make sure they can feel as close as possible to their pets while they are not with them. I like to let owners know when we are about to leave and then during a pause send them a picture during the walk but I would usually put my phone away until we go back just to be fully present during the walk. I always make sure they have clean water before I leave and to leave them with a treat or toy while I’m leaving just for positive reinforcement!

About: I've taken care of my friends cats and small dogs when I lived in Spain and took care of my own pets for the last 7 years. For the last 5 months, I've been volunteering at an animal shelter and fostering mama cats and their babies. I work from home and can visit people's houses or take in small animals. I work from home part-time. In my spare time I also volunteer at an animal shelter. I am available to stay at your place or bring your small animal in as needed. I have an extra bedroom and a senior dog who is very calm. I also have a safe neighborhood for walks and a park nearby.

I always make sure my pet friends felt welcome and at home in my house. I work a hybrid schedule, Monday-Wednesday in office and Thursday and Friday at home. We’d love to accommodate to drop offs/pick ups, but for those in office days we’d only be able to accept guest dogs after 5:30 pm. Alongside my husband and daughter, we enjoy including your pup into our little family and providing lots of warm love. ~~~Meet & Greets~~~ Although I do not require meet and greets, it is important that your pup is fully comfortable with other people and dogs. I do have a young child that so it is important to know if your dog is okay around children. Since she was a puppy, our dog Marlow has been around many dogs, big and small, and has loved welcoming them into our home as well. She gets so excited having a buddy each time! Although I cannot offer tours of the home, we could always meet in the front yard. If an abnormal time schedule is needed, I'm happy to chat and discuss any adjustments that are needed if I have the capability that week. Your pets are always top priority! During their very first stay, I like to make sure that your peace of mind is met and will send you multiple pictures and updates. We have a fenced yard. We live in a nice and quiet neighborhood where I’ve always felt safe going for walks in. Please let me know if your furbaby needs any special accommodations!

“Paul was great with our Loki who has lots of puppy energy, and Paul adapted great to our needs and was very flexible. Loki likes to avoid other dogs, and so Paul made sure he steered clear of them. Loki was always supervised in the backyard. Loki got two walks for the 6 hours Loki was there. Also, i got a bunch of updates and photos from him. He was super nice and responsive in text. Loki also had fun sleeping, and grabbing pinecones at the park! We’re leaving on a 8 day vacation, and decided go with Paul for boarding, and i’m sure we’ll have the same, great experience. we’ll definitely rebook with him in the future! About: I have a senior 13 year old shi tzuh and have a lot of experience with carrying for dogs from the puppy stage to the senior stage. I also rescued two cats in the past 2 years and have learned so much and love to treat my babies like family. Friends and family ask me to check in on their pets while away on trips as I am reliable and great with animals. You can count on me for your pet care needs. I'm currently a part time student and I have plenty of time to check in on your lovely pets, take them on walks, give them food, water, and entertain them. I live in an apartment with a roomy balcony. I take my dog out for walks and poppy breaks, I let let both my dog and cats relax on the balcony to get their vitamin D and take afternoon naps. The cats mainly stay inside and play and my dog is very mellow and like to relax after her walks and poppy breaks.

About: What sets me apart is my dedication to truly understanding each pet inside and outside of their homes. I offer senior care, follow routines closely, send constant updates, and pride myself on being punctual and reliable. Outside of pet sitting, I am a full time college student. About: I have always had a love for animals. I would distinguish myself as having a well rounded experience with all types of animals from; dogs, cat, birds, puppies and kittens! I will do my absolute best to make sure your loved one feels like they are still with the family. I am an eagle scout so you can count on me to always be prepared! I am currently working part time at my job. But you can always count on me for anything needed, as I am pretty much available anytime in the afternoon and night times any day! So if your special ones just need a play date or just a check up you can definitely count on me! I have always learned to make sure the animals have a sense of trust with me, making sure they get familiar with my scent and not overwhelming them with too much as well. Treats have always seemed to do the trick but I also try my best to show them that I am not trying to invade their space either. Once that trust is made with them, having play dates and continuous visits is so much easier.

About: I am extremely passionate about animals. I have a background in animal behavior and biology, and have worked with domestic and exotic species for most of my life. For dogs, I have worked in rescue and boarding situations. I have a wealth of experience in handling and managing behavioral challenges such as fear aggression, reactivity, and resource guarding. I’ve worked with dogs of all ages, and have been trained to administer all sorts of medications. Additionally, I have worked with puppies and adult dogs in behavioral training, and am more than capable to follow your routines for management. I have worked with all manner of cats, as well as medication administration and general husbandry. I am more than willing to discuss specifics, in the case your kitty has some special instructions. Even if they aren’t the most friendly to strangers, I’m willing to work with them. Reptile, amphibian, and aquatic care is also well within my capabilities. I have experience with a host of different species, and am always willing to discuss specifics. I want what is best for you and your pets, so let me know how I can set them up for success. My schedule changes, but I have general availability throughout the week. Your needs can be discussed and worked with to best fit both our schedules. I always want to set your pets up for success. Open communication and discussion about your pet’s needs is my utmost priority. I want them to be comfortable in my presence, and that starts at the door. Allow me to work with you on how best to care for your animals while they are in my care. Your animals will always be safe in my care, and never placed in an environment that would endanger them.
