“Very happy with Melanie’s care of our cat Kupo! We just needed a few drop in visits over the weekend and it went very well. Melanie sent pictures and videos each time. We would book Melanie again!”

“Rod is awesome! He took the time to meet my dog, Olive before his drop in visit and his warm smile and calm, confident demeanor told me that she was in good hands! You will instantly see how passionate he is about dog care. After his drop in visit, I noticed that Olive seemed much more at ease when I got home from work which is such an improvement from her normally anxious personality. He made sure to let me know in detail about how the visit was and the pictures he sent showed me that my dog has a new best friend in Rod!”

“Hunter has been absolutely amazing with our 12-week-old German Shepherd, Rocky! She’s a sassy puppy with lots of energy, and since Hunter started caring for her, we’ve seen such a positive change. She’s happier, more settled, and even less nippy—which says a lot at this stage! Hunter is patient, attentive, and clearly has a natural connection with dogs. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing Rocky is in such great hands. He keeps us updated and truly goes above and beyond in the care he provides. I can’t recommend Hunter enough. If you’re looking for someone you can trust with your pup, he’s the one. We’ll definitely continue booking with him!”

“Amirah did a fantastic job taking care of our two cats. She followed instructions exactly, cleaned up after them, gave us regular updates, and took photos of them that truly captured their personalities. I highly recommend her!”

About: $20 off your first time using Rover if you use https://www.rover.com/sit/leslyr97923 :) I have grown up with dogs of my own and pet sat for family members and friends growing up. I always make sure my pet friends felt welcome and at home in my house. I work a hybrid schedule, Monday-Wednesday in office and Thursday and Friday at home. We’d love to accommodate to drop offs/pick ups, but for those in office days we’d only be able to accept guest dogs after 5:30 pm. Alongside my husband and daughter, we enjoy including your pup into our little family and providing lots of warm love. ~~~Meet & Greets~~~ Although I do not require meet and greets, it is important that your pup is fully comfortable with other people and dogs. I do have a young child that so it is important to know if your dog is okay around children. Since she was a puppy, our dog Marlow has been around many dogs, big and small, and has loved welcoming them into our home as well. She gets so excited having a buddy each time! Although I cannot offer tours of the home, we could always meet in the front yard. If an abnormal time schedule is needed, I'm happy to chat and discuss any adjustments that are needed if I have the capability that week. Your pets are always top priority! During their very first stay, I like to make sure that your peace of mind is met and will send you multiple pictures and updates. We have a fenced yard. We live in a nice and quiet neighborhood where I’ve always felt safe going for walks in. Please let me know if your furbaby needs any special accommodations!

I’m also super active so can keep up with anything! I currently have open availability to care for your pups on the weekends and most weekdays as I am in school and working part-time! This is not likely to drastically change without prior notice. I live right next door to a beautiful park with tons of range for your dogs to get their energy out and play outside as well as having reliable transportation to come to you and care for your pets at your convenience!
About: My experience with caring for pets is mainly with friends and family. But it makes me feel very honored to care for someone’s animal pal. I have worked with pregnant dogs, puppies, giving medications, over night stays, walking and transportation as well as some reptiles and birds. Oh also enjoy the training aspect of pet care and if that is your intention with your pet, I would love to help! I am currently taking a 2 month break from work and would like to make some income during that time. My schedule is very flexible and negotiable. I take any instructions given very seriously and hope to create a trusting and safe relationship with your pet as well kindness and respect for you.
“Natalie is great! We've used her twice now to care for our cat, and she's been great each time. She's on top of all communications and accommodated our one-off house requests. We feel that she genuinely cares about our cat which takes away our worry.”

As a local aesthetician with a flexible schedule, I’m able to plan my days around what matters most including caring for your pets! About: I have a senior 13 year old shi tzuh and have a lot of experience with carrying for dogs from the puppy stage to the senior stage. I also rescued two cats in the past 2 years and have learned so much and love to treat my babies like family. Friends and family ask me to check in on their pets while away on trips as I am reliable and great with animals. You can count on me for your pet care needs. I'm currently a part time student and I have plenty of time to check in on your lovely pets, take them on walks, give them food, water, and entertain them. I live in an apartment with a roomy balcony. I take my dog out for walks and poppy breaks, I let let both my dog and cats relax on the balcony to get their vitamin D and take afternoon naps. The cats mainly stay inside and play and my dog is very mellow and like to relax after her walks and poppy breaks.
“Shanise is definitely a reliable and knowledgeable person to care for animals. This review is for past 2 times we had Shanise sit our dog. Our dog Winston had surgery week before we were to go on a family vacation and she assured me , with her background, he would just fine… (she sent pictures and updates . gave medication, checked his wound and cleaned his cone and of course gave him cuddles and love every visitI. This current doggie care she once again came on her scheduled times and spent quality time with Winston, brushing him, outside time and giving him the attention he loves. She is my go to person, I can go on vacation and know Winston is okay🐾”

“Angie is my dog, Olive's new bestie! I've never met anyone so intuitive when it comes to caring for dogs and it definitely shows. Olive is typically very anxious but when I get home from work, she's relaxed and happy. Angie also sends comprehensive recaps of each visit and plenty of photos. She took the time to meet Olive before her drop in visit and asked all the right questions to set herself up for success. I'm excited to create a lasting partnership with Angie as I feel that Olive is in the best hands possible while I am away.”

“Rachel took amazing care of our Polly. This was our first time working with her and it won't be our last! Rachel took the time to meet with us before her drop-in care started. She asked questions, took notes, and played with Polly so that our little senior felt comfortable with her. During her home visits, she updated us daily with brief and informative notes and awesome photos! We knew we found the right Rover match! Rachel's personal care ensured that Polly was completely unfazed and calm when we returned home. To Polly, Rachel's visit was a play date! So wonderful! We'll call Rachel first whenever we need loving pet care. :-)”
About: I've always had a special connection with animals. My dogs and cats have been rescued, not from a pound but have come to me either from the streets or random place. Had a mixed Rottweiler pup who followed me one rainy night, named him Lucky. Another rainy night years later a kitten followed me to my door, named her Pandora. Rescued a cat from inside a car hood once. Found an injured red cheeked parrot on the sidewalk, who I brought back to health and released back with its flock. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, I say with a little patience and lots of love you can teach any animal something new. I have had parents who's dog isn't so social walk up to me, sniff and ask to be pet. The parent telling me they don't EVER do that. Wouldn't mind a crazy active dog, love to stay active by walking around our beautiful parks. My week is pretty flexible I have a lot of free time on my paws. So your children will be very well looked after, they might get annoyed with having me around so much. Have a small yard that has a very small brick wall. I know the importance of safety and always having dog on leash. In-home in or out of crate is fine. And home visits whatever the owner is comfortable with.
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in La Verne is $25
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - La Verne
Xujing was really good dog sitter. It was my first time using this app. I wasn't sure about how it will go. But she was very kind and understanding of our situation and helped us for 3-4 days while we were out on vacation. She even helped me save my water bill as I left (forgot) the water following in my yard. That was really a save for me.
Hunt took care of my dying dog who was peeing everywhere she had to be washed and he took such wonderful care of her on top of taking care of the other puppy I have. He was on time he stayed and played with them. He hand fed our sick dog. He made sure that they both ate and drank water and went out and did their business. I highly recommend him.
Melanie was a perfect fit for my two kitties. She put my mind at ease knowing that when I'm away, Melanie will step in and take care of them. Her photos were great to see and I can tell my kitties were happy to see her. I definitely want to have Melanie back to care for my cats.

Lily cared for our cat Spirit while we were away on our honeymoon and did a fantastic job, she was able to give her medicine, take care of her food water and littler all while giving her all the attention she needed! We will absolutely have her again in the future. Definitely recommend!

Our kitty’s love Stacy. When she came over to drop off the key, one met her at the front door and the other who was in my lap) started purring and meowed to her like she talks to us. This is our third time Stacy has watched our kitties for us and I will definitely hire her again. My kitties agree with me. She communicates well, sends photos of our kitties and I feel she is very trustworthy.

Stacey has been an absolute blessing for our family! She is incredibly patient, kind, and attentive with our 11-week-old German Shepherd. Stacey goes above and beyond—feeding her lunch, taking her on walks, playing with her, and giving her plenty of time to explore both our courtyard and backyard. We especially love the thoughtful updates and adorable photos she sends throughout her visits—it gives us so much peace of mind. We’ve already rebooked with Stacey and plan to continue doing so. If we could give more than 5 stars, we absolutely would! ⭐️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
