About: Hi! I'm Renae, a lifelong animal lover with a calm, gentle personality and a genuine passion for caring for pets. I know how important it is to feel confident and worry free when you're away, so I focus on safety, communication, and lots of love. I care for pets the way I care for my own, with patience, attention and respect for their routine. I would love to meet your pets and help make your time away easier and stress free. I've designed my schedule around providing reliable, loving attention to every animal I look after seamlessly integrating walks, feeding times and playtime into my flow. I can dog sit 2 pets from same household. Pet care naturally fits into my daily and weekly routine because it blends seamlessly with the rhythm of my home life. Each day includes dedicated time for feeding, fresh water, walks, play and simple check-ins to make sure pets feel calm, comfortable, and loved. I structure my schedule so that pet visits are spaced throughout the day, allowing me to give each animal my full attention and unhurried care.

“McKenzie is the absolute best! Dependable! Wish I could use her everyday. Tries to problem solve with you, flexible. Above all, my dog Tully loves her and enjoys their brisk mile walk 💕”

About: I've taken care of my friends cats and small dogs when I lived in Spain and took care of my own pets for the last 7 years. For the last 5 months, I've been volunteering at an animal shelter and fostering mama cats and their babies. I work from home and can visit people's houses or take in small animals. I work from home part-time. In my spare time I also volunteer at an animal shelter. I am available to stay at your place or bring your small animal in as needed. I have an extra bedroom and a senior dog who is very calm. I also have a safe neighborhood for walks and a park nearby.
About: (Please be sure to select your dates first to verify my availability.) Recently retired. I have owned dogs my whole life and love their company. My wife and I have a large house with a small lawn in the back yard and nearby is big, beautiful Griffith Park in Claremont that invites lots of walking, running and playing space in a very safe neighborhood. I can devote much of the day to the care and welfare of dogs. I take daily walks for myself and they would be much more enjoyable with a dog. My wife and I love dogs and shower them with affection and care. Lots of safe play space, indoors and out, in a dog-friendly neighborhood. (Sorry, no dogs on beds or furniture but they’ll receive all the love and attention they need.)
About: I have been pet sitting for 10+ years and grew up on a farm which has given me a great skill set for caring for and training many different animals including cats and dogs of all ages, horses, and even llamas! I am currently a veterinary student in SoCal, so I have a wide variety of experience with different animals. I am a second year veterinary student. Taking care of animals is without a doubt my true passion so I’d love to help care for your furies friends however possible. I currently have 4 pets at home so I will only be offering sitting and walks outside of our home. I have had many animals so I absolutely understand the importance of safety and trust between the owner and myself. I always make sure to ask about any personality traits of your pet that I should know about as well as anything related to feeding, medications, lifestyle, and potty scheduling.
“Zoe was amazing with my boy Ace! We first met in person at my apartment where she got to meet Ace. Ace loves her at first sniff lol! We took a tour and got to know one another. Even before that I could tell Zoe was just a beautiful soul before we met. She was so nice to take care of Ace at my last minute request. She sent pictures, took him for nice long walks and communicated with me very well while I was away. I’m definitely going to use her for future boarding, walking and house sitting!”

Being a pet owner for many years my schedule has been made to always accommodate my pets needs as well and that also implies here. I have a fenced yard and two dogs to keep your fur baby company. They are both very friendly around other animals and if you are not comfortable with yours being around other animals, that is totally understandable and I can easily separate them into their own individual spaces. I can crate them as well too if desired or needed. I have a very open backyard so lots of space to run around. As far as service in your home, I make sure to keep it how I walked into the space by meeting the dog or cat’s needs and cleaning up any messes they may have left. Following step by step instructions of how the pet owner would like the service done for their fur babies!
“Melanie was a joy to work with! She sent me so many cute video updates of my pups, and I knew they were in great hands! I will definitely reach out next time I am in the area.”

About: Ever since I was a child, my passion for animals has always been a driving force in my life. This led me to volunteer at Petco during my high school years, where I dedicated myself to caring for the cats. For a period of two years, I gained valuable experience and grew comfortable with all life stages of feline companions. Currently, I am proud to be a professional dog trainer and groomer, having immersed myself in this industry for the past three years. I find immense joy in every aspect of my work, particularly in building strong relationships with dogs of various breeds and their loving owners. Whether it's working with energetic puppies, hyperactive dogs, or shy and vulnerable senior canines, I am at ease and confident in my abilities to provide the appropriate care and support they need. Furthermore, I have recently taken on the role of a pet rescuer, which has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Advocating for these voiceless creatures and helping them acclimate to their new environments brings me great fulfillment. Being their voice and ensuring their comfort is a responsibility I hold dear. Overall, my journey has been driven by an unwavering love for animals, and I am thrilled to continue making a positive impact in their lives through my work as a pet care professional and rescuer. I understand that each animal is unique and may have their own boundaries and preferences, so I make an effort to respect and accommodate those needs. As a professional in the pet care industry, I have developed a keen ability to read various types of body language exhibited by animals. This skill allows me to gauge their comfort levels and understand what makes them feel at ease. I am patient and willing to go the extra mile to make sure that a new dog in their home feels safe and secure. If that means sitting on the floor until they feel comfortable approaching me, I am more than happy to do so. Consistency is key in maintaining their well-being and I am committed to upholding the routines and practices that you have established. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - La Verne
I got called in for an overnight shift very last minute and I wasn’t able to walk my dog before I left. I wasn’t a little skeptical about Rover, but after finding Mia through mutals on social media and seeing her veterinary background, I felt so at ease. When I checked my blink camera, my dog Cairo was tucked in bed with his favorite blanket. I will be booking again. 🫶🏼

Wow, such great service! Hunter arrived promptly for Parker’s walk today. He was very polite and Parker liked him right away. After they returned from their walk, Hunter asked if he could give Parker treats, which Parker loved. Hunter provided photos and a detailed Rover card of their visit, which I really appreciated. I plan to book more walks with him in the future!☺️

Ava is amazing. One of our dogs is stubborn and not good with new people, but Ava was patient during the meet and greet, got the dog to be friendly with her despite our worries. She has also been great at following all of our little instructions and shows a lot of love to the dogs. Highly recommended.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
