Pet care experience
Vet student with lots of experience
Hello! I'm Kellar, a first year vet student. Before starting school, I worked for two years at an emergency hospital as a vet assistant. I've been pet-sitting for neighbors since I was 12, and I helped to train and take care of my family dog when I was only 5! I've worked in vet clinics, emergency hospitals, and spay-and-neuter clinics, and volunteered at shelters. I am comfortable working with animals with behavioral issues! I love all animals. Need someone to pet-sit for your snake, lizard, mouse, bird, or spider (or any other species)? I'm your person! (Cost for exotic pet care will vary based on level of care required) (Please note that I cannot diagnose or treat your pet. That will need to be handled by a licensed veterinarian. I am, however able to give medications that have already been prescribed to your pet.)

Please note that if you are a new client looking to book overnight housesitting during the school year (August - May, not including holidays) I may request that you complete a weekend-only booking in advance before approving that booking. This is to ensure that I can balance your pet's needs as well as my education. Thank you for understanding! If your pet has any behavioral issues or medical needs that I should be aware of, I will make sure we discuss those at our meet-and-greet!
Ratings and reviews
Thanks again to Kellar for taking such great care of Barney!! This is the second time using Kellar and both times have been great. Thank you Kellar for bringing some different toys for Barney to play with to change things up!

Our dogs really enjoyed their drop in visit with Kellar. Kellar did a wonderful job of noticing what the dogs were communicating and responding accordingly. They took care of dinner and made sure to administer medication to our pup who needs it. I appreciated all of the photo and video updates throughout the visit. Thanks Kellar!

Thank you Kellar for taking such good care of our senior pup! We were nervous about going away for the weekend and leaving our dog at home since he is starting to show his age. Kellar was great about sending us updates and taking extra special care of our dog when he had some anxious nights while we were gone.

We are very happy with the care Kellar provided to Barney. This was the first time using a pet care service and we were a little apprehensive, as no one other than family members have ever taken care of him since he became diabetic 4 years ago. After meeting with Kellar prior to the booking, I knew it would be a good fit. We were happy to receive multiple photos from Kellar of Barney throughout the visits. We will definitely use Kellar in the future

Keller is a FANTASTIC dog walker. Beck, my 80lb Shepard mix, got along with them IMMEDIATELY. It was like magic. Kellar is magic with dogs and I cannot recommend them enough. 10/10 will book again!

Keller was truly wonderful with Pasha and Marie! I have such a hard time leaving my pets, especially because Pasha is older and has some health needs and medications, so I usually don’t feel like I have the freedom to go on trips without having so much anxiety about them. Keller really changed that for me. They were so kind, thoughtful, communicative, and attentive from the very beginning. They sent lots of updates and photos, asked thoughtful questions, and were so careful with Pasha’s routine, walks, meals, and medications. It was clear that they genuinely cared about both of my girls feeling comfortable, safe, and loved. Pasha and Marie both warmed up to Keller so quickly, which honestly says everything. Having someone I could actually trust with my fur babies made such a huge difference, and I’m so grateful we found them. I will absolutely continue using Keller to watch my fur babies and highly recommend them.

Schedule
Vet school is a full time job (or two!), but I love to take care of animals before or after school and on the weekends.
- Cats0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbs41 to 100 lbsover 101 lbsKellar can host up to 3 drop-ins per day
- Please let me know how your dog is around kids, people, and other animals! This lets me gauge how I will handle our walks together. If your pet has any other behavioural needs (runs out the door, resource guards, scared of loud noises, etc.) please let me know at the meet n' greet visit so we can come up with a plan to best take care of your pet.
