“I recently had the pleasure of entrusting my beloved Pup Rocky to the care of Adrian and Jovan, two extraordinary Pup sitters. Their professionalism, warmth, and genuine love for animals was evident from the moment we met. My Rocky was not only well taken care of but also showered with affection, playtime, and attention. It was clear that Adrian and Jovan went above and beyond to ensure Rocky’s happiness and comfort. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking outstanding and safe care for their furry companions.”

“Jose and his wife were amazing with Hazey! They took such good care of her and kept me updated throughout the day with lots of photos and messages. You can tell they genuinely care about the dogs they watch. I really appreciate how kind and accommodating they were, and I’d definitely trust them with Hazey again!”

“I am so grateful for Renae. She watches my dog twice a week and it gives me peace of mind knowing he’s in such good, caring hands. She takes him on hikes, plays with him, and genuinely cares about his well-being. He always looks so happy and sleeps so good after a day with her. It’s such a relief to know he is being loved when I’m not able to be with him.”
“Analisa was excellent! Very friendly and clearly cared about our dog a lot. Sent tons of photos and videos throughout the day, which I appreciated. Will definitely use again.”

“We had an excellent experience with Denise! She did a fantastic job of keeping us updated on our dog’s activities and well-being. We received frequent pictures, which really put our minds at ease while we were away. Our dog looked happy and well-cared for in every photo. We highly recommend and will definitely book with her again in the future!”

About: I have fostered all types of animals and I use to live in a farm down in Norco. I have fostered dogs, cats and even rabbits. I always store an emergency kit for the animals that I foster. I have antibiotics, ear drops, antifungal cream and much more because I use to take care of animals that were abandoned and rescues. I am always prepared that’s why I have done cpr classes for animals that way if something happens I am well prepared. I am well trusted to take care of your pet because I treat all animals with compassion and lots of love. I will guarantee that I will make sure your pet is comfortable, well taken care of, and feel safe at all cost. I will most definitely love to equip with toys that way they are able to have fun and have time to exercise that way they are happy and healthy. I'd love to take care of your pet because I am experienced and love animals. If you have exotic animals I am also experienced to take care of them as well since I have taken care of all sorts of animals in the past. Thank you for taking the time to read!! I have a pretty flexible schedule I haven’t been able to pet sit for the past year because of the pandemic but I can’t wait to show all the animals the love that I have for them because each one deserves love! The way I take care of the pets I babysat was making sure I clip their nails that way they stay clean and groom them with a brush so that way they don’t shed too much and I love to train them with tricks and teaching them how to walk and ovey commands.
“I could tell during the meet and greet that Paul and Lisa are very kind and caring people who love dogs, and I was confident that my little Tula with separation axiety would be safe in their care. And on her first full day stay at Paul's, I could tell by the pics and texts from Paul that she was indeed safe and cared for! Plus, I was able to relax on my day away!”

“Ariana was amazing and took such great care of Captain she gave updates and made me feel at ease knowing Captain was in good hands. Thanks for understanding my dog breeds needs and we can’t wait to book again for daycare needs!”

“I'm so glad I found a reliable dog sitter close to my home. Denins is very reliable, responsible, and well experienced. He sent me lots of videos of Bella. Bella had so much fun with Dennis and the other dogs. Bella looked very happy and comfortable there. I enjoyed watching the videos without any worries. Bella slept like a baby in the bed that night. ... Overall, Bella and we are very happy with Dennis' dog care. I highly recommend him!! Thank you so very much, Dennis 😊🙏👍”

“Scott and Shelby were great. We knew from the begining that Kai was in good hands. I received pictures and Kai looked happy playing all the time. We were very satisfied.”

“Yu was a great dog sitter! His dogs got along well with my dog, he did walks around the neighborhood, and he took great pictures to show me throughout the day how my dog was doing so I can check in and feel assured that he was doing ok and happy. There was even a picture where my dog was happy playing in the grass under the sun in his backyard with his dogs with a smile on his face so I was really satisfied with his services. I will definitely book again. THANK YOU YU for taking great care of my son!”

“Very professional, very friendly and have a very good environment for the dogs like our Gracie that have a very high anxiety and get really nervous with other people. We’ve been changing different sitters for straight 3 days and we finally found where she can be more relaxed and feel safe in her surroundings. First time we picked up our baby happy and not sad and slept well when we got home. Definitely recommend Jimmy for your fur babies and we are definitely use him again.”

“This is the second time we have used Brenda and we will not hesitate to use her in the future. Harriet is a rescue and she is slow to relax in new and unfamiliar settings. However, after each visit Harriet is quick to recover. We would recommend Brenda to everyone.”

“Francesca was great with my fur baby. she is helping me with his pad training and going outside. I have seen a big improvement. She sends pictures and makes suggestions that will help keep him on a schedule”

About: I’ve been around animals for most of my life! I grew up with my dog Molly who was part of my family for 14 years, so I understand the responsibility that goes into caring for a dog through all the stages of their life. I also volunteered at a dog shelter for about a year, where I walked dogs, cleaned their kennels, fed them, and of course spent plenty of time playing and cuddling with them! This gave me experience caring for dogs with different personalities and needs. I’ve also fostered three kittens (at separate times) who needed medication and extra care. On top of that, I’ve cared for friends’ dogs both in their homes and mine. I’ve done everything from feeding and walks to drop-in visits and having dogs stay with me for extended periods of time. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I’ll treat your pet with the same love and care I’d want someone to give my own! My school schedule varies Monday through Thursday, but I’m usually home earlier on Mondays and Wednesdays. Tuesdays and Thursdays are my longer days, and I typically get home around 8 PM. I’m mostly free on weekends, which gives me plenty of time to spend with your pets! If I do need to step out for a little while, my mom or dad is usually home and can keep an eye on them. Whenever I’m caring for a dog, I do my best to be home with them for the majority of their stay. I make sure they’re fed according to their normal routine, get plenty of potty breaks and walks, and receive lots of attention throughout the day! I also understand that every pet has their own routine, so I’m happy to follow any feeding schedules, walking routines, medication instructions, or other special care their owner provides.
“Wow! The most amazing, kind, loving, fun and responsible doggy caretaker ever. You are part of the family. Milo loves you so much and is always excited to see you. I feel so blessed to have found you. Hight highly highly recommended.”

About: I’ve cared for pets of all ages and temperaments, from playful puppies to gentle seniors. My background includes basic obedience training, administering medications, and providing calm, consistent care for anxious pets. I treat every animal as if they were my own, focusing on their safety, comfort, and happiness. Whether it’s a walk, overnight stay, or special-needs care, I make sure your pet feels loved and secure while you’re away. Taking care of a pet is an important part of daily and weekly life. On a daily basis, pet care includes feeding, providing fresh water, and spending some time playing or exercising with your pet to keep them happy and healthy. Regular check-ins allow you to notice any changes in their behavior or health. Weekly routines often involve deeper care, such as grooming, bathing, cleaning living areas, and restocking supplies like food and toys. These activities help maintain your pet’s hygiene and overall well-being. Integrating pet care into your routine not only ensures your pet’s health but also strengthens the bond between you and your furry (or not-so-furry) friend. Caring for pets requires attention, compassion, and adapting to each pet’s unique needs. Whether the pet is in your own home or at a client’s home, the goal is to ensure their comfort, safety, and happiness. In Your Own Home: You provide a familiar and loving environment where pets receive consistent care. This includes regular feeding, fresh water, exercise, playtime, grooming, and monitoring their health. You can tailor activities based on each pet’s personality and preferences, creating a stable routine that promotes their well-being. In a Client’s Home: Caring for pets at a client’s home means respecting the pet’s environment and the owner’s instructions. You follow established routines for feeding, exercise, medication, and social interaction to maintain the pet’s comfort and reduce stress. Being attentive and responsive to the pet’s behavior helps build trust and ensures they feel safe while their owner is away. In both settings, communication with pet owners is key to understanding specific needs and preferences, allowing you to provide the best possible care.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
