“Marisol was great with Cooper. She was very kind, communicative, and made the whole drop-off and pick-up process easy. She kept us updated throughout the stay with messages and photos, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Cooper looked comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for the entire time. I really appreciated how attentive and friendly she was. I would definitely book with her again.”

About: Growing up on my family ranch, I’ve had 8 dogs and 12 cats. I am well experienced in the level of care, love, and play our fur family members require. Now that I’ve moved for college, to hopefully become an animal rights lawyer, I really miss my fur babies. I have had a range of dogs and understand the needs of various breads. For instance, I’ve had an Italian Mastiff, Chihuahua, Blue Healer, and Terrier. I can promise that all the love and attention I want to be providing for my pets back home, I will be giving to your dogs and cats here. I am currently working a part-time online internship, and I have all the time in the world to be caring for your pets! With my free time, I will be able to stay attentive to your pets needs and take them out on frequent walks, if that’s what they need. It will also mean I can give them endless pets! I live with my partner, who I’ve known since I was 4 years old. His mother is a K-9 search and rescuer so he has grown up training and caring for dogs his whole life. My apartment building has a closed in dog park, which I am considering as the closed in yard. It is incredibly convenient, safe, and great for the dogs! In my home, pets are considered family. This means their needs are seen as just as important as anyone else in the home. Of course, I will respect any guidelines that you provide for the way you want your dog or cat to be cared for. Whether that’s crating, allowed or not allowed on furniture, etc. You know your pets best!
“Nice person. Kept me updated on the pup with pictures. Pup was able to socialize with multiple people in her household which is great for the age of my pup. You can tell she is very genuine about caring for animals.”
“Our Boba had another great time with Xutao! We received pictures and videos of Boba playing with the other dogs he was sitting and love seeing how much fun all of them were having. When we picked up Boba, we can tell he had a great time and received everything we dropped off with Boba including a washed clean bowl and cleaned out container :)”

About: I have had lots of experience around all kids of pups for my entire life, belonging to close family to friends. I often dogsit for my Auntie, who's energetic shelter puppy is now older and very anxious, and it is incredibly rewarding! Feeding schedules and socialization are the top priority! I am a student who is home for the summer, so I am at home every day! I am not employed over the summer, so I have time to devote my attention to your beloved pets! Feeding schedules are at 8 am when I usually wake up, 2 pm when I prepare lunch, and dinner is at 8pm. Walks and play sessions will be in between! Any baths can be administered before dinner! I have a large, fenced backyard that is perfect for energetic dogs of any size. The inside of the home is clean, and there are several empty, cool rooms that are perfect for cats to relax in. I have no animals in the home, so visitors are free to explore comfortably!

“Greta is and outstanding sitter. Gidget loves to go to her house and play with other pups. I don’t worry about Gidget while I am at work because I know she is not only safe but she is having fun!! She is amazing!!”

“Anthony is so great with the dogs. He's very trustworthy and always my first choice as I know my puppy is in really good hands. Anthony's dogs are very welcoming to my pup as well.”

“Salona has taken care of Milo before and she always does a great job! She sends updates when Milo eats and pictures of him playing in the yard. She’s so accommodating of schedule changes too, and I appreciate her so much for taking Milo so last minute on a holiday! I would definitely recommend her care to anyone looking for a sitter 🩷”

“Like most dog owners, I’m very protective of my dogs! When I got my 10 week old puppy, I was nervous about leaving him anywhere for the day while I had to travel for work. I reached out to Monica and she was responsive and made herself available. Instantly, she asked questions and provided me with useful information which let me know that my pup would be in good hands. Fast forward to leaving my puppy there and I must say, it was wonderful! She paid attention and made sure keep me updated if anything out of the ordinary was happening (since the puppy was new to me too). She cared so much about the puppy right from the start. The next day, she even remembered to check in and ask if the vet appointment went well the day before. I could tell she was genuine and really appreciated this about her. We absolutely plan on re-booking Monica for our future pet sitting needs. I know my dog will look forward to spending time with her as he grows up and we couldn’t be more thankful! If you need a pet sitter- look no more, you can rely on Monica ??”

First time leaving my coco with someone he didn’t he was a little nervous and scared at first but the first time pictures Marisol sent me he was doing great Coco came home with no energy lol which is a good thing overall this was a great experience thank you Marisol

Booked just a few hours of doggy daycare. It was a last minute request but Christopher was responsive, nice and friendly. Immediately offered to have a call to learn more about our dog and make sure he and his house would be a good fit. He had a cute dog that was friendly and seemed to get along with ours during his stay. I would not hesitate to book with Christopher again if we needed his help again in the future.

Truth be told, Frank is the BEST! My dog has been back with Frank quite a few times and we are never disappointed. Frank is great with our dog and always keeps us in the loop with pictures, videos and texts. Besides all this our dog is very content with his time with Frank. Thank so very much Frank for all that you do for Cooper!

Alexis was so sweet. She and her son cared Bennett over a long day. He took to them quickly :) She was easy to reach for updates, very receptive to all the info on Bennett, she also took tips to learn more about him as he stayed her. I really appreciated the feedback of his stay she gave us especially as it was a first for him to be sat w someone with a young child without us. We had a great experience with Alexis and will definitely reach out again if we need another sitter :)

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Upland commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
