“Estella is so sweet and took care of my dogs so well! They love her and get excited to see her and play with her own dogs in the backyard. She sends lots of cute photos and videos and updates me on what they do during the day. I would definitely recommend her and will come back if I need dog sitting in the future! She also has a background in fostering dogs, so I feel confident she knows how to handle a lot of different breeds, ages, and needs, giving them all the love and attention they need to feel like it's another home.”

“Marisol was great with Cooper. She was very kind, communicative, and made the whole drop-off and pick-up process easy. She kept us updated throughout the stay with messages and photos, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Cooper looked comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for the entire time. I really appreciated how attentive and friendly she was. I would definitely book with her again.”

“I can't say enough about Analisa. Olivia had a blast in the pool, and playing with the other dogs. I felt that Analisa watched out for Olivia like she was her own. I highly recommend anyone looking for a pet a sitter. You will not be disappointed.”

“Greta is and outstanding sitter. Gidget loves to go to her house and play with other pups. I don’t worry about Gidget while I am at work because I know she is not only safe but she is having fun!! She is amazing!!”

“I’ve been bringing Kylie to Allen and family for over a year and have been impressed with the care and affection she receives. Allen is kind and gentle and Kylie loves going to see him. I highly recommend Allen to anyone needing a sitter who provides such care.”

“Amanda was amazing! Sent photos, gave medication and fed my little gremlin throughout his all day stay. I am very satisfied with her service and will definitely continue to book with her.”

“This is the second time we have used Brenda and we will not hesitate to use her in the future. Harriet is a rescue and she is slow to relax in new and unfamiliar settings. However, after each visit Harriet is quick to recover. We would recommend Brenda to everyone.”

“Emily was an excellent dog sitting for Kenya. Never had one before and Kenya immediately jump on her like she knows her before. Very professionally, I would use her again. Although, it is little far from us but I think important here is the relation between the dog and the sitter. She knows how to take care of her. thanks Emily”

“Jenny was amazing with Pepper. She was able to accommodate us last minute and was very flexible with timing. She sent us pics and updates often and was very quick in replying to us.”

“David did an absolutely fantastic job watching our Golden Retriever, Bailey! From start to finish, he was incredibly flexible and easy to work with, which made the whole experience completely stress-free. We received tons of great pictures and videos, so we never had to wonder how Bailey was doing. It was so clear that Bailey was getting plenty of love, attention, and—most importantly—plenty of belly rubs! David genuinely cared for our pup like his own. We will definitely be booking with him again!”

“The best!! She’s very patient with my Bichon who is a extremely picky eater. She’s also very kind towards my dachshund who is full of energy. Our dogs loved her so quickly with just one day of spending time with her. Her house is also set up perfectly to take care of dogs!!”

“Very professional, very friendly and have a very good environment for the dogs like our Gracie that have a very high anxiety and get really nervous with other people. We’ve been changing different sitters for straight 3 days and we finally found where she can be more relaxed and feel safe in her surroundings. First time we picked up our baby happy and not sad and slept well when we got home. Definitely recommend Jimmy for your fur babies and we are definitely use him again.”

“Mia was great for setting up a meet and great before watching our Molly for the first time. She and her fiance were so friendly and welcoming. I loved how Brandon got down to Molly's level to get to know her. Was so sweet. Drop off and pick up were super easy. Mia took care of a little incident with Molly's surgical onesie with great care and eased our minds. She was one week post spay surgury. Molly was very happy when we picked her up. We look forward to using Mia's caring services again.”

“Tiffanny is a true animal lover. I’m so happy we chose her to watch our Zeke. She sent pictures and video the entire time she had him. I enjoyed our day knowing our pup was in such great hands. I would not hesitate to leave Zeke with her again. If your looking for a great sitter for your fur baby definitely contact Tiffanny.”

First time leaving my coco with someone he didn’t he was a little nervous and scared at first but the first time pictures Marisol sent me he was doing great Coco came home with no energy lol which is a good thing overall this was a great experience thank you Marisol

Booked just a few hours of doggy daycare. It was a last minute request but Christopher was responsive, nice and friendly. Immediately offered to have a call to learn more about our dog and make sure he and his house would be a good fit. He had a cute dog that was friendly and seemed to get along with ours during his stay. I would not hesitate to book with Christopher again if we needed his help again in the future.

Truth be told, Frank is the BEST! My dog has been back with Frank quite a few times and we are never disappointed. Frank is great with our dog and always keeps us in the loop with pictures, videos and texts. Besides all this our dog is very content with his time with Frank. Thank so very much Frank for all that you do for Cooper!

Alexis was so sweet. She and her son cared Bennett over a long day. He took to them quickly :) She was easy to reach for updates, very receptive to all the info on Bennett, she also took tips to learn more about him as he stayed her. I really appreciated the feedback of his stay she gave us especially as it was a first for him to be sat w someone with a young child without us. We had a great experience with Alexis and will definitely reach out again if we need another sitter :)

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Upland commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
