“This team does an amazing job taking care of your animals. When you come home your loved pets are very calm and feel loved. I highly recommend home visits from Yumi and Cody.”

“I feel very fortunate to have found Bonnie. She has cared for my pup twice now, and it’s been a wonderful fit. She’s always punctual (often early), professional, and attentive with my dog. Bonnie stays in constant communication and frequently sends photo updates, which I truly appreciate. I hope she continues to be available, as I’m confident she will quickly become my go-to sitter. Thank you, Bonnie—you’re amazing!”

Sign up for Rover through my link to get $20 off your first booking! https://www.rover.com/sit/marisl04002 My goal is simple: to give your pet the same level of comfort, attention, and care they get when you’re home. As a sitter, I bring personal attention, reliability, and genuine love to every pet I care for. I don't just watch pets — I bond with them. I take time to understand each animal’s personality, routine, and special needs to ensure they feel safe, loved, and relaxed in your absence. I tailor my care to match your pet’s unique habits — whether that’s extra playtime, medication schedules, special diets, or just quiet companionship. I treat every home and pet as if they were my own, with professionalism, respect, and a high level of communication. Daily updates and photos are always included, so you can travel with peace of mind. As a part-time pet sitter who provides boarding, pet care is central to how I structure my days. When pets stay with me, I treat their needs as my top priority, creating a warm, safe, and engaging environment throughout the weekend. My routine includes regular feeding times, exercise, play sessions, and quiet rest periods, all designed to keep pets comfortable and happy away from home. Communication with pet parents is part of my routine too — I provide regular updates and photos so they feel connected and confident their pets are in good hands. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and stable environment where pets feel secure and cared for, and pet parents can trust their fur baby is safe, whether in my home or theirs.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Upland
Tanta ia the absolute best. For the first time our family was able to take a trip together because of Tanya's care of our animals. Since we have had our dog, we’ve never been able to travel together. She came prior to our trip to meet our dog and us. She kept her commitment and came to not only feed our pets but to play love and snuggle them. We are ever so grateful for you!

Braelyn was very conscientious and flexible with her time to get to know my dogs and learn about their midday routine prior to the actual drop-in visit. My dogs have taken to her, which is big deal as one of my dogs is quite judgy and wary of certain people. I appreciated her honesty and care for my crew.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
